unlock korean XT720
Go online and get you unlock code , update you phone to a custom rom you will find plenty of these on this site CM7 i used from J.Y daddy, then place in you sim and you will get request for a unlock code.
Korean phones have this functionality removed so updating is the only way

Unlock code

Does AT&T give out the sim unlock code for this phone? Or do you have to pay someone to unlock it?

You can ask them. But If you want you can pay the people on this site to send you a sim card and enter in a code and it is unlocked.
just call up att and tell them you are going out of the country and ask for an unlock code.
Ok. Thanks

Unlock code

I have an o2 x8 payg and need it unlocking for Vodafone sim, any help will be well appreciated, many thanks, a code would be better to do rather than bits of downloadable zip files to trawl through

Then buy unlock code, cause there is no way to unlock your phone for free (for now)...
Thanks for your response is their a good site that you know of, many thanks

I recommend to unlock your Bootloader, this procedure SIM-unlocks the phone. See the development thread, there are many topics about unlocking.

Actually it doesn't, you need to pay for the code or use setools2 and it isn't free either. So right now there's no free way to sim-unlock the x8.
Yes, you can use setools2 but it's not free !!!

PLease help me with unlock

Hello. I bought HTC HD2 that was locked to T-mobile. Then I installed android. Everything was perfect before i wanted to make calls from phone. I purchased the code and I dont know how to insert it in android system. So i decided to install Windows 6.5 and to insert code from there. Can some one help me pls?
THank you!!
If you mean you bought an unlock code, then just put a sim that is blocked into the phone then start the phone up, then it will ask you for the code

It asked before but now it doesnt. I dont know, maybe because of version of ROM or i pressed something wrong and now this windows does not pop up (
I had to install the stock tmobile windows mobile 6.5 to get the unlock box to appear. Any other room didn't let the box show, so I couldn't enter the unlock code. There is a thread here (in the general forum) that gives a download of it.

How can I unlock my Samsung Vibrant phone

Hi,
I have bought a Samsung Vibrant from T-mobile. And I have read this thread about loading pit, pda for Samsung phone. Is there a pit/pda for Samsung vibrant which let me use a non t-mobile sim?
http: / / forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=734475
Thank you.
SGS Unlocker from the market should work.

Is there any option which is free?
Galaxy S Unlock in market is free but requires root-as they all do/will. There is also another thread in the Q&A about this very issue.
The easiest free way to do this is to call T-Mobile and ask for the SIM unlock code. If you have had it this long, they usually won't have an issue giving you the code.

You need to have Tmobile account to do that
I know GUN. Wasn't this covered already. We actaully had a successful post this morning about it.
I remember back in October we didn't need root.
Illegal stuff is good.
will this work with ICS??

I don't think the SGS unlocker really works. I tried to use it in the past when my phone was new, and i believe it didn't worked for me.
Let me know if it works for you.
Didn't work

I used a windows program that was uped here when the vibrant came out you had to be running 2.1. You just opened the program plugged in your phone and it would find the unlock code then you just had to insert a different sim card an type in the unlock code and your good to go well it worked for me. If you odin back to 2.1 and find the unlocking program on here im sure it will still work.

Did you run the Vibrant/Vibrant4G specific one? Worked fine for me when I had mine.
This is what you want.

Galaxy S Unlock by Helroz has worked for both of my Vibrants. Make sure to backup everything first.
ok so ihave unlocked at least 10 phones with this app thats called Galaxy_S Unlock by a developer called HELROZ
1.make sure your rooted before you try this usually superoneclick works fine
2.make sure you tell the program to install busybox with in the process it will ask you if you want to.
3.Once you do that then reboot the phone
4.download the app from the market it usually pops up when you search galaxy s unlock
5. open the app and follow the step beginning from 1-3
and BAM your unlocked
In personal experience this has worked for me every time
When you unlock with the program instead of the actual code, does Odin overwrite the nv_stats file, causing it to be locked again?

That is a good question. I just Odin'd last night coming off ICS to test another ROM and just checked mine and it still says it is unlocked.

Sony finally supporting MEID unlock!

Good news for all of you R800x users. Sony Mobile has finally added MEID support for unlocking your phone through their website (this could apply to other phones that use MEID as well).
I just went through the instructions on the Sony's website for getting the unlock code and then followed Ridder's guide and the install ran without any trouble (I'm not entirely sure if his process will work with other roms, can someone confirm this?)
I'm now off Verizon's horrible rom and running CM9 .
Anyways I just wanted to let people know, enjoy
*If youre having trouble with flashtool, try doing it using using the methods discussed in the links I provided above (Sony Instructions and Ridder). Alsomake sure you have Sony's Fastboot drivers installed.
Awesome I guess, can anyone confirm this for Locked R800i models? Mine is a factory unlocked, I'm just curious if Sony decided to provide a free unlock for everyone since they abandoned us on Gingerbread.

Its worth a try. Follow the steps on the unlockbootloader link I gave above, it tells you how to check if you can unlock, and what else needs to be done.
Great news!

Yea It worked finally on CM 9!
Although my phones bootloader was unlocked over a year ago via the unlock code (thank you ashergrey) I have embedded a screenshot of what I see if I follow the prompts to unlock my phones BL, even though it is....
I just went ahead and listed my phones MEID # in the sony website and 3 seconds later had this in my email inbox.
See attachment.
As I am already unlocked it appears that Sony really is now unlocking VZ Xplays. My contract ends in 2 months and I am thinking of just getting an AT&T XP and unlocking that, can anyone with a AT&T XP see if it will work for them? That would be fantastic news if it will unlock AT&Ts as well.
Yay!

I cannot as my phone is factory unlocked, and even if I did relock my bootloader it isn't network locked so I could have always unlocked it,
My Att play still has a locked bootloader and apparently my MEID is 1 number too long. Eh, it was worth a try.

This just means R800x users will not have to pay for bootloader unlocks anymore, it doesn't effect cdma development because we have already been working with unlocked bootloaders for over a year
