Play store problem. plz help. - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 General

Hey guys!!
I really need your help. Is My IP blocked by google? Playstore works fine on GPRS but when I try to download applications through Wifi on galaxy note it shows server error. When i click download, it say country not supported. It lets me download through GPRS. Can anyone pls help? 'this item can not be installed in your device's country'
Regards,
Abhi
It was working fine uptil now. I have been downloading applications since 6 months. Every time I try to login it gives me server error but it works fine through GPRS. One more thing, I can download all the apps which I had downloaded previously from my apps without any problem. I don't want to use market unable to resolve this. Can you please help?

search online for the app "market unlocker" or something like that,
makes you go to the market through proxies in different countries.

Market unabler, right? I don't want to use that. It's not a country problem I am sure because no one else from India is having such issue.

you may try and fix permission on bootloader. i had your same problem with a custom rom, i fixed permission and now it is ok. let me know how it goes

@PazzoPazzini
Ah! not using custom rom. I have not rooted the note yet. Just bought it before 2 days. My bro is facing same issue on same wifi. He has galaxy ace.

wifi goole play server error
me too hvng the same problem

Since when you are facing this problem? I am having this problem since one week.

No one seems to have solution for this. I found an alternative which might help few ppl. You have to turn on the GPRS first and click on download (any app you want to download from play store.). Once download animation starts, you can turn wifi on. Strangely, it allows to download through wifi then. Otherwise, I get an error that this item can not be installed in your country. I am not sure how long thing alternative will work.

I am having same same problem since yesterday. Error 921 or 941. I don't get it, because when I try download something on my S2 it does it without problems. But my Note doesn't download at wi-fi or over network data connection. Tried remove battery, restart the phone, nothing. Running everything stock, DBT latest firmware, unlocked phone on AT&T network with unlimited data.

My problem is solved now ... Remove all account information from account and sync by doing hard reset. Created another gmail account with US address. After that, unchecked the background data button and unabled it after some time. It started working without any problems

wi-fi stopped working

Hi. The Wi-fi on my G1 has stopped working.
I rooted my phone with the RC9 uk version by JF. I had no problems connecting to encrypted network.
I tried moving apps onto sd card and ran into problems so I wiped my phone and reset everything.
I cannot connect anymore on open or encrypted network. I can view it and when I try and connect it, it try's to obtain ip address and then fails!!?
Any ideas? Thanks
Hi
Does anyone think it's worth flashing back to the original version? I suspect not because it worked ok on the jf version I have but don't know what else to try?
I will try another wireless network at work today.
If my phone is picking up the network but not connect sound like a hardware problem or just a software one do you think?
Thanks
I had a similar problem but it was a router issue. I would def try another router before blaming the phone.
Ok. I just tried another router at work with an open network and its still the same. Shall I flash the phone do you think. Don't really want to do it again but I use the wifi network a lot and I am worried it could be hardware.
Thanks
well if you flash it and still have the problem then its hardware based. So nothing can hurt from flashing
I re flashed with latest version rc9 jf version and now working again. Thank you neoob

[Q] Mobile network disconnects when the screen is off

Hello,
I've noticed something strange this past month. I was getting data disconnections and I could'nt figure out why. Each time I look at my phone, turning the screen on, mobile network (voice + data) is missing for a few seconds, and comes back.
Now I know that if I keep the screen on for a while (I tried more thant 1 hour), I don't loose the network, but if let the screen go to sleep I immediately loose the network (I don't receive whatsapp messages in background), and when I turn the screen on, it comes back.
Weirdly, when my phone could reach 4G, I had (almost) no disconnection. It only happens in a 3G, edge, or nodata zone.
I changed my carrier (I just moved from europe to New Zealand), and it doen't change the problem.
I'm using CM11-Nightly (sept) on a I9505. I tried installing an old nightly(from july), and it was really full of error messages, so I switched back to a recent nightly, but in the meantime I had no disconnection.
Thank you for your help

I don't know exactly where this option is, but it's for battery saving. You can choose that somewhere in your settings I think
I think that's true for Wi-Fi, but I never found it for network.
And now it seems that network won't come back if I don't go to airplane mode and back to normal mode.
I'm having the same problem, seems to mostly affect lollipop installs.
Did you find a solution?

