Hello all, I am a new user here but thought that I would share an observation
I am a developer and I released a new game tonight. The interesting thing is that when I went to release the 1.1 update the Developers Console had some new options.
Before when submitting an app I had 3 location options
- All Current and Future Locations
- United Kingdom
- United States
But tonight I now have 8 location options
- All Current and Future Locations
- Austria
- Czech Republic
- Germany
- Netherlands
- Poland
- United Kingdom
- United States
These new location options are something that were promised to developers in the 12/30/08 email that announced the plans for paid apps...
I am hoping this means paid apps are coming soon
paid apps are coming, however i think the new country list is more oriented on the countries that will get the G1 released soon...
someone posted a few days back they had a "test German g1"
and a friend in cz told me tmo over there is starting to put G1 adds.
i could be wrong though but paid apps should launch really really soon

Hi guys,
did anybody figure out how to add currency exchange rates in the stock application? I could only add stocks and indizes, couldn't find exchange rates (looking especially for EUR to chinese yuan).

for eur vs dollar

for dollar vs euro

Does this work in Manila stock tab? I was looking for this well, and i dont think it works in manila stock tab.

Yes, It does.
Just go on your local National bank and look at the codes of money you want to exchange from to.
Example US$ to euro:
USDEUR=X (where USDis $, EUR is euro =x is show me the difference)
You can find all ISO codes of these currencies on:
http://www.xe.com/iso4217.php
finance.yahoo.com makes it easy to find the links.
Look at any of the yahoo finance links, they will be formatted like this:
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=EURUSD=X
Anything after the q?s= can be typed right into the manila stock page and will work like a charm.
This works with Ticker Tape and just about any app that pulls data from yahoo.
I have rooted my Nexus One with the help in these forums. Thanks to all the devs for this!
I did read in the Rooting forum that some people have had problems seeing paid apps, so I went to see for myself. I currently live in China and using ChinaMobile carrier (edge only).
I googled for top paid apps and tried to do searches on them on my phone in the market and can't find any of them.
My question is, is it something I did wrong that also caused me not so see paid apps or is paid apps simply not supported in China yet?
Paid apps are currently only available in a few countries.

Hi I pre orderded one of these (A.I Watch Smartwatch) on their indiegogo campain but I'm a little worried it might be a scam due to seeing a watch that looks identical on some other websites that is for sale now and realised I'd seen them before I'd seen this, after I'd seen more photos of the A.I.
Has anyone here ordered it and does anyone know if I should be worried or if it is a legit campain and if it is a scam if i'd beable to get my money back if they failed to deliver?

yeah i just read that it seems to be the ax2 i saw a wial ago i didnt realise until id; seen more photos of it after I'd pre ordered >.<, and if it is a scam as it seems now do you know how i could go about getting a refund on my preorder? i hope i havent lost that money as its a lot of money to me.

Honestly I'd contact indiegogo and tell them what's going on and ask how you can get a refund. I've not donated to them before that I can recall, so I'm not sure how their policies go. Sorry I can't be more help in that department.

dam well I hope I manage to get a refund, its not like me to fall for scams I normaly see though them, like the morons trying to scam me on ebay when I've sold phones I dont use anymore etc.

I pre ordered the omate from their site after the kickstarter due to kickstarter having crappy payment options aka no PayPal and my bank card type wasnt listed :/

Just got a reply from indiegogo as I showed them the ax2 comet and that it seems to be the same thing and this was their reply.

Not necessarily vapor. The watch exists, it's just not what they claim it is. It's not made by them, it's made by a different company under a different name. And it's cheaper than they're selling them for. So, not vapor, but I'd call it a scam in my book.

I am still confused due to all the stuff making it look like a scam but indiegogo telling me their sure its not a scam. So I don't know weather to get a refund or risk loosing my $179 if it is a scam.

Dont you find it at all suspicious and the fact a lot of their promo photos are photoshopped to have the watch on them too.
I would love for this to be legit but im really worried about not getting the watch I paid for. I dont want a refund IF indiegogo will refund me if it does turn out to be a scam since you seem sure it isnt a scam.

That looks good to me. I'd guess it'll make them more concerned, at least. If you didn't already, send them links to the proof that was located already.

I sent Indiegogo everything I have and have yet to hear back. Lets just say I have a lot more than I have posted publicly as A.I. Watch now seems to be going after those that question the campaign.

I linked them to the ax2 comet and mentioned those other 2 on chinese sites and since then even seen it also labeled as a SwaP watch but itz not on the swap site?
I dont know know what will happen tho.

So he can have the money to order a couple thousand of them with little to now investment capital on his end? This would not be the first time this has been done on a crowdfunding site.
