Codename Android is a fully open source rom that focuses on speed, usability, and getting every feature that we can get CRAMMED in there .
Our mission is to spread the Open Source Android love to as many people as possible, and get as many people involved as possible. Along with the rom there will be tutorials to get more people involved and learning how to build android step by step.
We are pleased to announce the CodeName Android ROM Utility. All info about it can be found HERE as well as the download link. For now it will act as an app that will centralize all downloads for CodeName Android. There is one feature that needs to be added. The missing feature is the flashing of zips through recovery but we are working hard on this and should have it working soon.
You may use the app to download ROMs and all available add on packages or we have provided direct links below.

Security/Screen Lock is not working. If you lock the screen and immediately turn it on by pressing the power button, there is no security to unlock it, you go right into where you left off.

Looks nice ! If anyone could report about the performance (antutu) and the battery life, id consider flashing this
Ugh, tried to flash the 700 on my 705 (never tried this before) but didn't get far.
TWRP 2.8.6.2.
Thank you very much for developing for this device, it's nice to see more variety for the T700.
Thanks a lot for developing new rom for tab s, downloading and will report back about its performance
Looks like I've ran into 3 problems so far.
1. If you try to skip logging into your Gmail account to do it afterwards, Setup Manager FCs and puts you back at the Select Wifi page.
2. I cannot change music with the volume buttons, I've tried this on two different players (Shuttle and Gramaphone.) This has happen to me with roms in their early stages most of the time, so I usually just install the app Pocket Skip Track to workaround the issue until it's fixed. Works just with with the app installed.
3. Theme Manager seems to be unusable, installing icon or themes from the Play Store causes an automatic soft restart, and trying to apply either FCs the Theme Manager.
Other than that I'm loving this (Especially the more tablet like notifications.) I use to use Liquid waaaay back when I had a Droid X, nice to use it again.
EDIT: Added to the list.

This are great news!!
m.
Theme provider always fc and can you please change position to bottom, of clear recent button?
My god man, usually I really have a hard time with AOSP ROMs because they either drain so much battery, overheat the device or have lots of fc. But man, this ROM is perfect ! I like how some of the UI size has been tweaked for the tablet screen, the new sound effects are dope ! In terms of performance, everything runs perfectly. I've tried every other aosp ROMs for this tablet and this one is the only one I'm gonna consider as a daily driver ! My tablet is nit running hot and the battery is better than stock at the moment ! And I like the KitKat browser and gallery, makes everything even more smoother ! Give me your donate button, you've earned it mate Can't wait till you fix the theme FC !
Also I've noticed a real performance boost in gaming compared to Stock TW 5.0.2. I had framerate problems on Mortal Kombat X and on your Rom, the game is running at 60fps haha ****ing Touchwiz man
On screen navigation buttons seem to not fit/scale/render properly in landscape mode. Great ROM otherwise. ?

Hi thanks for the new rom support much appreciated. Couple of question if you don't mind, is the kernel permissive or enforcing? Is there a unmount feature for the micro sd card? And I know this probabally don't work but worth asking anyways, any fingerprint support? Thanks again!
Thanks boss for this great rom!
It is step up to other cm's- speed is is different like day and night. Device not heating at all, as others say...
I have some issues/ help requests if possible:
- theme engine gives FC and reboot when try to implement some other cm12 theme (will be nice to fix, to use some dark settings battery friendly theme)
- I got fc on any settings in stock browser
again thanks for GREAT PERFORMANCE rom
Is there anyway to get the DARK theme on this ROM. Thank you for this awesome work.

OrionOS is a project based on slim. The name Orion was chosen as a representation of the beauty and vastness of the world around us (Too much Philosophy, eh? ). We started this project for Falcon (Moto G), to make a stable Rom, which would include Bitsyko layers and important customization. The Rom is built with Uber toolchain which delivers awesome smoothness and includes a custom kernel built from ground-up to ensure good performance [WIP]. Needless to say, this project is a product of our hobbies and the love we bore for Android.

First!!! This ROM is stable or in beta version? bugs?
It mentions a custom kernel, and based on Slim... Does this Rom finally have a kernel which will let the Storm use CPU hotplugging, or is it still just using the default one?

thx for feedback
After a few more days use, I run into this odd bug when setting the brightness to it's lowest setting, where the screen turns completely off but the phone still seems responsive. Restarting it didn't help, the screen turned off again after it finished booting.

Good to know, thanks!
Update build - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24591000424964265 Try brightness fix. At now work OTA, and temporarily backported to stock kernel. In next update will be new kernel Foxy + new features.
I just tried that new build - no dice. It works great until I turn brightness to minimum, then the backlight seems to turn off. The phone still vibrates when I tap on the screen, so it's still registering input... Are there any other ways I can help?

