Don't drop your transformer onto concrete... - Eee Pad Transformer General

I've had my TF101 for three months now, and the more I use it, the more I love it. Tried a few ROM's, got some games, watched some video I'd converted to HD mp4, played some old text based adventures. Spent time bonding.
The relationship hit a bump in the road yesterday. The Transformer fell out of its protective case (I shoulda closed the zip) and landed on the corner closest to the power button. The bezel popped away from the screen a little, there's an ugly dent, and now I can't use the power button. I push, pull & tweak it, but nothing happens, it either doesn't work at all, or locks on.
I've called Asus (in Sydney) and got an RMA number for it... guess I'll wait and see what happens. The warranty clearly states that it doesn't cover accidental damage or misuse.
Already having withdrawals.

yeah sorry about your mishap man....sucks for sure!!!
i ve had my tf101 for about 2 and a half or 3 months as well and just about a week ago i had it pluged in and using it on my lap basically. thre fone rang and when i jumped up i fumbled the tab and it took a fall onto the stone infront of the fireplace. it hit on the tab and dock the corner by headphones jack and the corner by the docks sd card. Its dented and scratched in a few places but i got extremely lucky and even though it fell a good 4 ft and hit with some force it functions as intended still (knock, knock, knock) on wood.
surprised me really, seeing ive heard and seen so many people crack a screen from a 2 ft drop onto surfaces much softer than what mine hit.
i have an OG IPAD that i let the rest of the family abuse now, but when i had it i forgot it on the roof of my blazer one day and took off....At about 45 mph i looked in the rearview and watched as it hit the dirt road and bounced and slide about 30-40foot......OUCH!!!!....And it survived without a scratch the case was scuffed up a bit but that was it....
My Point is....basically these little things can be pretty tough really.

I got mine during the US launch, and had not dropped it ONCE since then ... until last week. Had it under my armpit in the Asus-branded rubbery case while toting a bunch of crap to my car. Forgot that it was under my arm when I opened the car door, and when I reached in the car to put my bag in, it fell from under my arm SMACK onto the driveway. I looked down in horror, tears welling in my eyes, quivering in terror (OK I exaggerate). Picked it up, and the only problem was the back had popped off a bit on one edge. Snapped it back into place, and all was right with the world. I was lucky that it fell flat, rear-side down, instead of on a corner I guess.

After reading the thread title I was about to post a witty comment about not telling me what to do but then I dropped my transformer onto my wood floor. (karma, right?) and then I read the thread. Gosh that really does suck. Mine landed side-of-the-dock down first so my SD card shot out and got lost somewhere under the couch... I really hope they will fix it for you. From my experience Asus is really good with RMA stuff if you can talk with a real asus employee rather than their phone people and explain what happened. I had an amazing motherboard which shorted out after a month of use and they had stopped selling that exact model (sabertooth gx or somethng like that) so, instead, they gave me a better, more high end replacement for it. They also fixed my dock even though I lost my serial number (I had to pay for shipping but it was worth the 30 bucks). Like I said, good luck and I hope they don't charge you for the repairs

Sorry to hear about the problem, but this is just common sense...

****s happened!!!
I've dropped it on concrete from about 4 feet high.
Case took most of the impact but got a little dent.
Beside my cell phone the tf get handle a lot so sooner or later
it get dropped.

If the actual button isn't screwed up, you can probably insert a flat head under the bezel (easier in BACK!) and pry it up a little, and reseat the button (hold it with the button facing the ground) and pop the bezel back. Give or take the beds.
I'm really glad I don't have formica floors, or concrete...I keep mine in a backpack when on the go, just in case lol.

really sorry man.
got mine for a week now
i dont want to drop it
thats why i bought case and screen protector for it.
i love this thing way too much. i dont wanna break it

Dropped mine off the arm of the sofa onto carpet, it was docked and inside its neoprene case at the time. Result = screen cracked into 2 seperate peices
Guess its all down to luck in terms of damage done in accidents like this, mine is still useable but I thought the Gorilla glass would be much tougher.
Would be very interested to hear what happens with the RMA for the OP, I haven't dared contact ASUS uk for fear of the number of digits in the bill.

