Sony xperia arc [rom] 4.0.2.a.0.42-gg 0% battery issue fix! Tested working

listen guys i had the battery issue for 2 days now and trust me i was going effin nuts so i came across this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1465702 but i noticed this for for LOCKED bootloaders
so what i done was relock my bootloader and start the operation and weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee it worked.. here are my steps i hope it works for everyone
req's
Xerpia arc
unlocked/locked bootloader
LINUX
Flashtool

step 1. download http://www.mediafire.com/?invk53r4d4o3bkn Xperia_Relock_bootloader.ftf
step 2. download http://www.mediafire.com/?8d361p6ykrfq27f LT15i_4.0.2.A.0.42_lockedBL_battery.7z
step 3. extract all files so u have the ftf's place them in your flashtools firmware folder
step 4. go ahead and flash with ftf from step 1
once thats finished enter flash mode again this time flash it with Arc_step1_step1.ftf
once finished let the device boot.. u will reach the green sony logo part..
now in linux type "sudo /step2" this will root your device and patch the battery..
step 5. after step 2. if you device doesnt reboot (like mine) remove battery wait 5 sec's put it back in then enter flashmode and flash with Arc_step3_step3.ftf
thats all to it. your device should boot up and tell u that it has %85
from there download FuelGaugeFixV16.apk from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1312398 post #1 at the bottom..

I did it on windows.Solved the 0% issue.After locking bootlander and flashing step 1 do not try the step 2 root.Instead do the step 3 flashing.Then boot phone turn on DEBUGGING and tick UNKNOWN SOURCES.Then install the step2-DooMLoRD_v4_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su-batterydriver (1).zip and leave the cmd window on as u switch on the phone and press any key with cmd window on .Rooting takes place as the phone turns on.If u root after the phone has turned on fully, the phone dies in the middle of the root.After that install FuelGaugeFixV16.apk and u will start seeing the actual battery % too.U R DONE.ENSOI-----FROM MAK.Please reply and tell me if it has worked

No luck for me. After completing flash of step 1 and 3, I cannot get zerg rush to catch. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I open command window then begin and the process starts running. After I see "waiting for device" I turn on the phone, then the program runs and the phone ends up on the battery charging screen. If I turn phone back on while plugged in it starts and then I get first error "mount: permission denied (are you root?)". After further error phone restarts. Result..no root. . Any assistance you can provide is helpful. Thanks in advance.

ive only tested this on linux anyways u said you flashed 1 and 3? what happened to step2? flash step1 then exec step2 then flash step3 ?

I had the same problem as you where the zerg rush didnt work but what i did was before opening the runme.bat I opened up the files folder and opened the adb file. Then I opened the runme.bat

Bottom line: Tried new method of opening folders = result was no change.
Currently have :1 stock SO-01c Docomo 2.3.4 Build 4.0.1.C.1.24 / locked bootloader
:1 rooted SO-01c Docomo 2.3.2 Build 3.0.D.2.79 / locked bootloader **(0% battery error)**
I would like to have both rooted with custom roms and if possible sim unlocked.
I have looked at the many forums and realized that I am only getting more confused.
It was so much easier with the G1 and MyTouch.
Any help with next step would be greatly appreciated.
I am willing to pay or donate reasonably to achieve my goals.

First of all you need is to downgrade your ROM, as you have LA1 ROM installed which is not rootable

You have guide how to use pc odin.
Cwm is mobile application use to flash rom, as well use to backup/restore phone,
Rom is just os of mobile
Flash is procedure to install rom or part of rom

My phone when blank, and i force reboot, and now it have suspicious apps in my phone. But when backlight off and click the unlock button, my screen got blank, but got dot spot.. and i cant do anything, so i have to reboot, now how? my phone

Success the odin thing, but my phone when locked, and try to unlock its look like this, the screen got a dot spot, and it became brighter and brighter..
Im dead.

It didn't work the way I wanted it to antil I've found a thread in FXP (a Israeli forum) which guided the installation of GingerDX v24 and dual touch.
I followed the instructions. I installed xRecovery and after that the DualTouch file.
AKA: htt p:// www .mediaf ire.com /?w5su i27ktb 6icj9
Installed the dualtouch, got back to the xRecovery main menu and pressed reboot.
Now my phone is stuck on the Sony Ericsson logo and I have no idea what to do.
So... I need help ASAP!!

