Hello everyone I'm Italian and I'm using google translator XD I have a problem with my galaxy s vibrant, yesterday for no reason does not send more text messages as soon as I try to send messages crasch the app and the network goes away, it also happens when I arrive .... I tried reinstalling and even MIUI cambiere kernel, I did a wipe do not know what to do .... solutions? thanks in advance

I have a terriple problem with my x10i or with the back up program.
When i upgraded to .23 i restored my sms - call logs e.t.c with the back and restore application.
After a while my wife called and told me that my phone got crazy and sent all the text messages (sms) i have sent her from the time i bought the phone.
After a while a friend called me and told me the same.
As i understand the phone regonized the sms as unsent?
When i decided to go back to the .20 firmware i did the same and i had the same results All people got my sms again.
Again yesterday when i installed Home++ did the same.
If someone expirienced the same problem please advice .

my legend have an error on SMS.
I have sent a SMS to person A, and the SMS is also display on person A's SMS dislog, but after that , person B tell me that he received it, and person A didn't receive it.
does any body have this problem??
and how to slove it??
I've read about this in some news which says that it is a official failure by Google.

Yeah i've been there too.
If you long-press on the message that went wrong and select info, then you will see what number the sms went to for real.
This started when I used an app (think it was SMS Popup).
Now I only use handcent and haven't seen this problem since.
Android bug. Nothing you can do really except if you use a third party messaging app. Wait for a fix from Google.

though dhd is the best phone i ever had (have iphone,samsung galaxy tab,nokia 900, htc wildfire, se x10i, bb 9780) but i have few problems wanted to know their solution asap...
1. once i create a contact, after few days it by slf make 4-5 duplicate contact...i m really annoyed with this...cz i have to delete them again and again...
2. if a sms conversation is going on...when i reply to sms, and when the person replies me again....his sms is shown before my sms as if he sent me 2 msgs n then i replied...this also annoyes me a lot....its hard to find when the sms came...
3. the worst of all.... in the call history or in contacts or anywhere...sometimes when i touch the dial button after selecting the call...nothing happens....and suddenly after 4-5 it will call that person....damn...many time it happened to me that it called someone whom i wanted to call very urgently...but it never do so....then suddenly it calls....though dhd is very responsive...but i cant figure y it happens...
plz help me guys...i wanna know the solution of all these problems...

I've heard of those issues before with 1.72/74 but not 1.84.
Have you tried a factory reset?
i did....bt m trying once more.....lets c what happens aftr it...
the problem seems to be there only...nothing changed...even after factory reset...my contacts and sms are there....applications are downloaded again...and its giving me the option to link contact...when i likn them its like 8-9 same contact in one......i think factory reset doesnt make it new...what can be done now??

For the SMS problem use a non-stock sms app. Download GoSMS Pro or Handcent SMS. Do not uninstall the stock app but just take out the notification from stock app. I'm using GoSMS and it's better than stock IMO. You can for example backup your SMS to sd with it.
You could also try to use another dialer to correct the call problem. Go Dev team has also Go Contacts that provides you with Go Dialer. I'm using these also
For the contact thing. Have you tried to take off the Syncing of contacts from Accounts&Syncing?
Have you thought about installing a custom rom? There's nothing wrong with your phone, those are plain software issues...

well i dont want to install any custom rom...ill spent a whole day in rooting it thn a new update is gonna be available very soon...thn again ill come to custom rom...that seems to b a complete waste of time...
I had the same issue with the contacts, but once I deleted the duplicates (and not transferring from the old phone since they were already backed up on my google account)
select to view and take off SIM contacts. clears up a lot of the duplicates issues.
Search sms time fix in the market, when installed set it to use phone's time.
fixes the issue. The new 2.36 ruu doesnt fix the time issue.
The DHD will try to merge all your contacts from all your linked accounts. I had a similar problem as HTC Sense for Facebook and Twitter will run alongside the Facebook and Twitter apps. You need to check sync to make sure you don't duplicate accounts. Remove the duplicate accounts could help your problem.

i have a Xperia X8 with FroyoBread v.016 and there's a little problem with SMS.
i can receive/send SMS and MMS very well, but i think that this has a little bug. When i send a huge message like yesterday something like 30 pages ( i think it's 30 pages because it appeared 6/30 below send button )
i know it's huge but even when i send a 4 page SMS, the phone can't send it.
it says always -> message not send !
i phoned to Vodafone and they say that the huge message is send without any problem and might be a problem with the receiver. my girlfriend has a phone exactly like mine without any problems and with the same ROM. and the problem is exactly the same when she tries to send me a big message.
is this a bug or a Xperia X8 problem ? :s
by the way, excuse for any error and i'm from Portugal, Vodafone Portugal !

Try to use some other messeging app like GO sms Pro (recommended) or Handcent...
i triyed that but the problem continues. For example, when i write something with "ó" or "á" the caracters that i can write decrease a lot and i think that is the problem :s

Hope someone has a simple fix that im missing here
My partners phone is the S4, its not rooted and has everything stock ! However more recently shes been sending me texts and im not getting them - we have managed to narrow this down to "long texts" not being sent, the shorter ones come through just fine. Shes using GoSMS as am I as we can easily send pics via the GoSMS app without it becoming an MMS .
Below ive tried
Using Stock SMS app, Clearing Cache/data from GoSMS
Google'd it , however the problem doesnt seem to come up anywhere ( thats useful or appropriate )
Changed settings within GoSMS ( handling of notifcations ect if stock sms is present )
Its driving me insane ! Has anyone come across this issue ? Shes on EE network here in the UK