Had a similar incident with a happy ending

I had the same incident 3 months ago. I dropped the transformer with dock in my office parking lot. It fell flat. When I pushed the power button it would not turn on. As it was an accidental drop I was sure ASUS warranty would not cover it. Still sent it to ASUS and was happy it was repaired under warranty.

Thank you so much for this warning, I was just about to try this with mine.

Thanks for all the good wishes. I rang the service centre (Dingotech, cool name) and a very sympathetic young lady told me all I need to do to get it RMA'd. I told her what had happened, she didn't think it would be done under warranty. Ahh well. Anyways, I couriered it out to them, and they'll ring me with the quote sometime. NOT looking forward to it. So I'm forced to play with my old Advent Vega, with its cruddy viewing angles and bluetooth dropouts. I knew there was a reason I didn't sell it.
I'll keep you posted.

Yeah, they can hardly be expected to cover it. Your choices are either to buy insurance with accidental damage cover yourself, or just tell yourself that accidents happen, and when they happen it just means it's time for an upgrade.

I heard ASUS charges US$75 for the labor & bezel.
The same happened to my transformer. I dropped it on the corner and ruined the bezel.
However, I was able to hammer it out with a small ball peen hammer after carefully removing the bezel (which was a more difficult task than banging out the bends & dents).
It's very thin and flexible so I was just as easy to fix as it was to break.
After I put the bezel back on the only noticeable damage left were some scuffs on the metal from the fall. I just sanded them down a bit to smooth them out and it's good as new to me.
The entire process took about 15 minutes.

I once had my transformer in my bag (docked) with a steel water bottle. It was raining, and i went to jump over something, slipped, and landed on a pointy edge.
The aluminium water bottle was mangled but my transformer was fine (though i later realised that at full brightness, on a black screen there is pressure damage.)
I suppose it saved my back though.

Only dropped mine on to carpet (given, it was from four feet up), but no damage.
On the other hand, I just finished a screen/digitizer replacement for a friends iPad 2 - he had it under his kids stroller and it fell, only about two feet, on to asphalt when he went to load the stroller in to his car. The drop mangled the corner where it impacted and totalled the screen.

I hold onto mine like it's my child. I will never ever drop this... And now I'll be more careful because I probably jinxed myself.

I dropped my onto concrete from about 6'. It damaged the bezel something fierce, but I have bent it back into shape. It could use some super glue to hold it into place a bit better, but I was pleasantly surprised that it is still 100% functional. My EVO 3D hasn't received nearly this type of abuse and is hardly usable.
I do agree though, don't drop it on pavement.

who has Drop it

Hey who has drop there 8125.. i kinda did from a foot off the ground.. It was soooo perfect. Now im mad. I wouldnt consider the scratch big but i like my stuff pretty much perfect. What about u guys?
Dropped mine from the second floor down the stairs. Broke completely and I'm pretty upset now
MAN
I feel sooooo bad.. and i thought i had it bad.. did u get a replacement or another phone?
I will file a case with my insurance company - I doubt that they will cover it, but you never know...
Was chasing the FedEx truck, don't ask why. I had it in the case that came with the 8125 which leaves the corners exposed. It unclipped and dropped on the cement sidewalk, the corner near the volume control is mashed in and two other corners are pretty scraped up the screen is fine because it was inside the case.
Ironically, if that FedEx guy didn't make me chase after him I would've gotten my activecase and anti-glare screen protector.
Thankfully after putting on the activecase not so much of the scratches can be noticed or felt.
i actually dropped mine for the first time today... i was about to sit down and i was putting it back into its case, and it fell (maybe 2 feet)... but the case cushened the blow. good thing
Wow
Man i drop my today UNPROTECTED.. man i cant believe.. it was soo clean and now it is.. Im soo mad also
Several times....
no major malfunctions yet, but lots of chipped paint.
I dropped mine in the street getting out of a car because I had it in my hooded sweater pocket like a big dummy. It sounded like it broke in half or something (found out later it was the stylus ejecting), but nothing really happened to it besides a few corner scratches that aren't noticeable.
Sorry to hear about your drops and losses!
Does the Activecase for the 8125 have a flip cover for the screen?
Yeah the activecase covers both the back and the front so you can slide it out without altering the case. It uses hinges to cling on but I figured if I used the hinges it would loosen the front from the back so I cut off the hinges and used double sided tape to stick it to my phone.
Droped 2 time by my baby. . . she really likes my wizard. but my baby is more important than my wizard hehe.. rather have a lot of scratch on my wizard than a tiny one on my baby girl

