Hi,
I have a same problem.

Ok... do you resolved it ?
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using xda premium

Me too. I've caught my transformer rebooting a couple of times since I've been ICS. Plus, battery seems to drain faster now, on standby...
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium HD app

have the same issue.
happened twice in two days. each time tf was on battery power, i also have not performed a factory reset after installing ics (anyone did it and still have reboots?)
in my case tf does not manages to boot, gets stuck on Asus logo.

I have the same problem.
Two times since Friday evening.
The first time, it was a black screen and I had to reboot the transformer.
I did a factory reset but no effect because, for the second time, it restarted during the night

It could be.
A lot of people who did factory reset do not have problems. Including myself.

Guys, I don't know what happened to you, but for me upgrading to ICS was really marvelous. It is now as smooth as silk, movements so flowing.
I was with Paul's Spark, upgrade using CWM, after cleaning all (dalvik, cache and factory reset!). Restored previous installed porg+data using TB
Nothing disappoints me, my "new" TF101.

Well I don't know. I just picked up my tablet yesterday and it was hanging on the reload screen so I think it rebooted it selfs since I didn't do it. After holding the power button for 10 sec or so it rebooted and now its fine. I think it was Google Earth that was running in the background. ****tys app ever seen...... this was also was a huge problem for me on android 3.2

Same problem here, random reboots, and wifi problem, waiting for a fix

For me everything works really well (smooth ,fast, etc) , only reboots are the issue.
It looks like Asus released on 24th an update to prime to resolve reboots so those might be a common problem. Will wait for a patch.

Anybody have same problem, have you got Prime Battery Widget and/or ICS TaskManager Widget ?
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using xda premium

Count me in the company I`m also facing only this issue. 3 reboots after updating on Friday. BTW updated without wiping. But I have feeling that this is not the case Just wait and somebody will come here who wiped before update and have the same issue. And I am not going to wipe thanks to xda and this thread, because I read, that it did not`t help. I was one step away before wiping
All in all ICS update is superb except this little issue.

Everyone who has this issue please report it to ASUS. Complaining here will not help get it fixed. http://vip.asus.com/eservice/usa_techserv.aspx

I did a factory reset and I am also sufering this.
So I don't beleive factory reset will be a solution.

You guys should also mention if you are rooted or not.
Anyway...if you are rooted...perform a format...not just a wipe.

Same problem here and the tab is very hot because of the looping reboots. I've had problems charging too.

My stock B50 has never rebooted since ICS, I left it plugged on the charger while it was upgrading until I heard the beep and the lock screen came on. All systems are go, no issues to report.

Damn ics ..help..

Well all of a sudden after not touching it all day its flashing on off the Asus screen. Did the reboot holding power and down and select restart android .. no luck. Ill try reformating .. all I did today was a factory reset this morn.

OK so while its flashing all I have to do is hold the volume down and goes to the menu. Tried wipe data but start it then back to flashing.

I am having the same issues with many others in the forum if you open some of the other threads. I fixed the stuck Asus screen by simply holding down the power button till it hard resets.
Many of us noticed that the random reboot happens during deep sleep of the device.
Hopefully we will get another OTA fixing the random reboot issue like what Asus did for the TF Prime users.

Some how I had the android Guy show up and reinstall ics and seems fine. Also the wife's was powered down and had to reset hers. But it wasn't rebooting like mine. Wish they would have waited longer.

Help, sleep of death

My 300 has been working perfectly up until now, but its suddenly acquired sleep of death. I have root, oveeclock, and the tweak from development. Tried uninstalling new apps etc... even widgetlocker...

How can I retain root through a full reset? What a bummer
Thanks guys
Note I'm on my phone now...

First cold boot resulted in a freeze, now it results in a gutted droid.... Worrying. It will boot normally but won't shut down... Not even for a factory reset. Any sleep crashes it
Stressing out

Pulling my micro sd has enabled ito do a factory reset, but still can't cold boot.
Sod seems fixed so far, but no cold boot worries me. And why would my sd cause these problems?