No I didn't. It seems that somewhere in july 2014, CM11 included a new version of the modem. So every CM11 build after that and every CM12 build is affected (I don't know about other roms).
I read that it was the way the modem handled finding the best network method. With the previous modem (v5 ?) it tried to get LTE, 3G, etc... but now it fails when it fails to get the prefered network.
4 solutions:
- flash the modem (didn't try it, don't know how)
- You're supposed to be able to choose you're prefered network in the options and choose 2G/edge. Didn't work for me but I'm interested in your feedback.
- get an old version of CM11
- live with it (my current option :'( )
There is maybe another solution, I'm not an expert, just a desperate user.
Hey again, I did fix it for myself.
The modem is the problem (I flashed my modem, and my bootloader just to be re-up-to-date).
If you want to get lollipop for yourself you should do it, its not too hard
Its listed as Qustion 14 on this here page: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2419762
I don't mind trying to give some pointers if you need help understanding how to do it, but I did this at 5am while sick so my memory of what I did is not 100%, never the less I would like to help if you need it.
Thank you for the advice (you came seeking for one, and ended up helping me ).
How did you choose which modem version to pick up ? the latest ? Do you have to do it after every CM upgrade ?
Edit:
I found the latest version from one of your links : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50965837#post50965837
Is the "Combined package - both modems in one flashable file." ok ?
And what does flashing the bootloader do ?
"What it does"... I am not 100%, I assume it initialize some part of the system, HW or kernel level, but I might be way off.
In any case I did use the dual modem pack to flash both "PHONE" and "PDA", another thread I asked in just replied to another user with the neccessity to flash the new bootloader aswell (dont know if the version numbers applies for you):
u must be using a 4.4.2 baseband and bootloader .. just a 4.4.2 baseband will not work .. once updated ur set

My question is on this page a bit down, and some replies a bit further down than that:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2735248&page=116
Tip: I had to save the PIT to a file (did it twice to be sure) with heimdall before using odin to flash (couldn't get heimdall to work for that part), all because odin would not play nice inbetween loading the PIT from device and flashing, this might not be a problem for you at all so it's just an FYI.
I managed to flash the modem & the bootloader. So far, no disconnection, so I'm quite happy.
Cheers

[Q] GT-i9505 problems when upgrading stock message app to S5 version

So I recently rooted my phone, and one of the things I wanted to do was upgrading my apps to the S5 versions. I decided to start out with the messaging app, and I must have done something wrong. Every 2 seconds a "Process com.android.phone has stopped" message and a "Messages has stopped" message comes up. My phone also loses and gets back signal every 3 seconds. If I try to turn on 3G it says I haven't insertet a SIM card, even though I have. I think I've deleted something I shouldn't have. Is there any way I can download the files I might have deleted, or do I have to flash my phone with the stock files? I can't find stock files for a Norwegian version, so this could be a problem. Any help is much appreciated!

Hi ,
Regarding Process com.android.phone has stopped usually that is a problem with gmail contact sync , delete the account and re install it again
Regarding the sim part , it only gives you that when selecting 3G with the rest of bands is ok??

I tried factory resetting my phone hoping it would fix my problem, and it didn't work. The message pops up as soon as I typed in my PIN code upon starting the phone again.
Not completely sure what you mean with "rest of bands", but if you mean calling and texting, calling someone gave me a "Mobile Network not available" message, and I can't text anyone since my Messaging app has been replaced with the S5 versions, which crashes on start.

Hi ,
If factory reset did not work try:
Settings /more/Application manager/all/contacts/clear data and cache
If the problem still persist do the same with contact storage
Is going to be hard as the message pops out all the time ..but is possible , if not you will have to reflash your rom
What rom you have stock or custom?
If you got the message Mobile Network not available it may be a problem with the efs folder ( do you have a back up??)
check from the phone pad dial *#06# what IMEI you get is the one you have under the battery??

