Rooting your Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100
This guide is thanks to capaxdoli, I have just modified it slightly to make it easier to read
If you use this guide to root your phone please go and thank him here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1126522
Also please give this page a read it is the basics of rooting and should be considered the starting point for all learning to root - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1125282

1. Make sure your phone has kies 2 and have it install all the drivers.
2. Connected phone for the first time to computer and kies 2 and it recognized it fine.
3. Make sure Kies 2 is also fully updated.
4. The details of my phone are as follows: (please check what yours are)
Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100 (only use on i9100)
Fireware – 2.3.4 (it will work on all 2.3.x Firmware)
Kernel = XXKI4 (the important bit is the Ki4)
You can find all this info out in Settings – about phone
5. A prayer to My Lord for safe rooting
6. Go to this page and read all, then select the Kernel that is a match to yours – here – http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399
7. Since I have Ki4, i had chosen to download this file [CF-Root-SGS2_XW_ODD_Ki4-v4.0-CWM4.zip]
8. Downloaded odin3-v1.85.zip here - http://www.mediafire.com/?wezzl287wb9v9hu
Extract and open the file (no installation...gasp!)
Open and run Odin ready to root your phone
Now select PDA and find the kernel that you downloaded and select
9. You might need to extract the kernel to select it in the PDA
10. Put your phone in download mode (press volume down + ok key + power on), a warning about custom OS flashes, press volume up key to continue.
11. You have pressed volume up key and the phone says that it has entered ODIN mode. it also says the following:
a. product name: GT-i9100
b. Custom Binary Download : No
c. current binary : Samsung Official
d. it also shows the android logo (the robot - big size) and says downloading...Do not turn off target !!
12. After this connected the phone to the computer (remember it is in download mode) and the drivers were installed again.
13. Go to Odin and you should see that under ID.com, there is a yellow background box and it says 0:[COM13]. in the message box (lower left corner) it says <ID:0/013> Added!!
14. Make sure the re-partition box is not checked in odin.
15. Clicked the start button...
16. The phone should install your new kernel and then re-boot it should show a yellow exclamation mark when it reboots.
17. That’s it your phone is now rooted –

Yes it will work on 2.3.6

Yes there already are A LOT of threads about rooting ... AND there are much easier way to get root than the one you explain!
This is especially handy if you'r new to this and just want root access to your stock SGSII:
[ROOT]How to ROOT Galaxy S2! [1-Click Root][Video Tutorial][No Odin required]

Seems pretty complicated with all those steps and there are easier methods i think.. but thanks anyway =]

I used the Easy rooting toolkit (v4.0) made by DooMLoRD. It works and as it is named really easy.

- install driver on PC
- download odin
- download rooted kernel
- open odin and select PDA and find the kernel
- put your phone in download mode
- start

But some of us don't like ODIN, or would prefer to do it in another way, or want to keep our existing ROM.
Like me for example... I'm quite happy with the regular SGS2 ROM, doubt that I have anything to gain with a custom ROM, and just want to be rooted...

Then use jig to get rid of triangle and reset flash counter to 0.
Might seem like a few steps but after you have done it once the next times will only take a minute or two.
Don't like Odin or don't want to use it? Well I bet at some time you do use it. Odin doesn't use an exploit, it's a flashing tool so you can be more confident that the flashed kernel will work to root your phone.
Once you have root don't forget to do a nandroid backup using CWM. Restoring a backup is the easiest way to downgrade from things like ICS.
Happy rooting and flashing....

Do it again and follow the instructions .
- Make sure your device is in USB debugging mode: Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB debugging
- Reboot your device into download mode: Turn the device off, then power it on again by pressing and holding VolumeDown + Home + Power simultaneously. You will know when you are in download mode, it is really obvious
- Start ODIN
- Connect the device to your computer using USB
- Wait a few seconds, the ODIN screen should show you that a device is now connected
- Make sure that in ODIN NOTHING is checked, except the "Auto reboot" and "F. Reset Time" checkboxes. Press the "PDA" button, and select the "XWKDD_insecure.tar" file.
- Press "Start". ODIN you should now be flashing the kernel, and the device should reboot.
- Wait until the device is rebooted, and while still being connected over USB, start SuperOneClick, and press ROOT.
- Reboot the device
- Done !

