I get about the same as you do with pretty heavy usage. I haven't put it down much since I purchased it, so I can't really tell you how long the battery lasts with mild to slight moderate use.

Screentime 9 hours with 50 percent? That's very good!

I get about 7hrs to 7.5 hrs (Screen On, Awake is about 1hr more) with moderate use. It just depends on what you are using it for. I'm never over 50% brightness, at night its at the minimum brightness possible plus I use Screen Filter app (lowers the brightness even more). I tried to turn off wifi when I'm not using it, for example in games.
Admiral could you tell us if that 9hrs are screen on and how you use your tablet (wifi on all the time, browsing, watching videos, games, etc.)

2 hours of screen time there, that seems about normal to me. I'm lucky if I squeeze out 3 hours of screen time throughout the day.
Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk
It depends entirely on what you are doing. 2 hours of screen time (even in ideal conditions) will most likely get through half of your battery.
What screen brightness settings do you use?
What were you doing with the "screen on"? (i.e. gaming, video etc).
What kernel do you use? Try the Faux 1.0 Ghz kernel (if not already) and consider undervolting.
I imagine with the combo of Faux's stock kernel, undervolting and perhaps reducing screen brightness will see 5ish hours of screen time.
It was on around 85% brightness due to being under direct sunlight.
My kernel is faux's 1.45 for CM
Over 80% of the time the clock was around 200, 400MHZ as stated by SetCPU, and both those clocks are undervolted by 50.
I was browsing the whole time.

Wow no wonder. Roaming for 2 hours with brightness nearly on full will definitely drain your battery.v Plus the 1.45 Ghz kernel overclocks the RAM and GPU also. You might want to get an anti glare screen-protector and flash the 1.3 Ghz kernel and use wifi.

Umm... wifi wasn't an option back there, and I don't use screen protectors. BUT I didn't know that bit of fact from faux's kernel, I'll put in the 1.3
BTW, Green power pro does help a ****load on keeping battery alive.
ps: anyway to control RAM and GPU clocks the way we do with SetCPU with the... well... cpu?

I don't believe setcpu functions correctly for dual core devices, I remember reading, albeit a while ago, setcpu only effects 1 core, leaving the second untamed.
Please correct me if I'm wrong. Stock cm kernel has plenty of ass behind it, no ones playing bf3 on their handsets....yet...

Watchdog shows the suspend process and android media process taking up about 30% usage constantly. Signal is strong when I'm at work, constant 4-5 bars H+
Even after a full wipe and clean install of CM7 those same processes throw up alerts immediately, I will get al alert for the suspend process every few mins.
Background data off, no email syncing or anything. I'm lucky to get 3 hours screen on time or pandora streaming. I bought a new Motorola battery about a month ago and I don't use GPS or wifi.
Running stock, aura or homebase and the drain is gone... they aren't any good IMO tho.
For now I'm carrying a spare charger everywhere I go till the nexus prime is released.

Bigger Battery

S3 really need bigger battery..custom rom, custom kernel, supercharged, still can't handle the drain while using it.. idle, perfect, 1%/4hours drop. But once u touch, scroll, open close app, browsing in 10 minutes, >10% drop..should have 2500mah like note..

There is some app that drains your battery. I can easily get 5:30 on screen time with omega. I've seen others doing better. This phone has an excellent battery life, if you know how to avoid apps with bad code that drain your battery. Download better battery stats and monitor your usage. You will find the problem.

Is that custom Rom by any chance CM9?
There are larger batteries out there with twice the original's charge. They are twice the size though and make the phone really fat.
As said above, something is draining your battery. Supercharging is really bad for the battery's life btw.

I find it the opposite. Very good in use not very good in idle. Mine last 5.5 - 6 hours screen on time on 3g. The idle drain however is worse than any other android device I used in the past.

Battery Life with and without Power Saving Mode.

Hey guys,

Agree, its the brightness that kills the battery!
Yes, full brightness and at least 35% juice less....dark background helps a lot actually to keep more juice.

Battery drain overnight.

Hi guys,
My TF300T use 3% of battery overnight on standby (wifi and bluetooth off) , I was wondering if this is normal. So how many percent does your TF300T use overnight?
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using XDA Premium HD app
I've never actually measured the battery drain, but it seems that usually I can leave my TF300T for the best part of 24 hours and it seems to drain very little, but occasionally I leave it overnight (around 8 hours) with about 40-50% power on the tablet, and wake up to find it dead. I can only assume it is heavily dependent on what apps are left running.
Maybe it will help if you set the power mode to highest power savings. That should help a lot with overnight battery drain.
On balance mode mine looses 1-2% overnight if its on power mode its a bit more

It shouldn't be a difference when using different modes IF the device deep sleeps correctly. With radios off, deep sleep and nothing scheduled (like TiBu backups, etc) mine loses about 3% per 12 hours.

3% isn't an insane amount of battery loss. But the apps that are left running plays a part in the speed that your tablet's battery drains.

77% in 49 min and screen on for 49 min. Is this bad battery life? What would make it better? Thanks guys. I'm on cm10.1 with Franco. Clocked at 1026 min and 1512 max.
sounds average. Doesn't sound bad. Bad would be 49 mins screen on and you're at 50%. Screen brightness all the way down? Or is this cranked to the max?

Wait, could you tell us your governor? Franco kernel uses interactive as a default which in that case, you don't need to put the minimum to that high
49 minutes unplugged and 49 minutes screen on on 77% isn't that good at all. You should get at least 1 hour-1.5 if you were using it constantly.

That's not so good IMO, I attached some pictures of what I'm getting, I'm also on CM10.1 and Franco.
You should flash Franco's and let it be, don't put the lower value that high.
Autobrightness on, Sync on, wifi always on, but not always connected (I always forget turn it off )
Could you please check how many mA Battery Monitor Widget reports?
Mine only shows 1500mAh, even when the battery is fully charged.
Would be interesting to know if this is a faulty battery or just displayed wrong.
Maybe that's why some get pretty good battery life, and on some it's really ****ty.

Really depends on what you're doing in that 49 minutes. If you're playing games, have poor data connection, uploading to dropbox etc you can see the battery deplete really quickly. I never get great battery life because I use my phone a lot with the screen brightness all the way up.