If you can, enable ADB Debugging and attach logcat. For this in shell run

adb logcat

I had to reinstall it to get it to turn the screen on, but the logcat file is so big that neither XDA or Pastebin let me upload it.
Put it on Dive for now, here's the link -

Installed it, clean flash, wiped Dalvik cach, cach, data and preemptively system from ResurrectionRemix, but it just stayed on the Wileyfox boot logo for at least half an hour before I gave up.

Thanks, worked much better! I had an error saying google play services force closed on boot up but it worked fine.
The brightness issue seems to be half fixed - I can now get the screen to come back on by moving the slider back in the other direction. From what I can tell it seems the slider goes lower than the screen would normally go, to the point the backlight actually turns off. I can make a video demonstrating this if you want.

We have different camera modules. Someone in this version, camera blue pictures. You need to play with the settings. A camera that is built does not need settings and is suitable for everyone. So I decided to leave her.
@ErrorNetwork28 excited for new update with may security patches and more customisation as announced on telegram. Waiting for new build to try soon??
Take your own time to build rom. And thanks for the rom
Having issues to login on Telegram, the call is not detected can't login....

And i hope this rom really good battery backup more and more, and this one important for me which is network strength or network speed, please can you improve it and we can get the full network speed like nougat or oreo rom (LoS)
Coz i was flashed some pie rom like AEX, Havoc, Dotos, Coltos, Bootleg and they are same. For me they have a bad network speed/network strength/data speed/signal strength whatever say (FYI U= min: 0b/s max: 3-6x kb/s ; D= min: 5kb/s max: 15x kb/s)

After some time MIUI started lagging whichever version I chose, but pixel experience is great! works smoothly, battery is fine, no bugs noticed, thank you!
Phone keeps soft rebooting when im somewhere without reception. Any solutions? Otherwise its a great rom
Please enable Camera2api by default, I have checked with an app called Camera2api Probe with Shows Level 3 and No functionality towards Camera2api So plz add the feature apart from that Rom is great
And secure start-up will be awesome!!!!!!:laugh:
Rom is buttery smooth and Fast. I switched over to pixel before my phone waraanty expired. One suggestion , Please add call recording option to dialer. It's very important feature which is available to many phones like oneplus 6(which i used)...

Hello, in GPS Test or GPS Status & Toolbox apps there were no satellites. Google Maps showed me my location, but it was not GPS, only low-accuracy triangulation.

Hello,
Thx for your work but too bad you don't go the official way. Seem more "safe" to me than the rom where half the stuffs are hidden on telegram (all the other do that too). Call me old fashion but an official lineageos give peace of mind to install critical apps like bank.
Don't want to disrespect your hard work, don't say your rom is shady, i'm just a custom rom lover but not at all cost. It's just my point of view and I'm sure a lot of other will enjoy your rom, thanks again for that.

It is (mostly) a myth that unofficial roms are less safe than official ones. This is true only if the dev is not making the code public.
But this dev is clearly stating his sources in the OP just like one would do in an official rom. So you really don't have to worry about it.
Besides, once you unlocked your bootloader, you already said goodbye to "safety".
Don't care too much about official and unofficial. It's not too much of a big deal. Cheers

I gave this rom a try, for some bizarre reason, this has a better reception inside my house than the stock rom ( I have 4g where I only had 2g before). Other than that everything seems to work fine, FoD is okay.
Hi. Does this rom have ant+ firmware? I'm still using stock 11,but ant+ is missing from it since the change to android 11. You can use "Ant tester" to check it. Thank you. Regards
Is this ROM based on Chinese or EU version?
If properly installed, can I simply flash stock ROM by fastboot package when I decide to switch back? Or there is different procedure?
Thanks in advance.
All this build needs for perfection is a camera that works properly with Wide Angle. Parrot gCam would be an option, but baking it into the ROM so the actual hardware is properly supported would be ideal!

A question: how root this lineage version?

The magisk zip can be flashed from the included recovery from now onwards by using adb sideload.
For some reason fast charging doesn't work.
Also, face unlock sometimes stops working at all until next reboot

IR Blaster is a little sketchy too. Mi Remote seems to work fine, but can only partially control devices. So now with the same presets loaded, I can switch my Av reciever ON, but not OFF - and the volume doesn't work. Similar oddity with all devices, even simple stuff like a CD player I have that supports on/off play/stop - very simple.

To quickly reply to myself, latest build seems to have fixed all IR Blaster issues. Nice!
Does this ROM support smart charging and cut off as mentioned in the description?
Does Google photos detects this as a pixel device and allows free unlimited uploads?
Inbuilt call recording present?
Thanks