Thanks for the quick reply,
thats the same file i flashed. I re-downloaded the file from the link you posted and flashed again in Odin. Same result I can confirm the phone is in usb de-bug, the phone was turned off and started in the download mode (black screen) I got pass ok in Odin. The phone restarted afterwards but i get the same. When the program gets to this stage it locks up and has to be ended by task manager. Im running windows 7 x64 pc with i7850 processor ddr3 ram..
on the tut the file is called XWKDD_insecure.tar inside the rar file on the post its called zimage with no extension, i had to manually add the .tar to get odin to view it.

Any suggestions?

Why did you extract a tar file to make a tar file the instructions are to Flash XWKDD insecure .tar . as PDA through Odin
Long guide (for beginners)
- Download the attached ODIN file and extract the .zip file
- Download the attached XWKDD, but do NOT extract the .tar file

so no problem at all!!
Hey guys , I rooted my SGS2 with XWKDD_insecure.tar and superoneclick.
Everthing worked fine.
But after a while I found out, that I couldn´t make any videos with the device´s camera. All new recorded vids couldn´t be played. Message "unrecognised file type".
So, I decided to get some other ROM. I wanded to flash the litening 2.0 Rom and flashed it with odin.
But no flash changed my device. Yesterday I had thousands of konversations with experts from a german android forum. noone could held me.
Every odin flash seemed to finish correctly with PASS. But after reboot, my device always has the same state, the same kernel version, all installed apps after my rooting were gone, messages, images... all were gone, except these I had on my device before the rooting I did.
If I install e.g. CWM Manager and select the action "boot into recovery mode", I only can see the Options "reboot now", "install update from sd", "wipe data" and "wipe partition".
All data saved by my device, doesn´t stay on it, after i rebooted it.
It looks like after every boot, my device loads a special recovery point, like system recovery on e.g. Win XP.
Anybody an idea?
Nobody here who can help me with this problem? ...
Hello Humphrey,
when you boot into recovery, you can see ' update.zip' , usually that is cwm. Rom manager installs update-zip before you can use rom manager. Install update.zip via rom manager just incase that update-zip is not cwm, unless you know it is. When you install update-zip, via recovery and it comes back as unable to verify zip, then you are not rooted.
The cwm will allow you to format the caches and system, delvik and battery and then allow you to install a complete rom with a rooted kernel. To be quite honest, Oden could brick your phone because you are using 2 hardwares, computer and phone. I have found it easier to download a zipped rom to your sd card and use cwm to flash it. Remember to format everything I said but not usb or sd. I have found Designgears Cognition 1.13 rom, not 1.15, to be ideal. I also use Zeam desktop, which I find ideal. Cognition is already rooted. Rom manager has glitches, so I don't use it to reboot into recovery or anything else but to look at roms, which I don't download via rommanger. Also, I'm fed-up with downloading stock roms and then having to find a rooted rom and using Odin.
I hope you find this useful.

