cm9 via odin3 - Galaxy S I9000 General

hey guys, my samsung is in a bootloop and recovery mode is not acceseble
im looking for a cm9 firmware thati can flash via odin3 to fix my phone

i think that is not possible .start ur fone in download mode .flash a stock rom .and then flash CM9 .

if you manage to get into recovery, try to flash cm9 again, it will probably fix your problem.
if you rather flash JVU to start over again, dont forget for the small installation that comes after the odin process to end before flashing any custom kernel.

Need a ROM (and firmware?) from ODIN, phone bricked NO CWM only ODIN works.

I screwed up my rom flash and CWM and ROM don't work, stuckon a boot loop.
I need A rom I can install via ODIN because thats the only thing that works.
Any rom will do, as long as I can flash it via odin
It just has to be no CWM only via Odin.
Thanks folks, I will be in dbted to who ever helps me fix this.
Big thanks and Kudos

I'm in the same situation. I'm stuck in Oden Mode and it says Firmwear upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again. I have opened up Kies and it doesn't help. I can't get anywhere and keeps failing.
Help, and thanks!

Hello! Sorry to hear that. You can refer to the guide in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
Pick the firmware which is nearest to the one you originally have. If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask but please read the link above as the instructions in it are complete.

look under "original Android Development" on this forum, you will find all the stock (odin flashable) roms released for the S2, up to the KI8

stuck on Samsung Galaxy Y logo..

Tried flashing a custom firmware, but ended up in a sort of boot loop, so i flashed my old firmware back, but the same problem occures, stuck in a bootloop..
No matter what I flash Im stuck now
help!
Provide more info...
Like which custom firmware you flashed...
How you then flashed the stock rom
I was on DDLC2 HYBRID ROM v3.0
Tried to flash using CWM to [CusRom] Repencis v3 - DXLC1 - TIGA - {Update 02}
But stuck
So I tried flashing using CWM back to HYBRID
stuck
tried flashing using CWM to creeds
stuck
Trying to use odin to flash back to stock to try again, but that's not given me any luck i.e. still stuck
i constantly change roms and i never encounter anything like that.. this week alone i flashed hybrid 3, repencis 3 and chobits 1.4b just to test them out and i never flashed back to default firmware.. try flash again but before you start flashing make sure you wipe data and clear cache
edit
also have you flashed any custom kernel? because as far as i know those roms need to be flashed on stock kernel

When I wipe data I get:
E:format_volume: rfs format failed on /dev/stl10
Have you done repartition using odin
Nope, havnt touched any tickboxes, left all as default
Which firmware did you flashed using odin....
from sammobiles or where
Solution will be
Use odin 1.85(supports sgy)
Download odin supported stock firmware from doky's post in dev section
flash with repartition checked... Use totoro___.pit
if not working after this... You must be having a hardware issue... Have warranty then good to go.
*remember I'm not responsible if any thing happens to your phone

as long as you are able to go into download mode, you are still good. Just make sure that before and after you flash the new stock firmware, you should always "wipe date and cache" both via stock recovery and cwm.
Thanks that worked i was using a wrong firmware for odin. All good now

It's good to hear your problem is solved.
I assume you have already given thanks to doky for his excellent work.
I think the thread must be closed now.
Well, i have that issue with a galaxy s Young from ClaroPR(5360L). I have tried all firmwares available also from sammobile. Thing is that when the phone reboots after a successful flash it will go to recovery to apply csc and all the stuff and says cant mount E:/data or something like that. It will reboot itself but stays on a bootloop, splash screen and reboots again. Does someone have had this issue?
Changing with custom kernel is a bit rough, try to use the lite versions of roms

Softbrick (Maybe?) Please help

Hi,
I just flashed the Abyss Kernel via Mobile Odin Pro.
I was on Rocket Rom ICS Version 2, and Franco's Kernel R5.
Now the phone does not go into recovery, the galaxy note logo still shows up. I'm not sure if there is a way to get back into recovery? Or how do i fix this situation?
Thanks...
Try to flash another ics (safe!) kernel with pc Odin; it should work but then you'll have to use triangle away to reset counter.
Otherwise, flash a gb/ics stock ROM

Can you put it into Download mode?
Try to install GB rom with root kernel first by PC ODIN.
then flash ICS customROM.
Your step was wrong..
First go to CWM and install Abyss not Mobile Odin..

