Bluetooth keyboard and mouse don't work at the same time - Galaxy Tab 10.1 General

So I've got these nice accessories for my tablet, I have the Samsung keyboard dock, and an Apple keyboard and mouse. Since the keyboard dock eats battery I went out and purchased the desktop dock, came home and connected the dock, enabled bluetooth and connected my keyboard and mouse. Sweet, except now the keyboard is practically unusable.
About every 4th key I press gets registered as me holding down the button. That's nice. I meant to type Android, it turns into Andrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... Since this wasn't exactly the behavior I expected, I tried on a different ROM. Still has the same problem. I try getting the External Keyboard Helper Pro app. Seems to work for a while, but it's just wishful thinking. I disconnect my mouse. Boom, it works. I'm typing now on the very same keyboard, and it is working like a charm. I did some googling, but nothing like this came up, so does anyone know anything about this issue? Is there a fix? I really don't want to use the touch screen while I'm using a hardware keyboard, as it's unnatural and annoying, but for now it's the only way the keyboard is going to work for me at all.

Just got my bluetooth keyboard today and i am having the same problem... It seems as if the bluetooth isn't strong enough to have both connected and working flawlessly. If there is a fix for this it would be great if u would share it... thank you

Sorry can't help you solve your problems other than telling you that on the stock Samsung HC ROM 3.2 KL4 + Pershoot kernel OC @1.4GHz my Galaxy Tab 10.1 3G works flawlessly with a Logitech BT keyboard and a Logitech BT mouse.
Back when I was running KANG ICS I didn't try these Logitech keyboard and mouse but I used the Tab with a Trust BT keyboard which has an integrated touchpad and both the keyboard and touchpad worked.

well i gues i'll just go back to 3.2 and see what will happen then.
edit:
just installed stock honeycomb 3.2 rom ant pershoot kernel with 1.4 oc and i have to say that mouse and keyboard simultaniously are working quite pleasantly. even though when the tab is busy (lets say downloading or installing sth) sometimes letters do get stuck. but i have been using this hc rom for about two hours now and it has only hapened twice. so all in all the problem is mostly with the aokp rom for me. I suggest you go back to hc and see what hapens. for me it solved the problem.
btw this whole message was wirtten with bt mouse and keyboard connected. and it is as you see. i didn't edit anything. no stuck letters or anything.

[ICS] Browser's Quick Controls don't work in Landscape

So I've encountered this issue for a while but haven't asked about it. Has anyone figured why the Quick Controls (Settings>Labs>Quick Controls) don't work in Landscape mode? It works on newer phones that have official ICS builds, but not on CM9 or Slim ICS.
I don't have a Vibrant but I spent a while yesterday Google-ing the same exact issue on my Galaxy S II (AT&T) with AOKP.
After a few hours of playing with settings, ROMs, and kernels, I finally found the problem (on my phone at least, hopefully it may help with yours). On my phone, quick controls does NOT work in landscape when the phone is connected to a power source- but, as soon as you unplug it from its charger, quick controls works perfectly in landscape with no issues. I have no idea why this is or if it is a bug or it was designed to do this.
If you have been trying QC with the phone plugged in, unplug it and hopefully it'll work!
Good luck

[Q] Bluetooth keyboard: CapsLock indicator does not work

I got the case for Nexus 7, with the Bluetooth keyboard ( http://www.aliexpress.com/item/High...yboard-For-Google-Nexus-7-Free/847589141.html ). Reasonably good quality. That keyboard has CapsLock indicator. And for some reason it does not work with Nexus 7. The CapsLock key itself works ok, functionally - but the LED stays off. I thought it was a faulty item (you know, China...) But... the indicator works ok if I pair the keyboard with Samsung Galaxy S3 (Android 4.1.2). But not with Nexus 7 (Android 4.3). Anybody encountered anything like that? Any ideas regarding the reasons and workarounds? In both cases I tried Google Keyboard, if that matters.
Could not find anything relevant on Google or here.
Thanks
I have the exact same problem.
Hi,
My bluetooth keyboard has a functional CapsLock light, if I use it connected to my wife's Samsung S3, but with my Nexus7, genII (2013) running
Adroid 4.3 it doesn't work even though the characters are in caps. Hopefully this will be corrected in a future firmware update.

