It´s actually only GingerDX with ICS Launcher and some ICS apps (AFAIK), so Wi-Fi should work.
Maybe you´ve set the TX power too high.

I have been trying alot of Ice cream sandwich(android 4.0) based roms lately and alot of them have root issues I have found a solution that's worked for me everytime a flashable zip via clockworkmod(CWM) by MS_Guru so I'm here to share it with anyone else with root issues, It should work fine on any ICS based rom.

AOKP ICS has been the best daily use ROM I've come across for the Arc and I'm sure the JB version is just as good.
