This process of getting paid by such companies that will in return give donations at election time for their campigns so they can get re elected is really annoying and is not a government. Att did their board meeting and voted 95% not to be involved with net netruality. Its just bad for isp's all the way around. Obama will veto if it passes the house. Cause att is a large corp that started as a landline company that offers internet service and now they're the second largest provider in an industry where the line between phone service and internet service is quickly fading. They're essentially a telecommunications goliath along with verizon that the fcc needs to break up. Remember the too big to fail of the banks. That's what we have here with these two companies. Now that they're swallowing up their smaller rival im amazed at the fact that few people are speaking out on this. Were the ones that lose out because of lack of investments. These companies will try to take advantage of their copper networks before they put any significant investments into fiber optics which is already at least a decade old. That's why google is buying up fiber optics lines, most of the fiber optics network is underused in the US. Googles setting up their own internet service which will outcompete these old farts. What we need is more companies like apple and google which try to give consumers choice as opposed to having gloiath corporations like att and verizon which try to bloat our phones with crap and charge extra for tethering because theyre both internet providers and cellphone companies. God forbid you use your smartphone as an actual smartphone...that costs extra.

I got the email too, and actually there are three parties involved in the settlement. The first two that qualify must live in Washington State. The third party is:

Sprint will want it but they dont have the money, there is a group of private investors that have been lurking on the fringe. They have been designated the most likely outcome. Chinese and Russian firms have shown an interest but the Congress hurdles would be great.

i think apple should buy tmobile so they can give iphone users a true end to end experience. tmo could exclusively sell iphones, leave all the good android handsets to the other carriers. if all the big networks(ie att and vzw) saw a mass exodus of customers to go to a service provided by apple, prices would prolly go down across the board.

I wouldn't go lower than that Gordon, if lowballers aren't willing to pay a Benjamin, don't you worry, the devs aren't cheap. If they need it, they'll buy it. Perhaps a member in need will buy it if not a dev. I bought mine for 230$ when it first came out off-contract, but there's still people with money to blow who I could sell it to for 250$ if I felt like it, so $100 is fair if you ask me. Some people love to be on the contrary, they love it, just ignore it. Lol.

I found an epic on Craigslist which messed up during an update (battery ran out). So now it only boots to recovery.It has a clean ESN and its only $50. I've been planning on switching back to the epic for a while, so I'm going to jump on it.

Apple is sitting on an enormous pile of cash, so they've decided to see how many other manufacturer's phones they can knock off of mainstream store shelves. They're not worried about an obscure phone from China that isn't going to sell anywhere near as many units by comparison.