[Tutorial] Rooting the Vibrant with KB5 Update

Okay, first and foremost, by posting this tutorial I am not taking any responsibility if you brick your phone. This worked for me, and it should work for all US based Vibrant (3G) T959 models with the latest 2.2 update (KB5).
NOTE: Rooting and/or installing another recovery WILL void the warranty.
What you will need...
1. SuperOneClick v2.1.1
2. Cmenards's OverStock Kernel with ClockworkMod Recovery
3. Heimdall Suite (Go To CyanogenMod Wiki for Vibrant to download as it is over 8MB in size and won't upload here)
Please get all of these first.
Now, first step in the actual process... Thanks to Cyanogen for the tutorial on this part.
Windows ONLY:
1. Power off the Samsung Vibrant and connect the microUSB to the computer but not the Samsung Vibrant.
2. Boot the Samsung Vibrant into download mode by holding down Volume Up & Volume Down while connecting the USB to it.
3. Run the included zadig.exe in the drivers folder of the Heimdall Suite.
4. From the menu, choose Options » List All Devices.
5. From the drop down, select Samsung USB Composite Device or Gadget Serial.
6. Click Install Driver.
NOTE: A prompt may appear warning that the installer is unable to verify the publisher of the driver. Ignore it and select "Install this driver anyway."
7. Heimdall can now be used safely on the Windows computer.
8. Create the following folder on the root of the internal SD card, Voodoo/disable-lagfix (case-sensitive).
9. Unzip Cmenard's Overstock Kernel.
10. Launch the Heimdall Frontend.
11. Select the extracted zImage in the Kernel (zImage) section.
12. Power off the Samsung Vibrant and connect the microUSB to the computer but not the Samsung Vibrant.
13. Boot the Samsung Vibrant into download mode by holding down Volume Up & Volume Down while connecting the microUSB to it.
14. Click Start on the Heimdall Frontend. A blue transfer bar will appear on the phone showing the kernel being transferred. The device will reboot automatically.
The Samsung Vibrant now has ClockworkMod Recovery installed. Continue to the next section.
Part two of the procedure...
1. Extract the SuperOneClick file.
2. Open the SuperOneClick executable in that extracted folder.
3. Put your phone in Debug mode. (Settings --> Applications)
4. Connect your USB to the computer and the device.
5. Click Root and Wait (The phone will not restart).
6. Turn the phone off.
7. Boot into the recovery (hold the volume up+down while pressing the power button. let go of the power button when you see the samsung vibrant boot screen)
8. Scroll the list with the volume up or down buttons. The power button selects the item.
9. Select "advanced".
10. Select "fix permissions"
11. When it says finished, select "+++++Go Back+++++"
12. Select "reboot system now".
13. Open Android Market -> Search for Superuser -> Update
14. Search for "File Explorer" -> choose eStrongs (free and has root) -> Install
15. Open ES File Explorer -> Menu -> Settings -> Scroll to the bottom and check Root Explorer -> Check Mount File System
16. Press back button -> click the SD Card icon in the top left of the app
17. That will put you in the root. Go to system-->app and remove ONLY the bloatware you don't want (ie.. Slacker Radio, Avatar player, GoGo)
18. Exit the File Explorer and open the Market
19. Get the BusyBox installer from Stephen and install
20. Open the BusyBox installer you downloaded and follow the instructions.
After all is done, the annoying system apps you didn't want will be gone. The phone will be rooted. It will have the clockwork recovery and still be the official ROM.
NOTE: The only reason to remove the bloatware is because you must have at least 1600KB of free space in the /system folder of the device. If running the official KB5 rom, there is only about 560KB free. This frees up the space needed for the BusyBox installer to install BusyBox.
I am all for new guides/information and helping... curious though...
do you feel this is easier than just using odin to get back to jfd
moving the update.zip and rom to the internal sd
getting in stock recovery, pressing reinstall
flashing a rom
EDIT, emphasis, I am honestly not trying to sound like a ****... REALLY happy to see others taking the time to write out such good detail.
stock kb5 recovery will not open the update.zip. it gives an error every time i have tried.
^ needs the modified 3E. Another reason I like to ODIN to JFD.

The main reason for the tutorial is because it is very difficult to find working links to the original 2.1 vibrant which allowed SuperOneClick to work out of box. I did find that it was easier than hunting down many different applications/files and most of this can be done from the PC.
This was also for those that wanted to keep the actual official 2.2 (KB5) rom on the vibrant, but have root access. I have tried using the update.zip method with the modified 3e only to find that a lot of the permissions get messed up. The only way that I was able to get the update.zip to work in establishing root was to actually use Odin to downgrade to the 2.1 rom. As soon as I used Keis to update to the new 2.2 rom (KB5) it would loose root and the ClockworkMod recovery.
After much trial and error, I found out this solution is a lot more stable (for me) to achieve root on the KB5 official rom.
If there is a better way, then I was not able to find an actual tutorial from here that stated how to perform root on the KB5 rom without it having permissions problem.
Don't worry about sounding like a ****. I didn't take it that way.

I understand your affinity for Odin and JFD, but this tutorial is about having a rooted KB5. Sorry to sound like an ass here... regardless of your affinity for Odin/JFD, this is not the topic to shout that affinity.
This is for rooting the KB5 rom. If others wish to downgrade to the JFD, awesome. That is not what this thread is about. It is about a rooted KB5.
Not sure if I made that clear or not in the main tutorial, but this will give you a rooted KB5.
^ wow. Just letting that person know what their issue was while pointing out that if they went to JFD and had the 2E recovery it would not be an issue... pointing out how to fix something and giving an alternative.
I don't consider JFD a downgrade, because nobody stays on it... it's to root and flash a custom ROM... most of which are now going to gingerbread, CM7 and MIUI builds... an upgrade from KB5.
Someone could just as easily root 2.1 and flash a deodexed stock kb5 with root. There are MANY ways to do things.. I applauded you and have only offered other suggestions. I'll regress if you just don't want people to post here.