Flash your kernel again and do a full wipe and flash your ROM....
GingerDX already got dual touch but if it is not working on you...then your digitizer is cypress and u can have real dual touch... search the forum and there are topics about bringing DT to GDX

Hello,
erm,I think u should unlock the bootloader? before installing any costum Rom. and any kernel (ROM require costume kernel). ROM GingerDX v23b use stock kernel? i suggest u read carefully the thread, maybe u missed something. try reflash kernel (if u already unlock bootloader) or repair with SEUS and start over again. it happend to me when i flash costum rom that need costum kernel. or maybe u need to flash it with CWM, not xRecovery?
Do enlighten me if im wrong.

you dont need to change the kernel to install Ginger DX.
Is the recovery coming on when you press the back key at the logo?
If so, you can reflash the ROM.
if not, use the flashtool to burn a new firmware or you might even be able to connect the phone to SEUS and flash the stock firmware onto the phone.
i dont think you phone is bricked. it might be a software error.
cool down and read the "what you should do if you brick the phone" thread.

Try this THREAD first.
If it doesn't work, you'll have to restore your X8 to it's original state. Follow these instructions STEP BY STEP:
- On your PC, uninstall Sony PC Companion
- Restart your PC
- Reinstall Sony PC Companion by downloading it from here
- Turn off the phone, and unplug it from the PC
- Turn on Sony PC Companion on your PC
- In PC Companion, enter the Support Zone tab
- Go to Update Phone Software
A window will pop out, saying that it cannot find your phone
- Click on Fix Phone
- Click on Continue
A window will pop out, saying that you will lose all your data
- TICK the BOX
- Click on continue
An update process will began.
Wait for it to show a window with all the SONY mobile phones
- Find your phone (X8)
- Click on the phone.
Now all you have to do is follow the on-screen instructions. It will tell you to hold the back button and plug your turned-off X8 to the PC, then it will erase everything, and download the original 2.1 ROM to your X8.

You can try using flashtool. First reflash your kernel. Then try to flash the rom again using flashtool.

[Guide]«FLASHTOOL»4 noobs

First of all...I just decided to make this guide for people that seem to run into the same issues as I did but I feel like its more of a pain to keep adding threads & waiting for a response...or searching thru different posts to get a different outcome you were looking for. So here is where I start.
Flashtool 4 noobs:
1. When you first install flashtool before you run the program go into the driver folder run install drivers... (Make sure that your antivirus isn't running & your phone is connected to usb.)
***only connect phone to usb while installing drivers then remove phone***
2. Flashing ftf files- Because there are so many ftf files out there make sure if you get one its the correct ftf zip otherwise you will get a SIN HEAD ERROR...
*{This error}*
"ERROR - ERR_SEVERITY="MAJOR";ERR_CLASS="SECURITY_CLASS";ERR_STATIC="SIN_HEAD_VER";ERR_DYNAMIC="Failed to verify sin header";\00"
(if you get this error while flashing ftf its because the ftf file isn't made for your model).
To flash ftf put the file in the firmware folder of flashtool before running it. Start flashtool...hit lightning button... Select flash mode... Choose the correct drivers(also select flash drivers from bottom of box) then choose the ftf file you want to flash...it will prompt you to connect it in flash mode(green led) hold the back button while phone is off...then connect to usb... It will begin flashing the ftf file..done
***ONLY FOR UNLOCKED BOOTLOADERS***
3. Flashing kernels- In order to flash the kernel of your choice put the kernel.img in x10flasher folder. (make sure drivers are installed if you haven't installed them already). Then start flashtool... Hit lightning button... Choose fastboot mode... Select correct drivers & fastboot driver at the bottom of box. Menu should pop up. Select kernel to flash... Connect phone to usb in fastboot(blue led) turn off phone...hold search button & connect to usb...it will start flashing...done
***once you've flashed the kernel of your choice remove it from usb... Reboot phone... At boot logo hit the corresponding button to go into recovery... Back or Vol down depending on the kernel... If you don't hit it continuously it will go to black screen because it doesn't have anything to boot***

What you want to do is flash a custom kernel in fastboot... Since you're x is an a get a gsm rom.