Still live blogging this fun. Cold boot works, I had been pressing up on the rocker... Silly me. What is falling there though?
Sent from my VS910 4G using XDA
Swapping two external cards quickly seems to have caused sleep of death. Now my external doesn't work in the 300 (haven't tried it in a computer yet). The 300 seems ok short of the other problem (up during cold boot causes gutted android). Thanks guys

I have done the cold boot a couple times. Once the cold boot option pops up you are given two choices. "Android" is the default which cold boots into Android. If you hit your volume rocker while on that screen you'll switch to the other option which is a data wipe (aka factory reset). Just a possibility as to what happened once you got into the cold boot screen.
When switching SD cards you do need to click the setting to unmount. Not sure it is necessary to turn off, but definitely unmount. You may have done that but I thought I'd mention it as a possibility.
Hope your Pad stays working now.

You might be on to something there, I did remove the card without ejecting, so I could understand data corruption/loss. However, why would a corrupted card cause sleep of death?
I see the two options under cold boot, but i had rocked up when the text first appears. I have now Successfully cold booted, but can't wipe data (dead android) Should I load a blob file? Are they like tots on LG? Hope it's simple software problems, not anything serious. If so, I have to swap it soon, and so far this one has been golden
Thanks for bearing with me

you don't have to press any option to cold boot. you power off, then hold power & volume down until prime reboots and you see white lettering up top. then let go. don't press anything. the prime will tell you if a choice is not made, it will automatically cold boot Linux aka Android.

post this issue in the developers thread on that tweak. you can also look in my thread for prime for help also. there's some tips n there and some other people came across same issue as you. just click on the link in my signature.
I'm inclined to think it wasn't the build.prop hack causing SOD, as I swapped back to original without it fixing it. At least for me it didn't cause it...?

Yes can not do anything. can not format or turn on or turn off my TF300, and now can not use it , I am finding a way to fix but still not find it, someone plz help plz...
Bad SD Card or corrupt files
The SOD on my Asus TF300T is 100% caused by a bad sd card or file(s) on the card.
Backup the card to your computer.
Erase/Format using your current android system.
Reboot and SOD ought to be gone.

Random reboots using the camera?

Hey all,
As the title says: I'm having random reboots while using the camera. First it freezes for about 3 seconds and then hot boots into the Nexus logo. It happened 3 times over the past month so it isn't bad, but still not as it should. I'm on unrooted stock.
Any experiences/tips?

Yes I see I failed to read the last sentence haha. I would also recommend a factory reset.

I also thought that would be the eventual outcome, but I'm really not into that . I guess I can live with it then and I will unlock my bootloader when I get sick of stock so things will be alright .

Unlocked my bootloader and thus did a factory reset, but it still happens at times. Any ideas?

Same problem at some devices at a hungarian forum. Mine does it some time. We are afraid of hardware problem.
Edit - just noticed the date on the OP ...
Have you tried re-flashing the stock ROM? It would be worth a try.

I had this problem on a DHD. Althought this is not a dhd the problem might be the same.
That was battery related. When i changed the bad battery, my problems went away.
Usually if your phone reboots during camera shots, it means the battery is borked. RMA it man.
Is it confirmed battery related?

Who knows... I got it as well, I notice it happens while focusing with flash and/or taking photos with flash for long time then it got reboot (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46312752) got it on stock camera app, with camera 360 tried the same situation and no reboot at all...
Maybe the flash warm the cpu or something which cause the reset...my battery temperature seems fine as I monitoring it.

Hi, Do you have a custom recovery installed? Reason Im asking is because I have difficulties to reproduce the problem after flashing a 4.3 factory image.
Edit: Im not sure what kind of impact a custom recovery could have. I have reproduced the issue on cm 10.1.3, Cm 10.2 and a stock rom flashed via cwm. But as I said, I have problems to reproduce it after flashing 4.3 factory image.