[Q] GT-P1000 doesn't boot anymore after installing ClockworkMod

Hi everybody,
I'm new to this forum and I'm in deep troubles...
I was trying to install CM9 on my Galaxy Tab 7 (German / europe version).
I was following this official guide here:
wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_Tab_(GSM):_Full_Update_Guide
After installing the ClockWorkMod recovery (the installation did not report any error), the tab has rebooted and gets stuck at the samsung logo image.
I've tried to boot in recovery mode and do a factory reset but nothing changed.
The tab was original from samsung with latest updates installed from kies. No root, no other custom roms installed.
Can someone help me please?
Thanks in advance, Luca.
Boot into download mode, flash to stock firmware, flash Overcome kernel, put CM9 on sdcard and flash in recovery (CWM).
Go to the Overcome thread, follow links to guide/files etc.
Same issues
Luca, I'm on the same situation, if you have solved this issue please let me know, I've done exactly what you did and I'm on the same problem, thanks !
Problem solved
Same problem after updating to Cyanogenmod 9 RC1.
So I went back to the Restock Package of Overcome (can't inser links as it's forbidden for forum beginners...!?!) and overcome kernel 4.0.0.
So put the tablet with power+volume down and connecting with usb cable to download mode (triangle construction sign).
Then load .pit, .tar and modem.bin with Odin3 on the tab. After rebooting to 2.3.6 power off and again download mode and flash kernel 4.0.0
On the german android-hilfe site search for ' ICS CM9 Version 4.0.4 MTD' for explanations. There was a c't article with more links called 'Entwurzelt: Samsung galaxy tab root und flash'
After restart of 2.3.6 restock package I downloaded latest nightly built and the google apps (see explanations on Android-hilfe) and with some trying (flashed the rom twice?) I got back to the newest ICS on my SGT-P1000. Even camera is working now.
Good luck!
Flash the overcome kernel for P1000 using either Odin or heimdall. Go into recovery and wipe cache and dalvik.
Did this to mine and after following above technique it worked.

(Q) (Solved) Problems with upgrading and rebooting

Hi guys. First of all it's gonna be my first thread. That's way I wanna say hello to everyone. Anyway. I just tried to upgrade my Samsung Galaxy S Gt-I9000 to ICS 4.0 and I followed pinappu. hubpages. com/hub/Samsung-Galaxy-S-firmware-update-to-Android-40-aka-Ice-Cream-Sandwich instructions. My phone installed the upgrading files successfully. After rebooting my phone didn't turn on. I can't start my phone even in recovery mode but download mode is working. What should I do?
Yours

Sorry for my lexical and grammatical errors. English isn't my native language.
Boot into download and flash a GB rom through Odin. Then flash a kernel with CWM (like Semaphore). Download any ICS rom zip file and flash it twice (it will bootloop or reboot recovery after the first flash).
The instructions and links to tutorials/videos for installing roms are usually in the rom's OP so you can just follow that.

Thank you for your reply. I just flashed GB 2.3.6 rom and now my phone is working. Thank you. I'm not sure about ICS anymore
If you only want the appearance of ICS use SauROM and then flash the ICS theme. It looks just like ICS but is obviously still GB.
When bootloop or no CWM occurs after flashing from GB -> ICS:
-remove battery
-download a ICS kernel to your PC.
eg. Semaphore ICS http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21910951
-start Odin and put .tar in PDA field. Untick repartition.
-insert battery and go download mode.
-connect usb to PC and flash ICS kernel.
Next boot of phone should be normal ICS.
