To fix this error go to "data/apps" and delete "odex" file specific to the app giving errors. This will fix it.

Such kind of solution better to be placed on warez site, from where ppl getting it
XDA should not be choice to host such unsolicited advise.
anyway it is promoting warez..

Thread Cleaned
Do not discuss warez. I dont care what personal feelings are over it, its against the rules, full stop. Using the excuse i just want to try it first is a poor one, use your brain and use the user reviews to make a informed decision.

What happens in case of DeOdexed Roms ?

You didn't have superbrick probably soft brick wich its hell easy to fix about drivers you probably didn't even have them installed.. The port in Pc has nothing to do with unbricking.... And read hell lot more before you really damage your device you just got lucky

Im curious, how did you brick it? So other people like you doesnt brick their devices..
I just accidentally flash a new custom rom over the currently unsuitable to flash with using CWM Recovery ..
He heh heh ..
I was really am lucky. Anyway can anyone share a link to the best way unbricking other than sending over to samsung??

bricked is done ... Note gets bricked when you do a wipe over stock ICS Kernel ..
To my best knowledge we still do not have a way to recover your phone without sending it to Samsung Service Center...

Brief Review: TempYus v1.3 ROM

Hello peoples of the xda community.
I was one of the lucky ones to download this rom before Tempius decided to have the thread deleted due to much criticism.
Let me tell you in short - for me, everything WORKS! Yes, even WIFI. Maybe I'm just luck, don't know. But no reboots after approximately 2 weeks. And I use my wifi a lot.
Everything else is a pleasure to use. And to crown it all, it's wayyyyy faster than Aurora (which is a fantastic rom)
Only downside, it seems, is the battery drain. This I can live with. I have chargers at the office, home and in the car.
In my opinion, this rom with the ADW launcher, is the best and most stable rom to use for the u8800.

Can you give me this rom? just tell me where I can download this rom? or can you upload it to a dropbox so i can download it. You know we all want to use it.
Re: Brief Review: YempYus v1.3 ROM
I'd be more than happy to share it with anyone who wants it - not too sure on uploading though...
I'll find a way and post soon.

Working link?
Just checked the link on the first page again - is still working on my side.
PLEASE NOTE: I am NOT the developer of this rom! So I can unfortunately not assist in any way as far as bugs and development is concerned. This was simply my take on this rom that I wanted to share, because so far, I've had NO issues with it - NONE. Even the wifi works perfectly without any reboots. In fact, I haven't had a single reboot since installing this rom.
The only downside (if I have to point out one) is battery life - but this could be because of my heavy usage of the phone and the phone's poor battery management.
I installed this over an existing Aurora ICS with update 21. If i remember correctly, the steps for installing this was (stand to be corrected on this):
1. Reboot to recovery
2. Wipe data/Factory reset
3. Wipe cache partition
4. Format system
5. Wipe Dalvik
6. Install rom zip file
7. Reboot system
Please share you experiences.

Thank you,
Will see if i could provide you patches.
Strangely the landscape mode bug present in CM 10.1 is absent in this ROM
If you dirty flash PAC over CM10.1 then you will get a FC of process.android.acore
I can't use any of the root apps like root browser or root functions like disabling boot animation. I just don't get a superuser prompt on using these apps
And also the problems mentioned by @chotu222

Did you try this, it must work (use root explorer)
open file "factorymode" in efs/factoryApp directory, it probabely says "off", change to "on" (yes "on" is the correct setting to turn it off), then save

Yes finally I'm deleting factorymode_fb.apk from /system/app and it works normally again
But still, everytime I reboot/turning off and on the device, the message "factory mode is on!!!" still popping out, but yeah everything still worked fine, just annoying message everytime I'm rebooting the device. Quite strange tho.

Did you manage to fix this problem?
I had the same thing happen to my i9500 after reloading stock firmware. I had a backup of the EFS folder and after restoring it I still got pop ups from the factory test.
I checked the factoryapp file and it was already set to on. I changed permissions on the file using root browser (basically selected all the check boxes), rebooted and factory test stopped coming up and my lock screen and reboot screen was back
If you already fixed the problem ignore post LOL