No mate, I'm on stock clean (without root/open bootloader) as it comes from google play 4.2.2 (I even didn't update to 4.3 just to check the stability of this version).
Now I got it again, I can confirm its nothing to do with 'heat' or anything about hot cpu...the device was cold. At this time also wifi was off so if someone had a thought...its nothing to do with it.
Seems its some bug with the stock camera app and/or gallery app... Shots only 2 photos with flash, take a look at the gallery and it got freeze and reboot.
Maybe the option to move from gallery to camera with only swiping...donno... Anyway its happening only when flash on so its weird....
Do you got this reboot only with macro flash photos or any type of flash photos?
Again, tried camera360 with more flash shots at macro and seems works without any problems , also Ive found it more accurate then stock one, eventough I like the stock app.
Has anyone found the problem cause I'm also having this same problem. Its happened three times, two of the times it was when focusing with flash. The phone just froze and rebooted. I did notice that before it rebooted I heard the camera aperture shutter a few time really quick and the the phone rebooted. The other time it was when I went from camera to gallery and zoomed in on the picture I had just taken.
I maybe thought it was the ROM problem but to hear you say its happened to you on stock ROM and not rooted my not sure what it is. If it matters I was on AOKP 4.2.2 and cm10.1.2 ,cm10.13.

Screen unresponsive

Basically, my N7's screen is frequently unresponsive. I was trying to start something in my launcher, and tried pressing it at least 6 times, but nothing happened. Then I tried swiping between launcher pages, and that worked just fine the first time.
This just started happening on an almost constant basis within the last 30-60 minutes, and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this, or heard of anyone else experiencing it. I'm running the latest Minimus with Jassy's latest kernel (I just flashed them this morning, but it was probably 4-5 hours ago at least), with the DPI set to 290 (I just raised it from 280 to see if that would help anything). I also cleared the cache and dalvik.
Any ideas?
My girlfriends tablet has done that too, then it just randomly goes back to just fine

I've only experienced this using Chrome. it got so bad that I'm using the molasses-in-the-winter-going-up-hill Firefox browser just to be able to web surf.

It happened to me as well (complete stock). Mostly (if not all) instances were with Chrome. I don't remember it happening again since I switched to Chrome beta. (Fingers crossed).
I just took mine back to Best Buy and exchanged it for the 32gb model. The guy at the store asked if anything was wrong with the tablet and I told him that it would freeze up and I would have to reboot in order to fix it. He told me that all tablets and phones freeze like that and that I should reboot the device at least once a day to prevent the freezing of the screen. I thanked him and told him that I would do that. These salesmen must think that everyone is as dumb as they are.
I hope my new tablet doesn't have the same problem, because if it does I might give up on the new nexus 7.

Nexus Rebooting?

Hi all,
I am currently on Cleanrom 1.3 with faux kernel. No overclock. Today I took my nexus off the charger and it rebooted itself. I understand that using custom kernel and rom will cause some instability but I've heard that the newest nexus 7 does have random reboots stock. I am still under return period, and I am just wondering if anyone else had experienced this and will you keep this knowing it might be a software issue.

I am on stock.
I had a reboot problem with mine. It showed about %50 battery life when it would first startup, then suddenly it would reboot, and continue the boot loop. I reset/clear cache and it would still happen. Then I fully charged the battery then it worked again. I exchanged it because I don't want to deal with the hassle and did not find anyone else with this problem. Only had 2 more days to return it, so I went for it.
I think the problem I actually had was the battery, it was reporting to the device that it was about 50% when it probably had none. I kept wondering why after so long of heavy usage the battery wasn't ran down already. Since you just took it off the charger, I don't know about your case.
Hopefully I won't see the problem with the exchanged one. I say, if you suspect a hardware issue, replace it. If it is a software issue, maybe they will fix it with an update. Good luck.
Mine reboots allot on stock, very annoying!
