[Q] How to change hardware keyboard layout (external BT keyboard)? - Blade General

I have this Keysonic KSK-3202 BT mini keyboard, which I am trying to use with my ZTE Blade CM7.2-RC0, but since it is the QWERTZ version, and there is no option for changing the (hardware) keyboard layout in CM7, it acts like a QWERTY keyboard.
On my SE X10 mini pro I have the app "Mini ROM Manager", which is capable of changing the hardware keyboard layout, but that app is specifically for the SE X10 mini pro, and does not offer that functionality when run on the ZTE Blade.
So how can I change the hardware keyboard layout on the ZTE Blade?

change WM keyboard layout ?

I have a ww english version of the Touch 3G
The HTC software keyboard (called "Full QWERTY") nicely follows regional settings, and hence displays the AZERTY layout matching my language
The WM OS software keyboard (called "Keyboard") keeps defaulting to QWERTY...
But here comes the trick: I have an "old" bluetooth foldable keyboard (was working fine with my QTEK S100), that I am trying to use with my Touch 3G; the layout of this hardware keyboard is AZERTY.
2 options, 2 problems:
option #1: use the latest drivers available for the keyboard (which is no longer supported by the manufacturer); unfortunately, the drivers apparently don't like wm 6.1 and cause crashes in the services.exe module.
option #2 : have the keyboard recognized by wm 6.1 as standard HID BT device ("Think Outside Keyboard"): that works, despite some functionality loss I can live with, but the keyboard layout is wrong, b/c the device OS is ww english, and hence the layout is QWERTY, regardless of the regional settings....Apparently, this follows the logic of the WM OS software keyboard, not the HTC soft keyboard...
Question: in order to make option #2 work: I would need to tweak the OS to use the AZERTY keyboard layout instead of the default QWERTY... any way to accomplish that ?

Can you advice which version of FingerKeyb 2.1 work perfect in HTC Touch 3g (Jade).
Although, Jade already have Full Qwert keypad, which is quite comfortable, but it gets deformatted once I manually change the orientation to Landscape (using QuickMenu).
So, basically I'm looking for a keypad similiar or better than Full Qwerty Keypad to use in Landscape orientation.
Thanks in advance!!

You can try this one:

The landscape-mode is very good, IMO, but you have to buy it after a free trial-time.

how to change Bluetooth keyboard layout?

I have succesfully paired a Nokia SU-8W Bluetooth keyboard with my HD2.
However the Nokia keyboard layout is Scandinavian (Finnish/Swedish) and unfortunately my HD2 does not recognize this.
Is there any possibility to also configure the HD2 settings to match this Scandinavian keyboard layout?
(P.S. I am using Fingerkeyboard 2.1 with touch screen Scandinavian layout, but does not in any way help with the Bluetooth keyboard layout problem)
No way so far, have to wait for a compatible version of Teksoft Blueinput.

when you press a button, does it use the english layout? if so, you can remap them.
Yes, the keyboard works without any problem when typing. The only issue is with the wrong characters for some keys.
Do you have a link to a thread where the key mapping is explained?
Hi Honkapuro,
Please, tell me how did you do to pair your su-8w on windows mobile.
I can't do it on my Omnia II...
thanks

Keyboard on X10 Mini Pro

Hi, have just begun to use my X10 Mini Pro. Very satisfied as such but frustrated in the use of the HW keyboard. Specifically, I am having problems generating "non-English" letters, such as Å, Ä and Ö. On the keyboard there is a key labled "Sym/âü", all this does, however, is bring up smileyes, pretty much. Anyone know how to generate these other letters from the keyboard?
Thanks/M

[Q] Hardware keyboard, non US keyboard layout

Hi, i have LG Quantum with Mango. And I need to use not only English keyboard layouts(English, Russian etc). Using hardware keyboard was a prior goal in my phone. I try many manipulation with configuration but find out that only English and German keyboard layout can be switched on hardware keyboard. On-screen keyboard work perfect. But even when i'm on software keyboard switch to Russian, and than open hardware keyboard its automatically switch to English layout. May be there are any option to edit registry or some DLL's to use other layouts in hardware???
Thanks

Second layout for physical keyboard

Hi all,
I've been playing around with my wife's MS2, running Tezet's CM10. I've been trying to get her phone to be able to have two seperate keyboard layouts for the physical keyboard, namely English (QWERTY) and Hebrew.
So far the only solution I've found is to use AnySoftKeyboard with the Hebrew plugin from the market which allows me to change the layout on the soft keyboard and then when I pull out the physical keyboard the layout remains as selected. Any other keyboard (stock or otherwise) that I've tried reverts back to QWERTY when using the physical keyboard, although once I shut it the soft keyboard remains as selected.
Isn't there any way to have the same behaviour as AnySoftKeyboard on the stock keyboard or even better, on Swiftkey? Or some other way of doing it?
Thanks for any help!
Edit: Posted here and not on the CM10 thread because this has been the case on every ROM I have tried...
