I have an issue with my hd2 overheating constantly. and iv noticed a lot of you do.
I have tried almost everything other then modding the case, so if you have ideas on messing with the hardware or a case mod Id love to here them. could be a fun project.

Say goodbye to your battery life

Check out thermal pads
Sent from my Nexus S 4g using xda premium

I upgraded the thermal pad (the little rubber material over the cpu),with a piece i found on the playstation2 cpu.Now I can run my hd2 @1612Mhz without any problem

great! So my suggestion worked?

Also be careful because you can burn out the pads pretty quickly.

yes but I ve changed by myself 4 months ago so it s tested 2 months @ 1200mhz and 2 @ 1612mhz

why go for thermal pad, glue in a small aluminum piece that's the size of pad to cpu using arctic alumina epoxy
HYPERDROID EXTREEM EDITION-THE NEW BENCHMARK ROM FOR HD2.

whelp now i need a new flexboard. I guess i dont (need) my volume rocker.

What about Water cooling

buy another phone and only use the HD2 in winter....., you got a mobile-heat!

Oh its burning..
Yesterday i use my hd2 on wcdma only mode, and made a half an hour call using yahoo msnger. And after that the phone is so hot that i can make an omlet using it( kidding. But its toooooo hot). And i never used it in 3g, but have 2g here. (Even in 2g its hot after an hour of chatting or browsing) . Do any one have such issues? I have set my cpu at 998 default.
Sent from my HD2 using xda premium

I run my hd2 @ 1612mhz,you can t go over this frequency...And if I make 1 hour of call, skype, browser the phone became a little hot.I exchanged the thermal pad with a bigger one when I repaired my hd2 display
I think the hot it s normal,hd2 cpu is pretty old now, maybe we have to add a fan

Really? I saw someone in Youtube run it at 1800 Mhz

[Q] What made you get your Flipout?

For me it was the sexy azz form factor. i was in buffalo, ny. Well Me and my fiance took a trip up there. anyway we went into the att store just to "check out" new phones... Well i saw this exy beast of a phone just sitting on the wall. A square! i was like WTF?! AWESOME! and i was already in love with the charm for its boxyness so imagine the ecstasy from seeing this smoothe square with full querty keyboard. Its what sidekick used to be and what the charm is, but in a class of its own. I was with T-mobile for 6 tears running, but i switched to att THAT DAY! My Flipout was free (couldnt believe it). My Fiance princess got an iphone 4, we were both happy.
So, What made you get your flipout?
Also, is your flipout overclocked?
Same here - because it's small and it looks good.
I thought I'd read overclocking was not possible on the Flipout - is yours overclocked and does it make much difference and does it get hot or anything?
Nope not impossible, i had downloaded "milestone overclock" and i believe the stock speed is 720MHz, i had it running al the way up to 1200! (seriously not a recommended frequeency to keep it at, it will break) i only had it all the way up there to do a benckmark and get a ranking on the leader boards, and it makes a WORLD of difference, expecially under normal conditions it goes from like 700MHz down to 250MHz depending on what its doing. Ive gotten CPU set since then and i have profiles set up that save a TON of battery life by running it at 125MHz when the screen is turned off. I reccomend "Milestone" for extreme overclocking to benchmark for bragging rights, but CPU Set is much more reliable and stable and has safety measures you can set up. But yea, its pretty easily overclocked after rooting it. Lemme know if ya want to do this in case you would like any help
Cheers for the info. CPU Set sounds good, but I can't find it. Do you a link? Thanks.
He might mean setcpu, and its in the android marked. You can set profiles, etc.

ICS goes flying (about 300m up)

I wonder if I am the first person to make my Ice Cream Sandwich fly...
That is, literally. I finally got my update late last week and wanted to see what the video quality was like.. so far so good
Flown on a quad copter with the GS2 strapped to front using foam and cable ties. Since ICS, I can finally use CellBot's Sensor Data logger but sadly the video isn't 720p but D1 and only 16 FPS.

PS: It doesn't look like the embed is working for me so just in case you want to see it ... there's the link
Nice one!
Next time try setting the exposure to a fixed value, and the phone should be able to keep up with 30fps.
Pretty awesome pal!

Great. How high did it fly?

Nice
Wow, that's pretty cool
Very cool! Amazing how high you went... What kind of setup do you have? (i.e. What kind of copter/controller do you have? )

I had GPSLogger running in the background at the same time as this video was recorded and it only took 5 second (or longer) intervals. The highest point recorded was apparently 373m (according the .GPX file). I'm not too sure how well that worked as some of my points were underground when plotted in Google Earth .. odd. Also, I don't know if the recorded elevation is the high above sea level or ground.
I would really like to record how high she flies but it's high enough that the quad is becoming more like a speck tananhig distinguishable! I wonder if the GS2 has a barometer / atmospheric pressure sensor...
The setup..
Flight controller (FC)
KK+ 5.5e multicontroller with the MEMS gyros and Accelerometer upgrades
4x 924Kv Keda brushless motors (180W)
4x 25A Speed controllers
2x 2300mAh LiPo battery
Aluminium / Fiberglass frame.
Spektrum DX7 + AR6100 receiver
I can send pics / details of where I got my bits if anyone is interested

His account is disabled atm, so I don't think it matters at all now He's complained quite a bit on a kernel thread about it already, and was already presented with an option to change the throttling on his own (perhaps someone should just send him that method that was already mentioned and get $50 lol), but still proceeded to "troll".
In any case, disabling thermal throttling is... probably not ideal. Tweaking it slightly may help, but totally disabling it will probably just lead to some part of the device not taking kindly to the heat (I imagine the LCD screen first, followed by the back plastic).
If you have a modified back and heatsink solution though, I'd say go for it (not that I'm responsible for whatever might happen though).
Well, I, for one, would be entertained by seeing pictures of the back of an N10 with a nice big molten bulge on the case over where the Exnos used to be.