FireHD 10 (FireOS 5.6.0.0) Caps Lock issue with bluetooth keyboard

Hello,
I had my Fire HD 10 wired up with bluetooth keyboard (the ones that come with a tablet case). When I hit Caps Lock, I can type in uppercase just fine, however, when I hit Caps Lock again, the whole keyboard stops working (and tablet does not switch to virtual keyboard).
I had to reconnect by turning off and turning back on bluetooth in order to get keyboard work again. (Note: I tested holding shift key to switch between uppercase and lowercase. Works perfectly fine!)
In the beginning I suspected it was the hardware issue, so I wired up keyboard with my laptop. It works perfectly fine. So now I kinda rule out the hardware issue and suspect it's the FireOS.
Here are details about my hardware/software/settings:
Brand new Fire HD 10 (2017) and brand new keyboard+case I got from Amazon (U.S.)
I got it and updated it to 5.6.0.0 right away before wiring it up with keyboard
I did not mess with any system or keyboard settings (I live in the US so I assume the default setting is U.S. keyboard)
I did not root the device or tried to install third party Apps
After I encountered this issue, I reset my tablet back to factory settings (FireOS is still 5.6.0.0)
I could not find related issues online, I am wondering if anyone has the same issue and hopefully find a solution or workaround (like disable Caps Lock key input somehow)
(Just want to clarify: I am new to FIreOS so not sure if certain version of FireOS or Android supports Caps Locks key on keyboard)
Thanks!

I got message from the vendor: "After extensive testing, we have found that the issue is not present with the same keyboards on other generations of the Fire tablets. We were able to test on version 5.5 as well as 5.6 and found that both OS versions are affected. We have also found that other manufacturer's Bluetooth keyboards all have the same issue..."
Hopefully the next FireOS update will fix it.
I have the same problem. Very annoyed. Amazon hung up on me when I called about it. ****ty tablet.
I am facing the same issue with the CAP LOCK freezing up when it is pressed twice and this only affects Amazon Fire HD 10 5.6.0.0. Is there a fix for the problem? Please this problem affect all bluetooth keyboard paired with the new 2017 version, everyone need to get Amazon knows about it and fix it.
I have same problem.(FIREHD10 7th Gen. OS 5.6.0.1) I use Logitech K380 Keyboard. When I press Caps Lock key twice, all connections are lost including Bluetooth and WIFI. Soon WIFI reconnected but Bluetooth keyboard is not paried. So I shoud pair it again. I really want it fixed ASAP.

Sluggish performance on SM-T530NU 10.1", Stock 5.02, rooted, how can improve it?

I would just buy a new tablet but no one else makes a horizontal layout android tablet (charging port and nav/home buttons on landscape side), seems this tab 4 line up were the last ones.
Do I need to switch to custom rom? If yes, which one? I need wifi, bluetooth (media), and GPS working perfectly, that's all.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Controller Lag with everyday use (Shield 2015)

Hey guys,
I have a bit of a weird issue that I'm hoping someone can help me with.
Before I get into that, note, I was super unaware that there were 2 versions of the 2015 controller, this one i have has the O
one has the trapezoid home button and the other has a O for a home button. #WeirdFlexButOkay not sure the actual difference between the 2.
Now, I just got this shield not long ago, and day 1 with it I had it plugged in (not paired) and the day after that I paired it.
On both occasions, I would just be navigating around the UI, and there will be instances where I need to hit the back button, or the play button and it wouldnt register until I clicked it say 8 times.
I've unpaired and paired the controller, tested the controller on my computer and it works completely fine in Windows, Nox and Androidx86.
Is this a software based issue? (This is on the oreo update so im not sure how it functions in 7.1) if so is there a Rom I could flash to make things better?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
