Hi friends, yesterday i had i mistakes flashing my gts5360 with odin ,using one file package firmware found on samfirmware. The flashing process failed, and now my phone continue to bootloop with "samsung" and the animated screen forever. Luckly i can use the recovery mode and odin mode. I tried to flash some stock doky rom with odin, but nothing changes. When i use the function "wipe data/factory reset" this is the message i got on the phone: E: format_volume: rfs format failed on /dev/stl11..
Is there any chance to unbrick this phone? thank you very much in advance

have u tried the firmware which was at the time when you bought the mobile .. ??
and try to clear data and cache through cwm

oh...not again. you don't even have sgy. @thom80: enter recovery mode then wipe /data. it will solve your problem.

yes i used the cmw recovery too, wipe data, cache , etc, but anything change.
Unfortunately my original stock firmware (gts 5369 italian) is not avalible in odin format, only one package file in samfirmware, and this one package doesnt work with odin for the samsung galaxy y. I used all gts 5360 firmwares until now, which are 100% working,i had not any problems until the yesterday's fail

i tried to flash creed rom and aurora rom, but after installing and rebooting the phone freeze on samsung galaxy gts forever

have you try to repartition your phone? you'll need to load sgy's pit file and tick repartition option on odin.

First of all, your phone is just soft bricked.
1.Try wiping data and cache from STOCK RECOVERY... if it fails then your is havin some mounting errors.
2.try to install another firmware via odin.. dont repartition anything
3.Ask for a nandroid backup from someone and restore it.
Even I have tried flashing 1 file firmware and it always fails but it CANT create problems in your previous rom because it doesnt start the process of flashing

but i thought that repartitioning was not recommended..

yes i tried to check repartion and used the pit file found on the odin directory while flashing a stock doky rom, but nothing to do..

where can i find a nandroid backup? i dont know anything about it

[Q] ext 4 problem

Ok to cut a long story short so this is what happened
1. I am using hyperion.. Because of oc feature i wanted to flash merruks kernel
2. Formatted my rom, backed up using cwm, flashed kernel via odin.. Flashed elite modules and ext4 converter and restored system data and cache
3. Rom did not boot.. So i reflashed rom and restored a previos nandroid backup..
4. To show to a friend of mine i intalled cm9 by whitexp.. No boot so restored
5. Got bored of hyperion so reflashed stock this morning via odin.. Successful flashing but before rebooting it said in recovery E: can't mount data.. Phone got bootloops...
6 reflashed hyperion restored backup and phone is working
From all thia i have concluded that my /data is converted to ext4 permanently which is supported neither by stock nor by whitexp's kernel....
So finally here is my question.. HOW CAN I FIX THIS? I want my stock rom back..
I am even comfortable with terminal emulator commands if you just tell it in a normal human understandable language... Lol
but please help me fix this.. Thanks
P.S only post reply if you really have a solution.. No noob or spam answers please

And phone gets bootloops.. I need to get it fixed
P.S. I am not a noob.. Dont go to my thanks meter.. Its low because i visit xda more as a visitor than a member.. And i have flashed the stock rom correctly and have done it many times before

Install a stock rom using odin preferably a wipe package, and use totoro_0623.pit file and check repartition. It will format everything back to rfs

[Q] Booting Problem

Hey Guys,
i have a problem with flashing custom recovery on my I9505(jfltexx).
When i flash "DBT-I9505XXUBMEA-20130601103235" via Odin and in addition the "CF-Auto-Root-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505" my phone boots up, most of the time but not all the time. Now when i try to flash custom Recovery via Odin, my phone stucks at the Samsung Galaxy Logo and it wont continue. Even if i enter the standard recovery from Goomanager and i select "reboot system now" it stucks on the Logo!
Any Help?
Thanks in Advance

Ok now i get it as per what i see i can still get your device back to normal but myte take multiple try rest assured it will work
1st flash a stock firmware again (not rooted pure stock) this time using pit file along with firmware
and while flashing the firmware using odin and pit do check re-partition also
Note with out pit file do not check the re-partition box
and once the flashing is done device should boot if its not booting
go to stock recovery like how i told u earlier and do factory reset and wipe cache
and reboot
and tell me the status.. all the best

In Odin
PDA - u should select firmware stock one
PIT - select pit file
Re- partition should be check follow the image and flash
If Re-Partition is checked u must have pit file also do not forget that else u myte brick ur device

Based on what you said, it seem like you still have all the partitions intact. Just that they are empty right now.
Did you do a full backup before all this problem happen? Or did you do a custom backup?
Are your backups stored in external memory and is a full backup? If so, try using custom recovery to restore your backup?

