I wonder if it was so cold that the driver thought that the senser was broken, and returned 200C as an error flag? Had you just awoken the phone?

I doubt the phone would boot past 100c, let alone 200c that would explode right in your hand.

GPS fix, and the cause of many issues

I seen a few threads on GPS fixes. I read them and still see some people having issues after applying fixes. I found out something interesting so it's my turn to post a fix for the GPS issue.
Here is what this will fix:
taking a long time to get a fix.
Not being able to keep a fix.
Not accurate data.
GPS consuming more battery then it should.
I can tell every one who is having trouble still right off the bat that they have their TB's overclocked.
I found out something interesting while trying to get from point a to point b a few days ago. All of a sudden I was having all sorts of issue that I never had before. After futzing around to try and find a solution I focused on the only thing different then usual.
I had my TB overclocked to 1.5GHZ when I normally don't go much higher then 1.2GHZ. mostly not to drain the battery.
My unit took several minutes to get a fix, and when it did, if I started moving again,(driving down the road) it completely lost the fix, or it was sporadic at best.
I lowered the clock speed to 1.2ghz. Killed all apps for a fresh start. Started navigate again, and I got a fix in less then 10 seconds. And it held a fix.
I put the clock speed back to 1.5ghz and I lost the fix again. Problems were occurring again.
I was able to get a good fix at 1.3ghz, but it took a tad longer, still under a minute to get a fix, but at 1.2 it works flawlessly.
Apparently the chipsets used for GPS don't like too high of a frequency above normal.
If anyone is having an issue with GPS, lower your cpu to 1.2ghz or lower. Kill all apps. then restart your GPS software.
Hope this helps any one having issues out!
Great theory, and may be true to an extent. I don't oc and today I could not get a lock to save my life. And I was in wide open lake country where a lock should have been instant.
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
Yea I dont OC at all and Still even with a couple of patches Ive tried, it still dont work right.
My gps has never worked correctly since I got the phone. So interesting theory, but purely circumstantial and unscientific testing. The issue comes about from XTRA code being incomplete in the framework.jar. This is needed for fast locks. Secondly, the radio needs updating. Both are present in a yet unreleased TB ota.
Why you see wildly different results is that eventually, even a standalone gps locks. Fiddling with settings and so forth, you eventually get a lock. Once you have lock and keep it 'warm' with somewhat regular use, you get the illusion of your gps being fixed.

Yeah, I'll agree with everyone (minus the troll). The OC may be affecting your problem, or seem like it is. But, me, from the time I walked out of the store my GPS has not locked a single time. Glad I've still got my not-much-better fascinate to use nav with hhaha.
Currently, using the unreleased update I mentioned, I wait a maximum of 10 seconds on q cold lock, and I'm overlooked to 1.5ghz.

Its just a test of the camera so no file saving. What it does prove (though kind of obvious) is that the battery limitation is a software thing rather than hardware.

Nice one, genius. How might this even be a hardware limitation ? Logical thinking would've rejected this supposition. Btw VilainTweaks includes a fix for this, so we already knew it was possible.

Well yes it is the logical conclusion and also obvious to me but in the interest of avoiding a potentially patronising statement that's why I said 'kind of obvious'
The only possiblility (though disproven by the mods available now) was that although still technically not hardware - if the camera's own firmware rejected operation at certain battery levels then no amount of OS tweeks would get round it.

first of all, it's dual, not duel. a duel is when you offend some bloke and then you shoot at each other, or stab each other to death. or be girls and slap each other with white gloves.
anyway, this phone is fast. loading pages cannot be a benchmark, since that depends on your connection. try playing some games, or using some cpu intensive apps. you'll see the difference.
and try not to troll. i mean wtf, your nexus one is faster than this phone. to quote the post above, as it really hits the spot: seriously!?
I don’t know if this is where you are seeing the difference.
I had a HTC legend and when scrolling web pages with a lot of images, I could never see the checker box appear. But in the SGS2 I see the checker box appear quite often, perhaps it's just me or the way the phone is set up, but either way it does not annoy me.
But when it comes to sheer speed the SGS2 eats the legend a million times over. The most noticeable difference can be seen when installing apps, the SGS2 is blazing fast!!

HTC Legend uses a CPU browser, while GS2 uses a GPU browser making it way smoother, but checkerboxes appears.
Download Opera Mobile or Dolphin HD or something to make the checkerboxes disappear.

I can assure you that my sgs2 on 800mhz max cpu speed will out bench your nexus one any day.

Don't be put off! Odin is an app that you run on your PC, you connect your phone in download mode (turn off then hold down volume down, home and power), download a file and then click a couple of buttons.
It's a doddle, as long as you follow instructions.
Now, finding the correct thing to flash to your phone is a different matter completely!
Yeah don’t be put off. Rooting is easy. I was also scared at first, but it's basically a 30 second process. Try CF-Root, it's easy, just make sure you download the correct firmware for the rooting process.

The response you gave when someone asked for what LED flip case you were referring to. Not everyone knows it was showcased at CES or that it's available. Maybe a language barrier, but it comes off as rude. Rule of thumb is that if you want help, give as much information and give pics if possible, so people will know what you're talking about and will be better able to help you. Otherwise you'll get a very limited number of responses. Just my .02.
Sorry if I sounded rude..didn't mean to..but the other guy that replied was even more impolite than me..I've been using Android phones since the 1st Galaxy S and this is my 2nd Note...so no I'm not an idiot and the Note 4 doesn't outsmart me whatsoever. Anyways sorry again.

The cover takes power from the phone's battery. It will reduce battery life.
What I can't tell you is if it reduces it by any amount you care about, hard to guess how efficient those LEDs are (but they are mighty cool!)
