Can Samsung Build Tablet 700T use non-AT&T 3G sim? - Windows 8 General

Hi guys,
Can Samsung Build Tablet 700T use non-AT&T 3G sim? It't like Samsung Slate 7 but has 3G model. If not support, can we input unlock code or jail break it? Thanks.

Can anyone who has this device help to test? Thank you so much.

[Q] Can Xoom be used with other countries' GSM SIM card?

I'm from Thailand and I'm really interested in buying Xoom, but its Verizon-only bothers me.
I was wondering if I purchase Xoom and bring it to Thailand, where we use GSM SIM card, will I be able to use 3G from here? Does Verizon lock anything so that non-Verizon carrier cannot be used? Or is the device physically incompatible in the first place?
The hardware for verizon uses different frequencies from what you need in Thailand. Locked or not, it won't work for you. I think your best bet would be to get either a gsm version when it is released and unlock it at some point, or just go with the wifi only model.

[Q] Verizon 4G: can I use only wi-fi in Canada?

Hello,
I'm thinking of buying a Galaxy Tab 10.1 wi-fi 4G (with Verizon) 32GO.
The question I can't find answer for nowhere is this:
The 4G is set with Verizon, witch is in United States. I live in Canada. Is it possible to use that tablet only on wi-fi from Canada without an account to verizon?
If so, can I later decide to change from verizon to choose a local provider to use 4g?
Thanks a lot!

Yes the Verizon tab can be used without an active SIM card as basically just a wifi device, HOWEVER there's a couple of issues you should be aware of.
1. If you're looking to apply custom ROMs to the device from this community know that of the various versions of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 the Verizon model is the least supported.
2. Most importantly be sure that the broadband network you're intending to use the device on ultimately is actually compatible with the device. I don't believe the Verizon tab is intended to be a full fledged international device but I could be wrong. It's possible that Verizon is the only network that the Verizon version of the GT 10.1 is compatible with.
If it were me and the decision to go with a mobile broadband plan is several months away I'd go with a used wifi only GT 10.1 for now and then put it up for sale again later to buy a tablet with mobile data plan on contract or used.
Thanks for your respond!
I think I'll do as suggested, but only a wi-fi one for now... And see later!
Now.... you are talking about ROMs... I'll have to learn about that! I don't know what it means!

[Q] Samsung Slate 7 - Developer Version

The Developer version of the Samsung Slate 7 uses an AT&T sim card. Wondering if it will also work on Tmobile, or if you need an unlock code, or if there is an unlock code. I would really prefer to give my business to T-Mobile. I probably won't use it often, but since it is there .. may as well have a sim card in it... Or maybe I should just get a pay as you go card for AT&T .. Thanks for helping ...
There will probably be an at&t one and an international unlocked one

T-mobile 3g/4g operates on the 1700 and 2100 spectrum. I would find out what frequency range the tablet operates at, and that should give you your answer....

New Samsung SM-N910H Unlocked

Hey everyone. I am new to the whole factory unlocked phone game.
Recently I acquired a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 that was factory unlocked from Amazon to use abroad, however, I would like to use for Sprint or Verizon here in the US. When I put in the SIM card, the device will not work. I am curious as to what needs to be done to get my SM-N910H to work? I thought unlocked meant usable on any carrier?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

First of all, Verizon and Sprint are CDMA carriers, thus they do not use SIM cards. Unlocked devices won't work on these carriers. Return the device and you need to purchase the device from Sprint or Verizon.
Unlocked means you will be able to use it on any GSM carrier (carriers that utilize SIM cards), not CDMA.
I am aware of that, however, that statement that Sprint or Verizon does not use Sim cards in incorrect. Sprint and Verizon use UICC Sim cards. I checked my buddies Sprint Galaxy Note 4 and it has a sim card in the sim card slot in the same slot as the GSM device.

[Q] Your opinion of GSM Nation?

Hi,
I am on AT&T using a T-Mobile S5 because it's a better device to run RoMs on. Someone suggested GSM nation as a place to purchase a Galaxy S6 unlocked. I am looking for folks who have tried that, and am curious how the experience went for them. It would seem that they sold the 9000M version of the S5.
Was it updated faster then Carrier versions?
Was it limited at all by not have Carrier bloat?
How was your warrantee experience, if you had to use it?
Any other thoughts?
I suppose I can buy an S6 outright from T-Mobile and just put my Sim in it, but I thought I would explore all my options.
Thanks!
