Hi All
I have been searching for quite long time for creeds ROM for my Galaxy Y Duos GT-S6102 but none could find.
Is it safe to install the one in this link:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1453286
Has anyone tried to install it on Galaxy Y Duos S6102?

Probably installing that ROM on yo phone will make yo phone a single Sim phone or probably mobile communication would not work anymore.. Also you'll have prob with camera..

Its not possible ....... If u want u custom rom for galaxy y duos ...... Use TD 1.1 and great TD 1.5 coming soon..... Also use custom kernel iDUOS check my sig.........

Yeah....manoranjan2050 is right. And you can always start making your own rom. The guides are the same.

So it seems TD1.1 and TD1.5 are still on GB. I am wondering if any ICS-"LIKE" custom ROM will be ported soon to S6102!!

Haha ,, i tried install idroid from mini to my galaxy y but my device not bricked haha but it not boot up so i flash it ,

i installed creed on my s6102 but... it was working only one sim and also was crashing like hell....
no soft brick or hard brick. i restored the nandroid back up with ease.

TD 1.5 under testing and some more feture pending .... Its only for now TD dev group ........

No it is based on gingerbread

i flashed on my duos... it's working... u can try.. BUT i am NOT responsible for any damage.. just flash stock rom via odin if any damage occurs!

We dont have even a working compiled AOSP Gingerbread based rom so ICS will have to wait a long time

Ya even i installed the rom on my Samsung Galaxy Y Duos and it almost bricked my phone and my both sim functionality stopped..
So better don't try it..
hello
i have done foolowing steps to instal ics on my galaxy y duos
1. ics on my sd card
2. enterd into recovery mode
3. update from sd card
it has shown the message installion complete
but , my phone is getting restarted over and over so plzz any onne help me on this wat happened to my mobile :crying:

The two phones are quite different....there's a very high chance of hard-bricking your phone....

It wont hard brick a phone lol(unless u mess wid kernel)... btw I hav tried installing their roms on my sgy and it boots but never works mayb these roms can be ported to theirs phone?
Answer is no
If phone voots after flashing rom then its a miracle, and even if it did boot im sure its not going to function normally

if the dev or author of the rom said it is supported, you can flash it otherwise DON'T. you might brick your phone.

Hi I would like to have a custom ROM and a Kernel through which I can do the below.
1. Boot ROM from SD card to have more Internal Memory.
2. Use Swap for a better performance
3. Better battery life if possible. !!!!

Is there any ROM or method already to get it for my Galaxy Y Duos S6102.

im afraid its not possible. ace and galaxy y are two different phones with different drivers etc. Think of it like this-ace firmware was never meant to be used on galaxy y

but ace i(gt-s5830i)'s rom can port to galaxy y. i tried to port a custom rom of ace i, it installed succesfully but dont booted so maybe can boot it with good knowledge.

Just flash it directly....it wont brick ur phone...
Resolution if s2 and grand is same 480x800...and these are just themed apks....so no problem at all....simply flash it..
(I would still arvice backup ur rom first in case by cwm/recovry u using)..

Plus: its likely to flash it on 4.1, because the screenshot is looks like touchwiz 4.1