I apologize if I did come off as an ass. Bad couple of days here, but that is no excuse. Again, I apologize.
The reason I consider it to be a downgrade is because the 2.2 based rom is the first to offer the ability to do certain things in regards to media. Netflix, HBO Go and the like wasn't working on the 2.1 based rom. The official reason why was because it didn't support the protection they needed to utilize.
I offer this for those that wanted to stick with the rom they got from Kies, but get rid of certain things and add root for installation of other tools.
Now that Samsung has changed their statement regarding a 2.3 release from "we are not sure when" to "we are not sure if", then I am a strong supporter of running custom roms.
I just know that I was looking for a way to do this at one point. Because of my OCD, when I get an idea in my mind... I can't stop until I either find a way to get it done or know for a fact it can't.
Again, I do apologize for coming off as a total ass. Thank you for trying to offer alternatives and posting here. I love being challenged on my ideas, but I shouldn't have gotten nasty in response.

I'm currently stuck on this step, since my system doesn't indicate what kind of usb device is on the current usb port. Nor do I see "Samsung USB Composite Device or Gadget Serial.

Restore Samsung Galaxy S I9000 firmware/stock ROM (Froyo 2.2.1)

Introduction
There are a lot of information on the internet on how to restore Froyo 2.2.1 (the stock ROM) back to your Samsung Galaxy S I9000. However, I found that the information are scattered all over the place. Also, some of the links for downloading the necessary files/software to perform the restoration are broken. So I decided to spend some time to put all the information and files/application together, in one central location, so as to make it easier for you. I hope this post helps you. If there's anything unclear or need improvement, please leave your comments/suggestions, and I will try my best to make this post better and more understandable.
My step by step instructions
The step by step below is what I have done to restore Froyo 2.2.1 firmware back to my Samsung Galaxy S (I9000). If you follow the steps exactly you should restore your Samsung Galaxy S (I9000) stock ROM back to your phone successfully. However, who knows, there may be strange cases that it might not work on your phone, since there are so many different versions of Samsung Galaxy S (I9000). But let’s cross our figures and hope that the steps below work on your phone. In any case, I do not take any responsibility on whatever happens to your phone after you have followed the steps below. You should only continue if you agree to be responsible to whatever happens to your phone.
I performed the steps below without removing the SIM or the memory card from my Samsung Galaxy S (I9000). So you can as well leave them inside your phone.
Section A: What you need
Odin3 v1.7 or Odin3 v1.82
s1_odin_20100512 PIT
a Froyo 2.2.1 firmware
Samsung USB driver
7-Zip, if you don’t have it. You will need it to unzip Froyo 2.2.1 firmware. If you use WinRAR (3.10) or other unzip program to open it, it will say "unexpected end of archive".
SuperOneClick v2.3.3.0 if you want to root your Samsung Galaxy S after you have successfully restored the Stock ROM back to your Samsung Galaxy S. Rooting your Samsung Galaxy S is optional.
Odin3 v1.7 or Odin3 v1.82 is the program that you will run on Windows to restore the Stock ROM onto your Samsung Galaxy S. If the name/file name of the Stock ROM you are downloading includes the letters/word sbl, then you will need to download Odin3 v1.82. Else, you need to download Odin3 v1.7. sbl means bootloader.
