Privacy Protection for your Incredible - Droid Incredible General

Pdroid is the best protection out there for masking Android ID, GPS Loc, and many others. Main app page below. Currently only supports gingerbread. Svyat is working on ICS support.

The links I give is the proper modifications for CM7 7.1.0 stable (most recent stable release of CM7) all you have to do is flash the update zip and the restore is for just in case you want to uninstall. After you flash the zip, install the app from the market and welcome to full privacy. Don't know about support for other roms.

Special Thanks go to Svyat for the app.
NOTE: If you want to patch a different rom image than the CM 7.1.0, DO NOT use the 1.32 patcher it will cause bootloop, use the one below! The original app's thread talks about this issue.
1.31 patcher

I'm curious as to how this would work. Did you create this yourself?

No, I provided a link to the creator's thread, just made the patch for CM7 to save everyone time.
Only part that doesn't work is Google maps can still get GPS loc. Other than that, other apps can't get it, or other info you block.
Edit: if you provide a link to your ROM, and it is deodexed, I will patch a zip for you.

[Q] new and weather widget

Hi All.
I have been flashing roms for some time, but a noobie for posting to the forums (need to increase my post count so I can properly use the most applicable forums for my rom).
Anyway, one widget I use often is the news and weather widget (4x1), but I find that it isn't in all the roms, including my current one .
I was thinking to copy the widget across from a stock rom, but am not sure what file/files are required.
Does anyone have any hints?
Thanks.
Which widget is it (picture)?

I have a feeling its this one they're referring to...
What ROM are you using by the way? I'd imagine any of the Sense ROMs would have it...I'm using the 9600gt Stock which has it
Sent from my HTC Desire
its geniewidget.apk or genie something. I know because
I delete it from my rom before flashing.
Hope this helps.

thank you bro
Thanks all
That is indeed the widget that I am after. It is in most roms, but my current favourite sense rom is iNsertCoinHD DATA++ v03, and this is where I am really missing it. I have now loaded redux just to play with it, but expect to go back to my favourite again.
I periodically switch between HD roms and AOSP based ones - aiming to find acceptable replacements for all the good HTC apps/widgets in preparation for next upgrade that may not be HTC device.
use a backup app (ex Titanium Backup) and use it to restore after flashing any rom

Hrck mods v1 (Color and stock roms only)

I spent my earlier part of this evening making this with a tool. It's an aroma installer package and for those who don't know what that is it's a mod which gives u an extra GUI in recovery and allows you to pick what mods you want to install. It's limited right now and read all here before messing up your device and coming back to report an error you made.
Disclaimer:I'm not responsible if your phone explodes, shocks you or melts or whatever.Do this at your own risk if there really are any.
The first version of this mod has 3 sections.
-You'll find root apps.Framaroot, root tools and xposed installer.Choose if you want them.
-You'll find nodo camera mod(don't use if you aren't on stock),and the xperia gallery app and more in the app section.Don't install oppogallery2 if your not on the stock rom except you want to try and you know how to revert.
-The clock widget section is a choose one only option to choose between the Oppo green, red, yellow clock widget respectively.Don't choose the 3 or you'll end up with the yellow.I included the order in the title so you don't have to remember.(due to renaming issues I had with the aroma compiler you need to go into /sytem/app and rename any oppodigitalclockwidgetG or r to "OppoDigitalClockWidget.apk")
This is the beginning and I'll add more and keep the package apps updated.
Hit thanks to say thanks and happy flashing. This are all compiled by me so if you share give me credit.Included apps[4.3camera,framaroot,Oppoclock widgets(R,G,Y),nodo-gt camera mod,recoverytools,G.E.sunbeam live wallpaper, xperia walkman, xperia gallery, xperia z ultra launcher, xposed framework]

Crdroid key board port for nogout and oreo

Hello, this is a port of the crdroid key board for those using a rom that is not crdroid. I ported this for those who would rather have the numbers at the top of the key board.
Change Log: December 2nd:
No longer longer need to delete anything to install keyboard. Just download and flash with TWRP. This is the latest version of the keyboard. This is also universal now as you can use on other devices other than HTC M8. No longer need the instructions wrote below but will leave there for reference just in case someone runs into problems. The zip now is labeled m8universal. Enjoy the keyboard. This will be final unless I find something is not working right. Pie is beta will be coming sometime in the future.

Directions: Go to System/App/ LatinIme and open the folder then delete everything in it. Then
reboot into TWRP recovery and flash the zip you downloaded. Now you have the keyboard in the pic.
Download link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ok357unryey2zwk/AACF9PbFfdu2G7wrufxiyLwza/crdroidkeyboardno-oreo.zip?dl=0
Side note if you don't delete the contents in the LantinIme folder first you might not have a working keyboard after flashing the zip. In my tests when I deleted the contents in the LatinIme folder first before flashing I had a result of 100 percent working. So follow the directions and everything will work. Its works on some nogout roms and works on all oreo roms when tested. Flash and enjoy your new keyboard.