Chill. Your phone is definitely not bricked. I encountered your problem before when i was experimenting with something.
- Right now, boot to whatever recovery that you have. Try to wipe cache, dalvik, and any other partition if possible.
- After that, boot to download mode and try to flash STOCK rom using odin. Check that flash was success.
- Try to boot your phone and report here on what happens.
Edit: You might want to consider restarting your computer and changing usb port. "Faulty" Usb port will affect the flashing part.

Behave your speech smart guy, they are trying to help!
general rule on how to fix a bootloop:
1- Wipe data and cache. If not,
2- Restore a nandroid backup if available. If not,
3- Flash stock firmware, If not,
4- Flash stock firmware with pit file (you can try pit file alone).

i9505 stuck on splash logo after flash/reboot

Hey guys im having troubles with my s4 ive flashed the google edition rom to my device with twrp. the rom works fine after i flash on first boot but when i try to power off the phone and turn it back on it freezes on the splash logo. i can get the phone to boot again if i wipe the dev cache in twrp but as soon as i power off the phone and reboot it freezes on the screen again.
Where should i go from here? i have downloaded the official firmware and have it ready to go.
Should i run triangle app to reset my flash counter and then flash official stock rom with odin?

You can flash any CWM Flashable ROM and the problem will be solved.
Sent from my Micromax A117 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Odin takes a bit of time - leave it till its finished
It doesn't look like it's a wipe odin pack so afterwards go into CWM (with a temporary cwm zip) and wipe data
download a different firmware from dokys thread in dev section if you have problems
However if you can still get into recovery
download any stock based custom rom from dev section
go into cwm
Goto mounts & storage
format system data & cache
mount system data cache (they should all say unmount now)
Now you can flash the rom zip
I assume you either didn't wipe system data cache and/or mount system data cache before flashing rom zip hence bootloop

Any errors in recovery when you make full wipe?
If you have a "emmc"error ... the flash of the phone is ruined and the is no software solution for this just hardware
If the are no errors try to flash the bootloader or root the phone (it will voids your warranty)and try to flash a custom rom
If the phone is not rooted and still have warranty .. send it to cusomer service centre..it will replace the mother board

Try to flash a custom rom from recovery...but full wipe after rom flash.or else you will still have a bootloop
What recovery do you have?
If you have a custom one and you did a full wipe(included sistem reset/wipe)you dont have a sistem to boot up.just put a custom rom and wipe data/cache partition and devil cache>reboot

You should try to:
Download SM-N910C_WanamLite.OH4_BL_Modem.tar.md5.zip and SM-N910C_WanamLite.XXU1COH4.V3.0.NO-WIPE.zip from here
Put SM-N910C_WanamLite.XXU1COH4.V3.0.NO-WIPE.zip in your external sdcard
Reboot the phone in recovery mode. From TWRP go to Wipe/AdvancedWipe/ and tick DalickCache, System, Data, Internal Storage, Cache and "Swipe to Wipe".
Always from TWRP go back to the first page, hit "Install", search for SM-N910C_WanamLite.XXU1COH4.V3.0.NO-WIPE.zip in /external_sd and install it, after Wipe Dalvick and Cache.
Reboot in Download mode
In your PC launch ODIN and put SM-N910C_WanamLite.OH4_BL_Modem.tar.md5.zip in the AP button (untick autoreboot)
Connect the phone (in Download mode) to the PC via USB cable
Let it be recognized by ODIN and hit the start button.
Once successful flash, disconnect the phone from the PC, take out the battery, put it back in and turn on the phone.
It should solve your bootloops

When you download just the bootloader you have to put it in the BL button. But what I've linked is a modem/bootloader package and it has to be flashed from the AP button.

F*** sake. I'm sorry about that.
Download the right version of TWRP and flash it via ODIN (link) and try again all the steps.
EDIT:
Which version of ODIN are you using? Try to use the latest.
