Do I have the ICS bootloader installed? - Acer Iconia A500

I just want to make sure everything worked. I followed the thread by Civato as best I could, I have a new bootloader and recovery installed and running ICS.
I downloaded an app called: Acer Recovery Installer, it tells me I have the following installed:
0.03.14-MUL
Rom is stock ICS:
Acer_AV01_A500_1.041.00_WW_CUS1 --(build #)
Acer_AV01_A500_RV06RC01_WW_CUS1 --(image ver.)

Welcome to DEV. You may not realize it , but this board is for dev work only. Honestly, have you even read the rules? Maybe you have issues categorizing things..
Any who, if it says iconia tab a500 as a boot logo, then you have it.

Calm down guys it was the OP's mistake let's not bully them :L
OP: yes it is the wrong section
Everyone else: calm down
Mod: please move topic.

[Q] Root asus transformer

hey guys brandon back again not here though cause xda would not let me post in dev. until i posted 10 generals not a fan of that rule however..... i am currently running stock 3.1 with build hmj37_us_epad-8.4.4.5-20110527 and my kernal is 2.6.36.3-00001-gf377a2b i am not sure if all of the number are important but i want to make sure i do and ask this correctly i am trying to root with cwm with custom rom i have been seeing that i have to downgrade to 3.0.1 to get root is there anyway around that possible one click root or whatever and another thing is this prosedure reversiable, sorry for so many questions i really want to do this right cause this is one of these situation where i can't just turn my bricked device back to asus like i did with sprint many times just to get a newer phone. any links and advise would be helpful thanks guys
The reason xda doesn't let you post here before you get 10 post is to avoid some irrelevant post like this one in this section. It has nothing to do with android developmen, it should be in general. And for your question read and search a little there are many threads about it. For exemple the thread about WIP of one click root in this section, so there is none yet.

Wrong. There is a one-click root. Use NVFlash.
Not really one-click because you have to set up the drivers, but after you do that. You're pretty much golden. Just set TF101 in APX mode and then double click download.bat
ok what about a general adb root running 3.1 i can't seems to find anything specific to that current version they seem to be general rooting methods

because it is general, NVFlash works regardless of android version. this is why they don't let you post here until 10 posts
can you send me the link please and adb i have never really used that before is there a link for that, drivers is that on asus.com is there a specific driver i should be looking for like name specific thanks what about cmw?
Google android adb.
Searching is fundamental.

It's all in the dev sections what you need to get root. search NVflash

Will Hardcore release T14 kernel for JVT?

It seems t13 kernel works well on JVT.
Does anybody konw whether Hardcore will release the new kernel for JVT?
Due to my level is not enough and I try to send a private message to hardcoe, Following is his reply. F.U.R
Hi, thanks.
The K13 should work find with JVT as there is probably no change in the kernel between JVS and JVT. So, you don't need to wait for a T14 with JVT modules to use it with JVT.
In the future if I release another update, I might also update the modules from JVT. But I don't think there will be much (or any) difference.

Maybe, as u know, samsung has released the latest ROM JVT, and we're waitting for you update for this version.
Do u have plan to update the kernel for this?
Currently, we have to use t13 and it seems there is no problem for JVT.
Thanks for your hard work!

WTF? A whole new thread to ask something about another thread?
You shouldn't need permissions for anything but to post links. Try again, just click "Quote" on someone else's post in that thread.

If you have less than 10 posts you are not allowed to write in dev forums. So you can either start reasonable threads for example here or write 10 bulls**t posts to get permission.

Wasn't aware of that rule, I started on XDA posting on the general section so I guess I never experienced that problem when I started digging into dev threads.
Sorry, am i reading this right???? You HAVE a reply directly from hardcore regarding this question, and THEN you go and start a thread asking the same question?
Why?
Why? The answer is very simple: to make 10.000 useless posts....

Try it and let us know.
The Android Development section is a sacred place where developers and some testers brainstorm on how to further the Android Experience in a substantial way.
The Q/A or General section is where you can ask about using a specific kernel for your device. But first make sure to search to make sure the question hasn't been asked already.

Mods please move
OP, u created ridiculous questions; how to install windows xp in android?, can we flash galaxy nexus kernel in kindle fire?; etc... this world is not easy as u think
why dont you cut the guy a break he is obviously new to all this and there is no point in bashing him.
OP as for your question kernels are device specific and need to be built for that device. So no you can't flash a nexus kernel to a kindle. If you do some searching you should be able to find a good kernel built for what you need. good luck and happy flashing

Well, it's better to post in the Q&A with questions.
However, most have probably already been answered, so it's better to use the "search" feature first before creating a new thread.
Most issues, when it comes to changing bootloaders, you should be able to find the answer in either the Bootloader Guide thread, or the Bootloader Thread itself.
If you can't find the answer, then post in the Guide Thread, or the Bootloader Thread. If nobody can answer it, or doesn't answer, then you can create a new thread in Q&A.
Folks around her are generally helpful. I ran most of the Trolls away a few months ago
My best advise. Get your UID number before you even start. Write it down somewhere. We have a guide on how to do that.
Always read the guides. These were written by people who have been at the new unlocked bootloader and 3.2 and ICS from the very beginning. We did the original testing for most of this stuff a long time ago.

One more advice.
When you post questions, and people help you (whether right , or it just didn't work), it's a custom to select the "Thanks" button near their post (reply). It's a nice thing to do. You will find the "Thanks" button located under the user's Avatar.
You are allowed to use the Thanks button 5 times each day I believe.
Welcome to the A500/501 forums!
MD
my A501 arrives today, my goal is to end up with Thor's JB ROM on it. I have a "little" experience from running custom roms on my Motorola Defy, but that bootloader thread is really doing my head in.
I've found this which as a newbie totally makes sense to me and is a great guide for starters.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1205204
Hopefully I can figure out the Bootloader part ok, or could someone recommend a particular bootloader with the end goal of using JB in mind perhaps?

Important

Nowadays people don't really read instructions carefully and accidentally cause problems on their device such as bootloop and brick. Please, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY, don't skip any step! Also, read the requirements needed before you start installing mods, custom roms and kernel. Thank you.
I thanked you ONLY because what you stated is true...and your avatar is killer!
