Sony Ericsson LiveView Watch for $25 [with shipping]! - Member-Found Deals

If you don't know what this thing is, a short summary is basically:
The LiveView is a watch that gets information from your phone and displays them on its screen when you're either 1. Too lazy 2. Too busy
to pull our your phone.
I KNOW that this watch has its bluetooth problems and is very irritating at times
(I own one myself)
But I think $25 at least warrants a look in its direction.

ya never really bought from sites like these they always look kinda fake to me, but this seems like a cool little gadget

read a few reviews on them and none of them were good lol. all of them said it only lasted a few hours.

Yeah, it's not super practical, but it's a fun little device that at least gets some conversations started. (and a little nerd cred)

site is fine, I'd rather buy an old ipod nano with watch belt, then just sync it to phone with bluetooth, seems like this is what it does to me :S

I know reading texts are just superfluous, but can an ipod nano sync texts and emails?
Honest question, cause if it could, I'd seriously consider getting one

Idea to honour the N1, the King of phones.

I was just thinking, in two or three years when we've all moved on from our N1s, we could band together and stick them together into a giant android sculpture, or a transformer
#random
Crazy idea buddy but good idea to honor the n1, the best bravest and most innovative phone ever but the worst treated by the media, utterly assassinated.
Maybe a site which each person with an n1 IMEI rate their n1 online on a 1 to 5 scale - and get a virtual n1 to build a sculpture with, and a place to write comments on their virtual n1.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Or maybe make a chat app like chatroulette that uses the device numbers as registration so its n1 users only then create a meetup.

Long story short, he payed me 50 bucks to make his as awesome as mine.

I wonder how long it will be until Google has a manufacturer produce another developer phone?
The Nexus one is the most perfect phone for me and I cant see anything but another developer phone replacing it. It's beautiful, cutting edge, gets updates quicker, is with T-mobile, and is not under carrier control.
What more could you want?
I only know two other people who have nexii one. And they both bought one because they saw how awesome mine was.
Im sure we could get google to organise something like this, an N1 graveyard of kings.
I wonder how well it would've sold if it had been available in stores.
Now that Google have announced they have the final batch of N1s from HTC, I went and ordered another one! I'm going to leave it in mint condition.
I have had range of different cell phones since 1993 and none come close to the N1.
I know that the future will bring much better phones, however, I do recognise what Google was trying to achieve with the N1.

I unlocked it, rooted it, upgraded his radio and kernel (OC, UV - and he was still running 2.1 update 1. Working for Tmo you'd think he'd get the upgrades first xD) And after that, I gave him CM6, cause that was pretty much the easiest way to get all of the GOOD mods in one. I gave him ADW using the paperless theme, and he thought that was way cool, along with the black desire notification bar. It probably took me, including download times, about 25 minutes using his laptop. So, if I could do this for a living, I could charge $120 an hour =D

no. nanotech can allow both things to happen. It has 3 different "panels". they can close off the panel with the coffee maker so nothing gets in it, and then the shaver can be on top of the keyboard panel, with a small tank like holder so hair doesn't go down to the keyboard.

Buying a "LIKE NEW" used XOOM

Can someone tell me what exactly I should be checking for when I buy it? I don't want to end up with a non functional unit. Thank you.
I would check that it turns on.
Check Wifi, Check BT, Touch screen in as many spots as you can touch.
Check for previous users pictures, hopefully he had a hot girl friend.
Also, if its a 3g Xoom call VZW before you hand over any cash and make sure it is able to be activated.

Only if he intends to use 3g otherwise its not needed. I don't think anybody has made a kirf version of the xoom yet so its not too concerned yet. Mainly because it ain't widely popular and chinese manufacturer wanna make money off something like ipad cuz most people could fall for that. Back to the op, check if it turns on, check the screen and stuff, smoothness...etc hardware wise actually, such as a cracked or dusted screen

IF I was buying a used 3G Xoom I would definitely meet at a Verizon store (or call) and have it activated, before I would hand over a dime. You certainly don't want to find out down the road that the unit was reported stolen and cannot be activated.