s1_odin_20100512 PIT is the file that tells Odin3 how to partition the ROM of your Samsung Galaxy S. For details go to this link.
Download any Froyo 2.2.1 firmware from the link above. I have tried 5 different Froyo 2.2.1 firmwares from the link and all 5 of them worked on my Samsung Galaxy S. One of the 5 was from Asia which I could set my phone to display in Chinese. At the end I restored my phone to XWJSD/XXJPY/OXXJS6/Sbl Froyo 2.2.1 firmware since it was the latest Froyo 2.2.1 firmware when I was trying to restore a Samsung Galaxy S firmware/stock ROM.
Section B: Restore Samsung Galaxy S I9000 stock ROM/firmware - Froyo 2.2.1
Do this step after you have all the necessary files downloaded from Section A.
Install Samsung USB driver on your computer.
Install 7-Zip.
Use 7-Zip to extract Froyo 2.2.1 firmware to a folder. After the extraction you should see 3 files with file extention .tar.md5.
Open Odin3 v1.7 or Odin3 v1.82 (depending on which one you have downloaded), and follow the steps below. To see an example of how Ordin3 works go to this link.
Hold Samsung Galaxy S I9000 in your hand and turn it off, while it’s still in your hand wait till it vibrates (after approximately 4 to 7 seconds), because that’s when it’s really turned off. If it didn’t vibrate then take out the battery to make sure that it’s completely turned off. Then put back the battery.
Connect your phone to your computer with a cable.
Put your phone to download mode. To do that, hold down "volume down", "home", then the "power" key/button - do not release these three keys until an Android and a yellow triangle image appears on the screen.
On Odin3 there are several columns of rectangles. Now the rectangle below the bigger rectangle on the first column should turn yellow.
Now select the PIT file, PDA file, PHONE file, and CSC file by clicking the PIT, PDA, PHONE, and CSC buttons.
Now click Start button.
Now you should see activity on the first column of Ordin3. You should see a green progress bar. On Samsung Galaxy S you should see a white progress bar. Do not disconnect your phone from the computer at this point. After it is completed, your phone will restart automatically and it will load into recovery mode.
In recovery mode use your volume down button to select “wipe data/factory reset” and tap the home key to confirm. Then select “wipe cache partition” and tap the home key to confirm. Then select “reboot system now” and tap the home key to confirm. Now your phone should boot up normally.
Congradulations! You have successfully restored Samsung Galaxy S I9000 firmware/stock ROM (Froyo 2.2.1).
If you find this helpful and would like to make a donation (even as little as $1) please go to PayPal and under Personal tab click "Send Payment" and send the donation to [email protected]. Thank you very much for your support.
Section C: Rooting Samsung Galaxy S
Put your Samsung Galaxy S to Debug mode. To do that follow these steps: home screen -> menu key -> Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB debugging.
Put your phone to Mass Storage. To do that follow these steps: home screen -> menu -> Wireless and network -> USB settings -> Mass storage.
Open SuperOneClick v2.3.3.0 and following these steps below. For an example of how to use SuperOneClick v2.3.3.0, go to this link.
Connect your phone to your computer with a USB cable.
On your phone you should see an Adroid with an USB hand, click connect.
On SuperOneClick click Root. Now you should see activity.
When it’s done it will display a massage saying if you want to run a test. Click yes.
Click Ok on the next prompt.
Then it will display another message saying if you want to donate. It’s up to you.
Now your Samsung Galaxy S I9000 should be rooted!

