Hi I'm new :)

Hi as the title says I'm new to the site I seen it after reading about this forum on a tech site , so my story is Dec26my contract was ready for a upgrade took the plunge and went for the nexus S over the iPhone 4 I'm really glad I did I love the phone and the OS iknow a lot of people are bashing it but I don't see the fuss , I've had slowdown but nothing to start getting angry over. I can't wait to see what updates come out and what developers do with the tech.
I do have the issue with apps not showing but my guess is it's just comatability so biggy for me, I love the notification bar too very sweet feature I see why people always say iPhone doesn't do it as good as android, overall I find iOS has a more user-friendly feel to it and looks, but android does the job and does it good and takes the hard stuff out for you.
I'm planning on getting into development I have no experience but I plan on reading books and teaching myself it's a OS I want to stay with.
Welcome to the forums and thank you for the introduction.
I'm sure you will grow to love your Nexus S and Android even more as you play with all the excellent contributions from this development community.
Thank you, it was my main reason to joining I love what communities can do.

Wanted to introduce myself

Hey Guys,
I waned to introduce myself. I have a Galaxy Tab on the way that I traded for my Viewsonic G-Tablet.
I was very Active over on that forum and loved the G-Tablet. The reason I did the trade was because of the screen viewing angles and the size of the device. I layed with a Galaxy Tab and loved the size so I pulled the trigger.
Anyway just dropped by to read up a little on the device and get ready t mod it when I have it in my hands next week.
Welcome to our small family Feel free to start hacking and unleash your tab's performance! And ofcause, don't forget to contribute
Hi, I would be interested to hear your comparisons of the two devices once you get familiar with the Samsung.
Great to hear from you. Always great to welcome another member to the rebellion.

A Big Thanks To the Modders!!!

I want to say thank-you to the people who create the tools and mods that allow me load mods.
The Acer Iconia upgrade was a fiasco. My Sony Xperia upgrade was a fiasco. It is because I live in Switzerland and we are a little country and nobody is really interested in giving us the upgrade.
So off I went to install a Xperia mod, saw how it worked, and then upgraded my Iconia to the latest 3.1 Iconia rom. After getting to understand how mods work I have to say it is a fantastic thing! No more reliance on the vendors and I can what I want with my device.
If you are wondering, yes I donated to the various places where donate buttons were present!
So thanks...
i so agree
Awesome work guys gals
And thank you xda admins.
Kisses to all

Goodbye* & Thanks

hey guys, i wanted to say thanks to everyone in this forum:
- the devs for taking time creating amazing work that to help improve, theme, mod, etc. our device to an extent beyond the what samsung/sprint couldnt or wouldnt do. THE DEVS ARE THE DRIVING FORCE OF THIS SITE - i cannot thank u enough either monetarily or by clicking the "thanks" button. ur work (regardless if i have flashed it or not) is incredible. cheers!
- the members for helping out the devs w/bug reports, answering questions, and general help w/either questions i had or welcoming in a rookie. this is a VERY friendly forum and thats not always the case in other forums. thanks!
for anyone who cares i haved moved on to the GSIII. i took advantage of the one day $100 best buy sale a few days back. the EPIC 4G was my first smartphone and android device. because of the devs and the community here - I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A "non android" PHONE. i understand now why its even laughable to me that anyone would purchase an iPhone over and android device.
long live the original and BEST of the Galaxy S devices.:highfive:
thanks again guys!!!
*for the savvy readers who caught the (*)asterick in the title of thread...its because my wife still has her EPIC 4G. i made needs ya'lls help in the future

Apology to AT&T Galaxy Note 3 users

I know this thread will probably get shut down quick, so I'll keep it simple. Some of you may remember that I created a thread for a ROM entitled ENCOREROM and did not follow through with a release. I would like to apologize for that and explain a little. I have been an avid ROM flasher and seeker of knowledge in the field of Android development for some time now. When I set off to build a ROM for the Note 3, I was unaware of just how much time it would take. I was in high school, both regular and an extended hours performing arts school, and found myself with very little time to work on development. I have since moved on to college and am attempting to reach out and work more on my development skills. I have reached out to a fellow new dev that is attempting to do something that I attempted a while back, Android Wear for the original Galaxy Gear. I know I haven't always been the most reliable, but I try my best to share, learn, and teach where I can. I thank every member of XDA for this amazing site and hope that my past mistake will be forgiven. If you have any input on the Android Wear for Galaxy Gear, PM me and I will pass it along. If you have any information that may help in my learning, also PM me. Mods, if this is out of place, feel free to shut the thread down immediately. I no longer own a Galaxy Note 3 (currently on an LG G3). Happy New Year everyone, I wish you luck in all of your endeavors.
Thanks for the explanation...
Happy New Year!
