No sound in GTA3 [solved] - Transformer TF300T General

Has anyone here tried playing GTA3 on their TF300? The audio works fine during the Rockstar loading screen and the opening sequence, but when I actually play the game, there is no sound whatsoever. I can't even change the radio station. It's just stuck at "Radio Off".
I would send an email to Rockstar, but I want to be sure it isn't just me. I'll try to uninstall and reinstall when I have a chance.

Did you restore the game from a backup? And what apk version is it

It's freshly installed from the Play Store. Both the FX and music volumes are set to 100%.

Looks like you'll be waiting on an update lol

Uninstalled and reinstalled, and the sound works now.

Nah. I wanted to wait for confirmation of the issue before I committed to another 440MB download. Normally, it would have been the first thing I did, but 440MB is a lot to download, and my connection is only 250Kb/s.

I think I read somewhere that you needed to register as an HTC HD2 and not an EVO for this to work. I have not tried it so don't quote me on it.

some apps will not install on my Nexus S

Hi I've had my Nexus S for a week now and by and large am very happy with it.
Recently I noticed that some apps from the market will not install after downloading, for example, the Pubtran London app.
the app always shows it's being currently downloaded, and when I check the About tab, it says that 100% has been downloaded, but it will not launch into install.
There are quite few apps which I tried to install but also had this problem. I would be grateful if anyone has experience the same issue and has advice to resolve this problem. thanks!
Not all apps are compatible with Gingerbread.
PS Ignore the fact that I thanked you. I clicked the wrong button
hi thank you.
seems then have to wait to the apps to be updated.
even the xda app does not work on nexus S!
I have just found a work-around for this problem.
everytime an app would not install, I just go into manage apps and clear the Market cache. Once the cache is cleared, app can be installed with no problem.

I'm having this problem too.
I don't think it's compatibility issues, clearing cache and force stopping the Market sometimes works, but it seems the next time I use the Market, one of my apps wont update until I do this again.
Any ideas?

The problem isn't unique to the Nexus S for me. My SGS i9000 (DocRamboned) has similar issue, especially with updates...lots fo them stall on the download, or download and fail on the install.
Perhaps there's some issue on the mothership's side of the market.

The "Music" app from CM7 looks pretty good.

CM7 + Honeycomb Music App = Cloud Music Sync NOT WORKING :(

I reporting back on something I stumbled on yesterdays after updating to the latest CM7 2.3.3 build. After updating I have been removing the sock music app then replacing it with the Honeycomb version. Upon that I was prompted with several permissions request and accepted them all. Syncing then started and I checked that under that under Account and Sync notice Music was syncing. This synced overnight. I put in a empty SDcard in. Then I went in to the Jumper Test that comes along with the Music app started the peer under the Controls tab, Ran a test under the Logs tab ( showed 785 files and the files names below) went back to the music app then went to music settings and checked Stream Music and my music started to show up! Played a few songs no problems at all. Let me know if this is working for anyone else.
*EDIT*
So I guess this inst working anymore. I did test this when I originally posted this but i cant get it to work anymore. Sorry guys not yet
is there a way to access those files from a computer too? i mean since its synced in the cloud, could be really useful.

If your objective is to have your music available everywhere, try AudioGalaxy. it streams to computers, android and iDevices.
How did you replace the app? I tried to but the honeycomb music just keeps FC'ing
As far a a URL to go to on a computer I haven't found anything. Ill post the apk i used when I get by a computer sometime later. Basically I just used root explore to delete the stock music app then installed the honeycomb player.

Gotcha. Did that, syncing now...
So, I have a question..
If you already have these songs on your phone, why would you want them "put them in the cloud", so you can play them on your phone, where they are already???????

So you don't have to keep gigs of music on your ad card. This is great news!
If they're in a cloud they dont need to be on his phone. In return he saves space on his memory card. However, if they're not on your phone they're not going to play when you dont have a connection.
I wonder if running a logcat during sync would reveal where this cloud is?
ah, that makes sense..
although, I have a 32 gig card, so i dont care that I have 10 gigs of music on my card..
Plus, thats a good point about not being able to play your music if your connection goes south...
Wait does this download the songs back into the SD card or does it stream your synced music from the cloud?

Read the instructions, there is two apk files (they are inside the zip, you have to extract them out) that you put on to your storage and you just install them them from any file manager. Then when you load them up, it'll prompt you to install a driver, select the appropriate one for your device (instructions tell you which one is the right one for your device), and then you reboot and your good to go.

It shouldn't be that way. If the correct driver was installed for our CPU, you chose MusicFX in Music settings, rebooted for the effect to stick, and turned on the Viper service, the DSP effect should be global. All of my sounds have been affected, regardless of the app source (ringtones, notifications, YouTube, etc).
To make sure the driver is working, open up Viper, hit the Menu button, and click on Driver Status. It should say:
Neon enabled: Yes
Enabled: Yes
Status: Normal
Processing will say No but that's a known bug.