Lat time I traveled in Europe I had three! One for my Oz account with my email / WiFi & contacts, one for my UK / Europe account (because Oz account charge a fortune over there in most countries), and one Sat Phone for use when I was at sea in the Med.
It got so bad I almost gave it all up and went of a Sat Phone all the time, but the reception is useless inside any building.
My neighbors jaw dropped lookin @ my phone..
Funny, I keep explaining to others comparing the same with iPhone, for me its my first Android phone, and I am running ICS and end up showing stuffs pretty much and there will be a crash or something crazy..!! lolz, though after two days I feel other phones are so tiny.
Now imagine this: i show my note and everyone asks:" how much did it cost? " and i simply say:" it was free... Won it in a contest on Stuff.tv site"
And everyone thinks this: Damn you bastard... I never win anything!
And guess what? I already made new friends because of it LOL

The only stranger who ever gave my Note more than a moment's glance was a guy I was sitting beside in a seminar. I was using it both to take notes and record audio, while he was using his GS2 to record, and one of the Galaxy Tabs (I think 8.9) to take notes. He was looking over to it constantly, surely with the thought that it must be a great combination of the two devices.
As far as non-strangers are concerned, my wife (an iPhone 4 user) is jealous about damn near everything I've shown her on it. She might end up with the pink or white Note.
I was really surprised with the amount of positive feedback that people gave to the note, including iPhone users etc.
Something interesting I noticed was that at my campus there seem to be a lot of folks with a phone+iPad or phone+playbook or any other tablet etc. (even my gf falls into this category). It just seems sort of silly to me to carry around two devices everywhere.
To be fair, though, I would never use the Note as a primary note-taking device, and have definitely seen iPad users use their devices for this purpose. Like some other users have mentioned, a 6" screen would be just fine in my book, as long as it still made calls.
However, if I didn't have a stereo bluetooth headset I would notice the size of it when using as an actual phone much more...
Ha. How about this one, I was on the phone with the Note on Thursday afternoon in the foyer of our business complex (talking to ATT nonetheless) and saw a Guy walk past me looking right at the phone and is massive size up to my ear and COMPLETELY forgot to open the door to go outside and slammed right into it.

Well, the Note held to your ear IS bonkers for its sheer size...
Yesterday my friends made jokes about exactly this situation all evening long - and yet could'nt resist to playing arround with it. It got the attention from both Galaxy (SI & SII) and iPhone users...

The Massive Phone Held to your Ear

I think it's odd how many people say the Note is too big, or you will look funny holding the phone up to your ear. I make at least 40 calls a day, and I do not use a headset, and not once has anyone said I look funny holding the phone to my ear. Maybe I do look funny, but nobody has ever mentioned it, or even looked at me funny. I think the first few days I used the Note, I felt a little weird, but now I don't even think about the phone size.

I agree w. OP. I am a Prof on a 3 campus university. I am always walking around them and the research labs. I have no problems with putting the Note in my front pocket, talking on the phone with it my ear, using it with one hand and of course being able to do email, schedule, find a room number of a meeting - all while on the fly walking w/ or w/o the pen and usually using the dead accurate voice commands and dictation - never get a strange look.
I use the note like a computer and get things done with such less frustration than past phones ( moving between touch, pen and voice and using allot of gesture controls for speed). I am on one campus when a crisis happens on another ( I am a Grad Chair for a Interactive CS school on one campus and Dir of another small program in Cog Sci on another), checking email and voice inputting a reply or room number or person to call - saves me hours of frustration if I had let the problem grow and not made a quick fix or alleviated with a quick email.
The phone is a godsend and the 'it just looks to big for me being on my hip bus in Manhattan with my hipster friends ( hey I grew up in Manhattan) is just stupid press BS which we have to read all the time. Although 5 million of us know better.
steveblue

Years back, the smallest phone was the trend and if you owns a small expensive phone, you would be the talk of the room! But nowadays, large device/screens are the growing tend. 4.3-4.6 inches screens seems to be the most popular but I think it won't be too long before the majority of people would adopt a 4.8 or 5.5 inches phone!
Thing is we all like to browse websites/check emails/watch photos and videos on the go, and to be able to do this with ease, we need more screen space. The Dell Streak 5 was great but it was built with very outdated hardware/specs. Samsung definitely has won the consumers by making the Note stands out of the market with the S Pen and some top hardware specs.
