[Poll] Use Android Web Market without rooting - Kindle Fire General

Hi, i'm redphx, the author of APK Downloader
I'm working on a new project that allows you to install apps from Android Web Market ( now is Google Play ) using push-to-device feature without having Android Market installed on your UNROOTED Kindle Fire or any devices that don't come with Android Market.
The goal is to make the installing process less painful for those people who don't know how to root or don't want to.
I make this poll to know if any of you interesting in that. This question is for stock / non-rooted users only
Sorry for my English

[Q] How to install older versions of apps from Android Market

There are a few apps that I want to keep in current version. But when the 2.1 update comes out and I have to wipe the X10, how will I be able to install these apps to the version that I have already on the phone?
The updated version of Google Maps sucks for example, and the new version of Flashlight app has ads but I would rather keep the previous version without ads.
Any easy ways of doing this? I would think rooting and making backups of the apps as .apk's might work but is there another way?
Backup with titanium i would suggest, or Google, mans best friend.

Google [Play] Market for TPT China edition?

Hi,
I am using TPT China edition. However, there is no google apps support for our devices. I manually root and installed google app for my TPT, but market won't get upgrade automatically. I can upgrade market by any other 3rd party market. After upgrade, it tells me that my device is not compatible with most apps such as Google Chrome.
I found a way to have ROW roms installed on China edition TPT. But I want to know is there any other method to make market place work instead of flashing "uncertain" rom?
Thanks

Genymotion dude

Hello how are you? with your permission I come to make a query that has to do with android what happens is that I'm trying to do some interesting things with some applications but I need to install touchwiz samsung s5 in android emulator but I have unfortunately tested and does not bring genymotion touchwiz if not the stock android my questions are three:
1. Touchwiz no way to run (maybe the apk without problem) with all applications installed on genymotion.
Two. Maybe you could emulate with touchwiz android files with one out of samobile (where samsung roms saved)
Three., Or could tell me if there is any emulator other than that you can install stock rom
Thanks and sorry if it is not in this forum is that I did not find any roms only development in general
Srorry for my bad english actually i speak spanish
I had the same problem. Helped me to completely reinstall the Genymotion.

Bypass Android 10 Go edition feature limitations?

I recently bought 2 of the new 2nd gen 7" Onn tablets with Android 10 Go Edition for my young kids. I have been able to root them with help from the wonderful people here.
Has anyone run into problems with the limitations of Android Go? Mainly it has disabled the "Draw over other Apps" permission/feature. This is mainly necessary for the childproof app locking protections I want to install.
As a work around I've have to get an old apk from a compatible app that doesn't request that permission, and this has worked so far. But I have other apps I'd like to use that don't have old apk's that work.
I assume once we finally get a full copy of Android running on one of these we won't get that feature. Just curious if anyone has another work around?
If you have them rooted, have you looked for a magisk module that might allow it? I am playing with flashing an Android 10 GSI right now. If I can get it running right I will post in the other thread I started

Root Toolbox

There are a few websites showing that Blackberry Priv can be rooted and have updated Android OS.
Install Android 10 on BlackBerry Priv | RootBox Tools
This method teaches you How to install Android 10 on BlackBerry Priv, and it's safe, secured and easy to apply update to your smartphone.
rootboxtools.com
Is this true?
Ignore those stupid sites, 99.9% of the time (regarding device root/mods) if it's not at neither XDA nor 4PDA it doesn't exist (well, maybe I'm forgetting other forum or personal website, idk).