I tried clearing data and cache in contacts and contact storage, and it didn't work.
I don't think I have a ROM, I used the TowelRoot app and installed the S5 taskbar and settings, but I don't think that counts as a ROM.
I don't have a backup of my efs folder, but I haven't touched it, so if that's the problem, it must have been changed when I tried installing the Messaging app.
I tried dialing *#06# but it just gave me the "Mobile network not available" message.
If I need to flash my phone with the stock files I have a problem. I couldn't find any files for Norway.

Help: want help with wifi hotspot hack Sprint GS4 NG2

I have a Sprint galaxy S4
Model:SPH-L720
android Version :4.4.2
Rooted: Yes
Baseband: L720VPUFNG2
Build number: KOT49H.L720PUFNG2
hardware version:L720.08
So first I do see this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2256950
however I don't know which one I am should get (if any) I 90% sure my phone is Odex (I checked in system/app and there were files with .odex)
I rooted my phone with this guide
http://androidforums.com/sprint-gal...66-video-root-tutorial-l720t-l720-sprint.html
worked 100% no issues
Now I want to enable hotspot for my phone however I cannot find one for my build NG2
thx
Not 100% sure but I bet this app will work
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.googlecode.android.wifi.tether
I've been using whatever is built into cyanogenmod
thanks for the reply but sadly that link is broken
however I have tried some apps in the play store

hey thx
link still shows "We're sorry, the requested URL was not found on this server."
but the new one works
I will test it out
but though heavy forum searching I found this

and it seems to be working
time to download
Hotspot with NG2
Trekky101, did you have success with the Galaxy Tools app? I am not having success with it.
When I click on the Enable Native Hotspot button, the phone reboots.
When I click on the Wifi hotspot settings, that is just taking me to the Sprint phone settings. When I turn on wifi, then it is telling me I need to contact Sprint.
I think I need to enable the wifi hotspot in the regular Wifi Hotspot Settings, but it does not stay on due to the contacting Sprint Customer Service.
It seems the manual says to enable it and then press the Enable Native Hotspot. That series of steps does not seem to work.
My phone is a S4 with the NG2 build.
There is a working hotspot for deodexed ng2. But before you go flashing an entirely different rom, make sure you have busybox installed (search for it on the play store), this could be causing galaxy tools to not work.

Hertz,
I had the same results the first time I tried with the Galaxy Tools, until on the second try I unchecked the "auto reboot" then hit the "enable native hotspot" button, then restarted (rebooted) my S4 manually (power button)..
I had already gone to Settings/Connections/hotspot the first time and configured my SSID name and password, so I just went back to Settings/Connections/Hotspot and turned the Hotspot on, and it worked perfectly...!
Hope this works for you!
PS My S4 is the NG2 build also...

Mobile Data not working after nougat update

Hi i am having a weird issue with my sprint S7. My mobile data is not working after the nougat update. the weird thing is the LTE icon is showing on top. And if i make a Wi-Fi hotspot the device connected to my hotspot does get internet access... if anyone can help or guide me, i will be grateful. thanks
P.S. i have checked APN settings, restarted and gone to air mode and back.
This reply isn't a help but ive had quite same issue but it's my wifi! It keeps disconnecting and reconnecting after the update. UGHHH and i hate the new font.
Had the same issue, update profile, update prl, perform hands free activation and restart the phone. Worked immediately after reboot.

can you link the theards with tutorial how to do this?
Same thing happened for me. I just rebooted my device and it fixed itself.
Data was working for me, but i couldn't send or receive mms. Mine was just a issue of making the domestic data available on the settings.
Don't know where tutorial is, just go to settings system updates and you'll see the profile and prl update options. Then go back to main settings and click active this device. Then reboot.
I tried everyones advise and my phone still isn't connecting to data.

Flash the latest firmware using odin. That should fix it.
