And I paid $790 at launch. *shakes head*

OK.. now i want to cry.. i used my upgrade March 10 after hearing the iPhone would still have a sadly small screen..
I paid $299 with contract..
GRRR.. such bad timing.. to get it for half that would have made things better..

I am about to burn my upgrade on this phone since I am not having any luck in the marketplace

How much would you buy the Galaxy Tab now?

Since the wi-fi version will come out on April 4 and the fact that the SGT has been out since November, how much do you think is a good price for a used SGT?
I have looked on Craigslist and the average price for the T-mobile version is $400.
There seems to not be a lot of AT&T version.
I do not want the Sprint or Verizon version.
Do you think a used SGT for $400 at this time is a good deal or should it be less?
I have the Xoom currently but I want to buy the SGT for my wife. It is small enough to put it in her purse.
Another question for you guys:
1. Would you buy the brand new AT&T SGT with its current price or a used $400 (with no tax) on a T-mobile SGT ?
Thanks.
I paid $499 for my VZW Tab and it was worth every penny. If you are buying it for what it does out of the box you won't be disappointed. If your like every other idiot I've met and you buy Android devices for what some developer MAY develop EVENTUALLY or not at all, you will be disappointed.
I also think $400 is a little high atm for a used Tab.
$300.00CDN. No more.
My threshold was sub $300. When it hit $299 at Costco for the VZW tab without a contract, I jumped on it. Development and BT capabilities are behind their GSM brethen, but it was worth the significant savings to me and it runs well for me overclocked to 1.4ghz.
I just paid 300 usd for my sprint one and love it. I dont like any other carriers data plans.

Unlocked Streakat dell.com for $399 - June 23, 2011

Not seeing the significance, still locked to ATT unless you wanna settle for crappy Edge.
Other than the $199 sale that happened a couple of months ago the $399 price is the lowest off-contract price foe a new Streak 5 I have seen.
It is true that the phone has AT&T bands, but it is not carrier locked. The biggest benefit of this is no AT&T bloat. With used Streaks on eBay selling for $275 to over $300 $400 for a new device with a one year warranty may appeal to some.
I'm with you Marvin. Jealous I have no easy way to get one.

[Q] Nexus 4 or T-Mobile Galaxy S 3

I have run into a problem! I LOVE Google and have been waiting for the Nexus 4 to be available. I am due for an upgrade so TMO will sell me the N4 for $200 but the S3 for free. Which one is better for the next two years? Should I dish out $200 and get the Nexus 4? Or should I save my money and stick with the S3 and perhaps get the much awaited S4..

That $200 comes with a huge caveat. You have to pay $15 a month until you pay off the total of $499.99.
$299 or $349 off contract versus $500 "upgrade".
Yeah no thanks T-Mobile

That's only true with some plans, others just have the $200 price (after $50 MIR).
I'm due for an upgrade, too; I'm thinking about buying the N4 from the Play Store and then using the upgrade on a free S3 (through this upcoming sale: http://www.tmonews.com/2012/11/t-mobile-holding-two-day-samsung-sale-on-november-16th-17th/) and selling the S3 to get some/all of the N4's cost back.
I was thinking the same thing!

I was thinking the exact same thing! Except why go through all that trouble when I can keep the SIII..Because when the S4 comes out I can simply sell the SIII for a reasonable price which will help me get the S4 but the N4 is cheap with Google meaning I cant sell it for much cheaper..
S3 is beast but slow with updates and more expensive when buying off contract. Nexus 4 is beastly but not as much as S3 and you will be first for updates plus $329 off contract. Get the Nexus.

The S3 will be free for me with a sale TMO is having next friday though Also the US S3 (the one I am contemplating on getting) is duel-core while the N4 has a much appreciated quad-core CPU so wouldnt that make the N4 superior to the S3?

dont focus on cores, focus on the entire package. camera, micro sd slot, battery, etc look at the entire package as well as what the total price will be.

If s3 was offered for free I see why there is any hesitation. s3 for sure and is no brainer.
I would go with note 2 though if u were to pay 200 for a new phone on a contract.
N4 ON CONTRACT for 200 is such a ripoff and is just absurd.