Do you mean change the ordered list to pullet point list? Or that some information in the ordered list can be broken down more into smaller groups of information?

Go to the thread "Root galaxy tab 10.1 the easy way". You will find the link to the file you need. Put the "update.zip" in the root folder of your tab. Reboot into recovery by switching off your tab. Press the left volume button and hold it while powering on your tab. Wait for the recovery options. Now press the volume up botton again and then vol down. Choose the option "install zip from sdcard". It will give you root access and install superuser. Now you can download busybox from the market and complete the root from within busybox app.
connect first is the right way
First .... I think you should have a pc connection to your tab ,, Transfering Files and data through the usb port is fast ,easy and useful

[How to][guide] UPDATE TO 4.4.2 BOOTLOADER AND ROOT TMO/CANADIAN VARIANTS

The point of this thread is to help people safely update their bootloader so that they may flash a touchwiz kitkat rom.
I have seen several threads where people are running into issues and even development threads get cluttered with questions. So I will give you the steps needed using my method.
Please note this is for windows 7. However it should work on other versions of windows too.
This method may wipe your internal storage completely so transfer anything you do not wish to lose to you pc.
This method will also trip yout knox counter which may void your warranty.
You also may not be able to downgrade to 4.3 so make sure this is what you want to do
I am not responsible for bricked devices. Proceed at own risk
You have been warned!!!
So what you need to do is download a few files.
I have created a zip file and uploaded it for easy access and simplicity reasons. If it becomes out dated I will update accordingly.
What is needed is your variants stock firmware. You need to get the one for your device off sammobile.com
On sammobile you must create an account in order to download (if you don't have an account already).
Once you are logged in click on the firmware tab. Then enter your device name.
Canadian variants enter: SM-N900W8
TMO variants enter: SM-N900T
You will then be able to pick the most recent firmware for your device and download it. So now that you have the correct firmware (please double check, and if unsure google it)!!!
So lets begin
You also need to download the zip file I have made and extract it. Inside it you will find the samsung drivers, 3 recovery options to pick from, the supersu.zip and also odin.zip. once you've extracted the file you've just downloaded you need to extract the odin.zip inside it as well.
So if you have not previously installed the samsung drivers you will need to do so. Simply run the samsung mobile driver.exe file and install it. Once successful in installing, reboot your pc.
when it boots up, connect yout device to you pc and transfer over the supersu.zip over to your phone. The root of your sd card is recommended for easy access.
Now what you need to do is ensure usb debugging is enabled. Do so by going to settings, general, developer options and ensure its checked. If you do not have developer options simply go to about phone, and tap om build number 7 times to enable developer options.
Once this is done you need to power off your device with it unplugged. Now we need to enter download mode. You can do this by holding the home button, volume down and pushing and hokding the power button. You will be presented with a warning screen. You push volume up to proceed or vokume down to cancel and restart device.
We want to push volume up. It will then show a big android saying warning do not turn off target.
Now connect your device to your pc and run odin as administrator.
In odin near the top left you shoukd see a box colored in saying:
Com and have a number. If you see this that means odin recognizes your device. If you do not that means eiter you dont have the drivers installed properly or perhaps you need to try a different usb port or cord.
You then will see a few check boxes checked off. Auto reboot and f.reset time. leave these checked only.
Theres an AP BUTTON. Click this button and then navigate to your stock firmware file you've downloaded and select it. It may take a few minutes to load it. Once it does load all you need to do is click the start button and let odin do the rest. Do not touch anything.
This will take a few minutes. You should see a green "pass" in the box at the top left. Your device will eventually reboot and you will now be stock, unrooted on the latest firmware.
*please note that if at this point your device hangs on the Samsung logo sayong "recovery booting" you need to pull the battery and reflash the firmware. This time also check the repartition box.
Now we need to root and flash a custom recovery.
Again you'll need to enable usb debugging on your phone so I recommend skipping the google setup stuff on your phone.
Once you have enabled it, power off your phone with it unplugged and again enter download mode the same way you did before.
Plug in your device and in odin press the reset button to clear the stock firmware file.
Now connect your device to your pc and again ensure that odin recognizes it.
Click the AP BUTTON again and this time navigate to the custom recovery of choice ( I reccomend twrp. I am also using the tmo version as I could not get the canadian version to boot)
Once selected again hit the start button. In a few seconds you should again receive a "PASS" message. That mrans you have successfully flashed a custom recovery.
Now power off your device and unplug it. Now we need to enter recovery.
Do so by pressing the home button, volume up, and push and hold the power button. Once you see recovery booting you can let go. You will also see in red font: recovery is not seandroid enforcing. That just means you have a custom recovery.
If your device hangs at this screen you will need to oower it off and try a different recovery.
Once in recovery I reccomend making a nandroid backup. (Optional)
Next we are going to root. All that you need to do is press install or install zip from sd card depending on which recovery you chose and navigate to the supersu.zip
Now install the zip by following the instructions of the recovery and then reboot.
Congratulations you are now rooted (you can confirm if you like by downloading the root checker app if you wish) and on the latest firmware and can flash custom 4.4.2 roms for your device. Please read and follow the directions of the op in the thread of the rom you wish to flash.

phone stuck on recoveryboot a
Theres an AP BUTTON.
= at this part of the instruction odin has said pass but my phone just has samsung logo and says on top recovery boot... and nothing else i dont know how to continue or move forward i hope someone can help me thank you and sorry for troubling you

Well if you're having to ask this then that leads me to believe you did not read the op. I suggest you do so or you may have a bad experience. Once you read all of the op I will tell you where it is

Now I see the download link, but it wasn't there yet.
Thanks, by the way you said that it may be difficult to go back to a different version, does this include the backups too?

regarding the stuck on RECOVERY BOOTING, you have to reflash it, WITHOUT ticking the REPARTITION (as stated in the instructions. you just need to reflash again. and it should work the 2nd time around
