Hi all
I am new user here in polaris section, but I just got myself one 4 days ago.
I noticed there is alot of norwegians, here so I guess a wm6.1 rom in norwegian could be nice
it will ofcourse be a beta, since its my first release in polaris.
Guess you can call it a hybrid when it comes to language, but most apps will be norwegian, but on top of english os.
I hope I can release the rom tonight (norwegian time)
Im at work now, so i cant provide screens yet, but that will come with the rom, maybe before.

Nice, I guess this would be quite interessting for many norwegians although there isnt really THAT much different from having an english ROM.

nope, if you store your maps and all on sd-card, then you will not have to activate again, tomtom will recognise the maps and key.

Good, looking foreward to this. Myself I gave up trying to cook a Norwegian ROM using the Polaris Kitchen. If it will be a mix of languages as you state, I wonder if it would not be better to go for a clean english OS, and just add norwegian keyboard and XT9.
I for one, hate mixed language OS's. A mix of Program Files and Programfiler etc. Just makes a mess.

maybe so, but im currently testing a beta, and so far its not so bad
but the polaris kitchens is diffrent from the ones I have used, so im adjusting my old kitchen to fit for polaris.

Allright, good news here
There is released a norwegian wm6.1 for kaiser, so im downloading it from e.club now.
I will start working on porting the rom tonight or tomorrow, and im sure within a few days I will have the first beta up and running.

As you know, there are more custom galaxy 3 roms. Every rom is good. There are: Dark lestats rom, gsams rom, the blue rom, motafocas rom, gigerbread edition, nsdroids rom......
Can you guys make 1 absolutly perfect rom together?

What I would like to see is something based on ext2 conversions, eg. motafoca's, use the modified kernel (which is said to be the best?) and then think about all the themes, etc. That'd be the perfect rom for me

if they do decide to make a collaboration rom, and cant decide on some stuff (like which theme to use) i think they should make a poll for it. However if they can decide between themselves then their decision>public opinion

So yes And yea about the Mp3 Fix.. it really annoyed me.. i guess alot of ppls dont even heard of it.. so putting it into the rom will make ppls happy with another thing except the rom

Im thinking about add update checker to roottools and clock color changer. Suggest me 10 colors in hex to do the services. I will have an update this weekend i guess. And post that as 1st version here.

PS: The Theme thing called "DisableMotoBlurLock" or something.. does unfortunately NOT work

That thing just removes the android BG in lockscreen. Good idea about make a GB lockscreen option.

I'd definately like to have a ASOP Like way of all this .... to get rid of motoblur as much we can. .since motoblur is just annoying as hell.. and the Lock of it is like the most crappy i have seen..
Also a ASOPLike Theme would be great (Or is it the MM2 Stock theme in the theme list??.. i didnt test yet.. i thought MM2Stock theme is motoblur ****)

Dialer and contacts are blur themed apps. MM2 is the stock blur theme. Today i will upload a new theme, looks more stock. And NO blur lockscreen.

I got the script done. Check/download/install. All in one and automatic. Just need an update to use it on.

Very nice .. I think after your next Update I will flash my MM2 with your Rom ..

I already use it.. and will keep it on my Droid ^^.. awsome work you did there!.. finally we get custom!!!.. ill start theming..and pick the best themes i can find.. and try to make my DarkEdge port work with App themes aswell

Siri-Alternative in beta

Hi there,
I heard of Iris but for me it's.. well.. not that great. So I've created my own app called Risi. You can try it for free on the Android Market.
It would be great for me if you could test it a bit and give a little review of what Risi does well and things that are still missing. I'm going to include that new features then to make it an real Siri-Alternative for those without an iPhone.

i don't know for some reasons its not speaking ... but replying fine!

I think it's a great idea and works but the engine it's a bit hit and miss. Even if the voice to text is recognised the suggestion sometimes is a bit random. Why not use Wolfram engine? No guesses why Wolfram apk hasn't been updated in market for a while.

The problem is that the chatbot is before that technology so he have to decide witch informations have to be fetched. But thats what I'm going to fix today. Please stay tuned

So, what do you think of the new firmware overall?? Anything interesting besides the points mentioned in the post. Also, can you please post a screenshot of the new keyboard? I hope they did not remove the static numeric keyboard from the top. I found that very convenient.

You change the keyboard layout. I love the floating keyboard. Use few finger to move the keyboard around the screen. Later I try to post a screen shot. Static numeric still on top.

I'm not sure if your language is included, just take a look at the pics.
You can select Systemlanguage or two or more other languages, then Swipe between...

there is no arabic on this variant for Germany P5100XXBLH4
but you can use the variant for Egypt - P5100XWBLF3 and then flash the OTA P5100XXBLH5