What's "girlies" got to do with anything?? Are you implying that girls are happy with small and slow?? Judging by your probable life experiences, you should know that's not true.
I only wish op could see desktop cooling systems. My gaming rig has (and most people's) have massive cpu heat sinks. Laptops have the same problem as this. Surely bypassing the heat sensors that protect your processor and your tablet will eventually lead to you melting your processor.

I have laptops from 2003 and 2006 that did not throttle... they did run pretty hot too. My friend has a gaming laptop too that also, does not throttle.
I'm sure the chip itself has some kind of rated max temperature, but the chip itself is not the only thing to worry about. You have the back plastic, that flimsy piece of plastic around the camera area, the LCD screen, other neighboring chips, etc.
A heatsink would direct the heat of the chip, safely past any other component of concern, but a (decent) heatsink does not exist on the N10. I would of just put some kind of heatsink thing across the entire top part of the tablet (where the detachable plastic is), since, under normal use, you hands don't go up that high anyway. That way, heat wouldn't just be built-up in one concentrated area, but who knows, maybe there is some reason Samsung chose not to do it that way.

Nexus 6P Become Warm

Dear All,
I have Nexus 6p 32 G Graphite,
When my Normal use like browsing ,watching you tube, and Facebook .... etc , I noticed the device become warm especially the spot between camera and fingerprint sensor I used cpu temp to read the cpu and battery temperature :
-Normal use (for 10 minutes)
---------------------------------------------------------------------
cpu : 35 - 46 Celsius (98.6 - 114.8 Fahrenheit )
battery : 35 Celsius (95 Fahrenheit )
- During play games with high graphics (like NEED FOR SPEED No Limits ) temp were:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
cpu : 55 - 69 Celsius (131 - 156.2 Fahrenheit )
battery : 39 Celsius (102.2 Fahrenheit )
DO I need to replace my device ?
Any suggestion
Thanks in advance
Doubt it, processors get warm fact, remember u have apps running in the back ground too, end them all and try again, will probably cool down
seems like a perfectly normal device. it's a metal body so you probably feel more warmth from the processor working hard. this phone showed lowest temperature among other SD810 processor equipped devices. you can search on youtube for temperature test. there are some comparison videos as well. you'll enjoy it.

sorry for the late reply, was little busy at the moment.
here is an article about it: http://www.androidcentral.com/does-nexus-6p-get-hot

my nexus 6p become heat
Thanks for the information, according to this part of article my nexus 6p is not running normal with the heat
"The Nexus 6P immediately jumped to 102 degrees when the benchmark started, but never got above 104.5 degrees during the benchmark. At this point you could feel the fingerprint sensor area was a little warm, but the rest of the phone was still plenty comfortable to hold. Running the benchmark again saw the temperature climb to 106 degrees, but never any higher and at no point did the phone give any thermal warnings"

[Q] Glue on screen

As in the title, anybody have loads of glue residue on the screen after taking off the screen plastic?
Got mine today and have just spent an hour getting it all off, though there's still residue left. I've never experienced this before on a new phone.

That sucks. Sounds like it spent some time in a hot environment that made the adhesive gooey. I hope that doesn't happen with mine (when I get one).

Yeah, a bit disappointing, it took that new phone feeling away a bit. On the plus side though, now I've played around with the phone, I'm really enjoying it. It's very fast and I've not come across any bugs so far.

Yeah, that's no fun. Good news on the rest though. How is the cell signal? That was my big concern with the Axon 7. Actually my current motoXP gets pretty mediocre reception and GPS signal losses too. I heard battery life was just epic. One reviewer got 11 hours of SOT!! I'll be happy if I can even manage half of that with one given the heavy navigation I use daily.

So far no trouble with signal, on EE in the UK, but not gone anywhere atm. I want to test wifi notifications when it's deep sleep, because the max 2 has trouble with that.
No problem with mine. Every thing perfect until now.
I guess mine was one off since no one else reporting it, I've certainly not seen it before. It's almost as the plastic screen protector was re glued on.

Nice to hear that you enjoy your new device!
As the specs and the price are really astonishing, I am also thinking about ordering it. For me only one question is left open: does the Le Pro 3 really have a NFC chip (like stated in the specs)?
Could you maybe just shortly try to install any NFC reader app (like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nxp.taginfolite) and test if it works? (I am a developer working with NFC, so missing NFC would be a deal-breaker for me.)
Many thanks in advance!

Thanks to both of you!
@sytayeth: using the Taginfo app you just installed you can try to read any NFC capable smartcards (for example: tap'n'pay banking cards, or wireless access cards, etc.). Just take any NFC card and hold it to the back of your phone while the app is opened. Also if you have 2 NFC capable Android phones you can send the content displayed on one device to the other, just by holding them close to each other (back to back).
"NFC" stands for near field communication and is a wireless standard for small distances, usually only a few centimeters.
Btw, is there anywhere any ROM for this phone available for download? I would like to unpack it and check which NFC drivers it uses (to find out which NFC chipset they use).
[update]
I already found 2 download links to two different ROMs here on XDA (and looked into them):
Chinese/English Stock ROM
A shop ROM apparently packed by grossoshop.net (according to the link-URL and the included bootscreen)
