so, many games are supposedly incompatible with our device, to a lot of frustration of people (including me)
well the thing is, actually they are compatible, but dev's haven't updated the apps to include our newish tablet (even XDA HD premium lists as incompatible)
the trick here is to make the market think we own a galaxy tab 10.1, you can do this by editing the /system/build.prop file (make a backup of the file first)
navigate to /system with root explorer (or similar) and make the build.prop file match the following

EDIT : some apps may still say incompatible on the tablet play store; but if you go to the play store from a browser you can install them (make sure you select GT-P7500 as the device to send them to)

No, because nova does not work with icecream sandwich, it worked for me for asphalt 6, dungeon hunter 3 and the xda premium hd app.
Unfortunatly older gameloft games like nova, dungeon hunter 1 &2 it does not work unless gameloft updates them for ics
Oh yea, and settlers hd works if you use chainfire 3d with powervr plugin

Yes it works. I played up to were you can start moving around and it looks amazing. Order and Chaos works. And I assume MC3 works too since it is one of the only gameloft games that shows up in the market for our tf300's but it force stops on me I figured its cause I titanium backuped the file from my phone. or that you would have to revert back to the old build.prop.

Since some games like Nova and Modern combat: Sandstorm don't work on our phones, even with the update, if we show enough interest, then they might update them to run on our phones.

Sandstorm works. It just that its almost unplayable because of the lack of MT (Can't walk and aim at the same time)

Yeah, it works for me too.
Allready worked on Android 1.6, now even better.
I think they'll work very crappy because we don't have multitouch and it's a must for good gameplay in some of their games.
The better opetion would be to have them allow mapping of hardware buttons to try and use outside MT!
Dungeon hunter only kind of works. You cannot switch the controls to the control stick which is infinitely better than point and tap

I had the same thing on 1.6 - they even gave me another game as recompensation

Yo mate,i visited ur link but umm,i couldnt start Gangstar on the X10 mate ,nor Avatar...i mean they do start but the graphics are black objects and screwed textures (Its not my phone : All other games work like a charm).
(I also saw that i had the files on the SD from my old Gangstar so i didnt need to redownload,could those be the fault?)

So, installed FPse and downloaded crash team racing .bin file but it does not run! it open and freezes but sound still goes on.
at the same time, this is FPse on gs2 topic. post your FPse experiences with gs2 here. driver 2 is coming at 40kb/s, hope it'll run better

I play Final Fantasy 9.
Runs really well except that there is no sound in the cut scenes.
Gran Turismo 2 runs at 60 fps. Haven't tried anything else yet.

I've tried FF9 as well but all saves I make (in game, not save states) are corrupt.
I'm new to FPse, any idea what I could be doing wrong? Other than that it's working great.
Only suggestion I have for the OP is to try a different bios...maybe thats a fix for me too, but I've already tried two.

I've been playing crash bandicoot 2 and it runs pretty smooth with good sound. I dont get on with the touch screen pad though id prefer it if it gave some feed back or something idk I just prefer the n64oid pad.

everything I have tried runs perfect at 60fps (ocasional slowdown to ~40 on loading etc
Make sure you have a bios selected. Also there seems to be a bug where you need to select the bios twice (you will know when it has worked as it will say please restart - at this point go to close/resart)
And remember you need to select the bios for each game

It looks like I didn't load the bios twice as someone mentioned. Just did that and now my saves work.

fpse is very finicky, however that being said it also runs very well. It doesn't like to save settings, and will usually force close if you try to save them ( at least for me), but once i get in game (i play ffvii alot) it plays wonderful.
also Gran Turismo 2 runs perfect 60fps still didn't figure out why CTR does not work for me since it works usually everywhere.
If anyone wants to try CTR on their own devices and report me if they work or not i would be grateful.

When is the n64 emulator gonna be back in the market?
I tried ripping my CTR disc but that wasn't working for me but I found a ROM that did work. For some reason the audio tracks are different in this rom which kind of sucks, anyone got a original CTR rom working?
psx4droid runs it but its slow..
I pay tekken 3 on mine, works absolutely great, even managed to find savegames with unlocks which work as memory cards.. on a sidenote PSX4Droid wouldn't play the game at all
Tried few PSX games (NFS HP, Pepsi-Man, Bloody Roar, MDK) and all are looking so pixelated (as it is using software rendering and not OpenGL). Same to you guys?
Tried with Screen filtering, it smooth the lines a bit.. but still pixelated + it slowdowns a lot the emulation.
Tried with HLE off, no effect..

I'd switch to FPSE. There are not going to be any more updates for PSX4Droid. The devloper went back to develop for the iDevice since the Market banned his account.
Additionally, you'll find the compatibility to be MUCH better on FPSE.

+1 for FPSE, best 5 bucks I've spent in a while! & Crash Bandicoot runs flawless on FPSE, while it was SLOOOOOOW on psxdroid!

I haven't had problems running psx4droid 3.0.0.6. Been playing ffix, silent hill, ace combat 3 and resident evil 1-2 (haven't tested 3) but really all in all its better than fpse, imho. Much smoother seems to utilize more of our phones.

Oh and I don't know about on Evo, but crash runs decent enough for what I played. Only played half of the first level but the actual gameplay was smooth. I am overclocked @ 1.3 btw.

Okay fpse runs front mission 3 flawlessly except the app does not recognize all the keys used with game gripper. I'm glad that front mission does not use all the button so I can move stuff around.
I won't turn this into a fpse thread but I will list games not working on psx4droid that work on fpse. You all may discuss both emulators anyhow. Thanks again.

i cant get ether of thees to work. ff7 crashes at first battle and diablo crashes right after diablos head at loading screen. what format was image and is ther settings that need changes? please help
Tekken 2 works on both.
I prefer PSX4Droid to FPSE. Never hada problem with it, except for DBZ Legends could load/start the game.

I do too cuz for some reason I could never get gamesaves I've downloaded from online to work on FPSE, but PSX4Droid became obsolete on the GB builds.

I just tried setting this up and when I click on the bin file of Twisted Metal it doesn't start. Icon goes in notification bar to say psx4droid is running but no game. Is there something else I need to do? I downloaded the file from the site the author suggested in the Playstation section. Thanks.
I'm curious on what gameloft games are available on their website with different devices on the build prop. Use a root file manager and go to system/build.prop and see what device it shows you have. Here's mine.

I'd be curious about availability vs. actually working and the gameloft site vs. Play Store. I've never been able to make Asphalt 6 work on any ICS rom, but I know at least Gedemis has with his ROM. Makes me wonder if there might be differences between play store and gameloft website versions of the same game.

I would like to tell you 2 things
1) Galaxy y does not support all big games (except that run with CF3D).
2) "Good Games" can be relative term, some thinks Shooting is good, some thinks racing is good.
But these games work with SGY and work fine without root.

Some other games like NFS Hot Pursuit, Brothers in Arms 2, N.O.V.A. 1 etc work with CF3D.
GTA III works with modded libs.

There is a wonderful thing called the playstore that will contain all the games that will run on this phone
I suggest you look through it and find games that you like
What you like others may not and vice versa
For anything that isnt in the playstore google is your friend
