like i said in my other post, i've been running consumer and it has no time limit. if they had a limit, im sure they would of posted it. last time i saw a time limit was on old server beta's.

there has always been time limits
http://social.technet.microsoft.com.../thread/910238eb-89dc-4d9b-87b0-e19f2aefe90a/
usually about a year
Win 8 will be no different
and what is the point in using the DP or CP still?
the whole point of the beta program is for MS to get feedback on is new OS so it can improve upon it, its not so you can have a free joy ride of its new OS, an OS that can dramatically change between the various releases.
Honestly, I really think MS should vet the people that download the betas, if they don't contribute then it explodes

I will stick with my Developers Preview.. I dont think the developers preview will expire..

The developer preview expires on the 15th of the January 2013 unfortunately. Better off going for the release preview as they both expire at the same time.

Developers Preview WILL expire, besides, your missing out on a bunch of new features and innovations that DP does not have!

Yes it was posted, a million times already... sigh. There are already multiple very boring and repeating threads about it that you could have found easily by looking at the first 2 forum pages...
As pointed out above this has been posted before, and even I could make a better fake than that! The fonts wrong and it says Foto's instead of Pictures

Only when it runs the 1 GHz hack, because phone 7 requires that.
But it is nice to know that windows 7 phone scales on a totaly different way on a HD2 WVGA screen. Look, this is how it scales on the concept device:
(this image is real-size: put your HD2 beside it to get an idea)
But yes, I like the HD2 version more
Fake !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's no such thing as "real size" on a computer screen, unless yours and the viewer's one have the same size and resolution
so easy to fake

i did one of it runnin android too..
all good fun but not the real deal..

Couldn't decide between Inception or Affliction/Afflicted however, since Affliction is the name of a very over priced clothing line, I went with Inception.
Hopefully you'll like the rom as well (assuming you give it a flash) it's my first, and it's still in beta, but so far I'm getting fairly good results.

Yes, Affliction is just an awful clothing line and Inception is a great movie. Inception > Affliction.

LiteCoin is a a crypto-currency, like BitCoin. Unlike like BitCoin's GPU hungry system, LiteCoin is CPU friendly making it easier to mine. What is mining? http://foreverrising.wordpress.com/2011/06/15/what-is-bitcoin-and-what-is-bitcoin-mining/
Nice I like it ................
Excellent, I'm going to give this a shot!
I'm going to lower the minimum sdk version to Android 2.1 to be able to reach more devices.

Ubuntu for phones announcement

Today, Cannonical has announcement a version Ubuntu for phones. They can found more info here: http://www.ubuntu.com/devices/phone
The requesites are very similar to HD2. Will be posible portable to it?
hope so...
Sorry for my bad English. I just reading that link. Some of my friend say that the Ubuntu OS is base on Android Kernel so we totally can port it to our HD2 but the rom running on Galaxy Nexus just a demo rom that mean the need a lot of time to config. Ubuntu OS is currently in the development stage and finishing, according to the source before we have to wait until 2014. I think that time is too long for our HD2.
^
well you never can say, there are a lot of Dev's here that are even miles ahead of those manufacturers/ phone companies, all we have to do is wait & see.
I also noticed just yesterday in one 2nd hand site here in HK all the HD'2 where sold & at least 10 more people where looking for one.

I'm a NAND user on a LEO1024. Since Ubuntu phone will support android kernels and the drivers it will be quite simple to get the required files from tytung's repo and merge it into the OS.
As soon as it's released or leaked there will be a race for "FIRST"

I assure you there will not be and if you want it, you will have probably to do it yourself. It's not android, nobody wants that... yet.
Challenge accepted!

To be the first would be awesome. I'm ready for it
i am waiting for that
please release it fo hd2
A very interesting project! My HD2 is looking forward!
I think it will be fun.
would be good as an excercise, i suppose. as long as the support is there.
why would it be better than android?
in my experience with ubuntu on my laptop, anything i try to do always seems end up typing long lines of code in a terminal window
as someone once said "linux is free if your time is worthless"
been developing with the new SDK & its a freakin beast ! .....i eat ...sleep ...poop ..Ubuntu ...its so much fun
Ubuntu Phone OS is going to rule ....its just so awesome !

Nextbit Baton offers several benefits to users, including:
Sync: Keeps apps and data in sync across multiple devices, allowing users to move fluidly from one device to the next without missing a beat.
Pass: Send any open app in its current state to another device, saving time and eliminating the tedious process of manually finding and opening apps on different devices.
Backup and restore: Save apps and data to your Nextbit profile in the cloud, so you can always get your apps back on any device.
Nextbit’s private beta is exclusively on CyanogenMod, the leading open-source, community-driven Android OS backed by Cyanogen Inc. The future public release of Nextbit will be available first on the commercially distributed Cyanogen operating system.
“Cyanogen continues to reimagine Android by introducing bold new firsts,” said Kirt McMaster, CEO of Cyanogen. “Nextbit represents one of these platform firsts that could only manifest on a truly open Android. We enable Baton to become a native OS level feature, creating huge benefit for our users.”