I can flash any kernel, that is not the problem, the error comes when i want a flash a tft firmware, i tried almost all version of 2.3.4 with the variants of r800a,at,i, without succes, always the same header verification error. But thank you anyway.

Hey there I've flashed a few rooms via cwm but never used flashtool but I decided I wanted to as I wanted the. 58 enhanced firmware but when I try and install the drivers for my phone it says it has installed them but its not in the drivers folder and when I try flash the ft it says drivers not installed
And I made sure I installed the correct ones :/

Did you check in device manager to see if they need to be updated?... & also did you make sure to check flash & fastboot drivers at the bottom of the drivers selection menu...

yeh managed to get it working forgot to update drivers thanks for this guide mate
finally have .58 enhanced firmware just flashed NXT light edition again all smooth and good to go
next stop bootloader........

How to Flash Stock Firmware On your Blu Vivo Air
Hi Guys Today I'm gonna show you how to unbrick or flash stock rom
the drivers are same for all and procedure as well

on your (fly tornado Kazam/Fly IQ4516 Tornado Slim/Gionee Elif S5.1 & Qmobile Noir Z7) & Blu Vivo Air
THESE 4 DEVICES are same and can be flashed with this official Firmware.
1)Download usb drivers for your device : http://www11.zippyshare.com/v/49JiXYy2/file.html
2)Download Sp Flashtool : http://www.needrom.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1408.00.rar

4)Install Drivers.
5)Open Sp Flashtool as Administrator.
6)In upper Left Hand corner select options then option click on download and select check on "DA DL Allwith Checksum"
7)Select Scatter file from firmware folder and hit download (be carefull dont connect your device before clicking download)
8)Now turn off your device and volume down and connect your device throw usb cable Flashing should start.
9)After successfully Flashing disconnect your device and boot with power key that all.

thanks to share that INFO! ... i have this doubt at almost one month because russians already do that and inside stock rom the system apps have GIONEE.***.*** on description name...
because you say and show that we now can force the moderators to fuse the BLU Vivo Air and KAZAM Tornado 348 on same MENU.. an include the other names of that same phone and have a lot more developers talking and developing to this phone... :highfive:

Thanks for the wonderful info fellas! Do I need to unroot before flashing with this method? Or if I do factory reset? Does root work for the firmware in the op?

i don't use the method yet but what i can tell is Unroot your phone by precaution... than use SP flash tool (before the tool flash the new SW/ROM he format everything i think... to not happens the incompatibility with old ROM binaries running on new ROM)

yes you can flash your devise without unrooting but when you flashing any of these firmwares select (Download Only) don't select
(Formate + Download) because if you select download only then it should be fine it will only flash firmware and restore your devise to fectory settings or if you select formate + download then it will also clear your imei number. i already did the second one cleared imei but how ever i menage to repair my imei i will make a video soon on how to repair your imei because it is little hard to repair on these devises and btw you can flash miui rom on any of these devises

Yehp... i already read something about that on 4PDA... about Lost IMEI... and NVRAM Problem too... now what you can tell me about that NVRAM Problem.. what is that? on My "Developer Adventures" on Sony/Qualcomm SoC phones i don't remember about something like that... i really lost about some Developer Configurations on this phone like what we can modify on Kernel Source and what we don't can modify... some binaries can't be touch and compatibility with some ROM sources like AOSPA and similar OS to compile from scratch... CyanogenMOD 11/12/12.1 we need some custom drivers to can work with like Bluetooth, Wifi, GPU... and some modded Default configurations/Binaries from someone already make it work on other phone with Same SoC to we can have it working on our phone...
if you need help to create any Guide or Tutorial please contact me ;D i'm noob about MediaTek SoC Developing but i already have some experience with sony/qualcomm phones(Kernel and ROM from source developing)... i'm in contact with Spanish TeamForce to get some modded defaults from their Custom Kernel like undervolting table... :highfive:

The apps will disappear. You won't be able to OTA.

do you have some links for that MIUI ?

Guys... if someone want to share the way you flash the Custom Recovery to me have an idea to create a tutorial explain that and more than one way to do it ;D
