You need to specify your device.
You need to read the wiki.
You need to find out who Itsme is, and read everything he's ever written, and check out his website.
Also check out Buzz's and Mamaich's rom tools. Both have source provided.

Hi everyone i have been searching here for hours trying to find some tips and pointers on how to start creating my own android os for my hd2. i seen that i am able to take other ppls roms and edit them to my needs but i dont know what the basics are. heres my ?
1. what program should i use to build
2. do i just download any stock android build to edit
3. is there any step by step directions to follow for a little while until i get use to

from 5 days and nights i try to download android froyo...or gingerbred...i found some links...i downloaded...i try to install but says all the time..MD5 missing...i want to please u to send me one link to download one of this software...and to be able to install with xrecovery (i have xperia x8)...i know i`m noob but...i need your help. Did you download the last version of these Roms??? Go to the Ratch's topic and download the last roms. If you have already did this, so ask your questions to Ratch, I think i'll be able to respond you.