I don't use the keyboard much on my 8125, so that part of the case that allows for keyboard use would not influence my decision to purchase or not.
What I'm really after is to know if there is a flip lid that covers the screen, and whether or not it can be opened without disengaging the entire front portion of the case from the front half of the phone.
Thanks again!
Oop
i used the carrying case that came with it but i might stich some cousion stuff where the case leaves the edges exposed
had my 8125 for about 2 weeks then when i was getting out my 66 bronco i forgot i had it in my lap and it took a dive for the pavement luckly no major defects from it just a few chips outa the keyboard side.

man im sorry to hear that.. ugh i hate that i droped my phone but i kinda gotten over it
While closing the door it slipped and landed right on the topleft corner. Result was a crack in the screen topfleft to right bottom.
Of course this wasn't covered by warrenty and it cost me about 150 euros to get it fixed.
So when you drop it, try to drop it so it fall flat on it back
/Cacti
OUCH!
wow that is expenisve.. i tho i dont kno how much that is in US dollers i know that expensive.. i dont even think i could pay for that just to be replaced
Not only did i drop it, but kicked it just after... i freakin' drop-kicked it!
Was walking under a busy Moscow street and had my hands full when I received a call. I tried to answer the call while still walking and in true dork form, fumbled, dropping it as my foot came forward at the same moment and ended up kicking it another few meters.
upper corners were a little scratched, and the 2GB SD fell out, but I picked them both up, wiped it off, inserted the SD back in and it works great.
guess i lucked out!
Dropped mine multiple times. Stock case was useless. The alum case I have from BoxWave is equally useless. Damn thing flies open way too easy. And, my 8125 has therefore taken several spills.
So far, my personal best was when I essentially threw it about 7 or 8 feet from a height of about 3 1/2 feet onto concrete. It "shattered" in that the stylus came out, battery, sim, and all that came out. A couple of more dents and scratches in the case, but the display itself is fine. I do have a screen protector on it, and I quesiton whether or not that's the only reason the screen has been saved.
Other than that, mostly about 1 1/2 feet drops, generally falling out of the aluminum case while getting out of the chair at my office.
Rugged little device, that's for sure..

1 foot drop = phone DEAD

Hi Guys,
I made this thread to see if anyone else had experienced this with their SGS
I was petting my dog while i was holding my phone in my other hand, the dog got excited and knocked the phone in my hand and it dropped from approx 50cm on the grass and the phone was also in a thick leather cover... took the phone in my hand and went inside to make a phone call when i noticed it was off! Hmm, i take out the battery put it back in, phone starts fine, i turn the phone to attac the battery cover, turn the phone around ind it was off again, since then i can't turn on my phone......
Of course the phone has no visibile damage whatsoever.....
I am truly amazed and can't get over it.... phone is brand new, 1w old.... INCREDIBLE.... i have no warranty over the phone.
Please tell me there is a fix to this, i love this phone very much...
50 cm drop onto grass in a leather cover? Sorry but smells like BS. Probably no point in asking if it got wet, grass was bone dry no doubt.
Mine took a bounce off pavement from about 4 feet and works like a champ. (also in the 1st week, man I'm holding my next shiny device tight for the first month!)
of course yes dry,no other factors, what is BS?
p.s. also plugged in charger... nothing happens...
this is sooo frustrating because this was like the best way to drop your phone...
Mine fell out of the gym locker about a meter high unto a concrete like surface and it works just fine, no scratches.
BS=Bull**** - he's calling you a liar....
Not possible that there was a stone or rock in the grass? Does your case cover the whole screen? There's a definite weak point in the design where the glass covers the home/back/menu buttons, but if there's no screen damage...
Good luck. And blame the dog!

x2 - I was actually really surprised how well it took a direct pavement hit.
OP - does the battery stay firmly in place in the phone when the cover is off? Sounds like maybe there is bad contact between the battery and the phone. Check that first. No way that a fall like what you described could have damaged the phone. No way.
One foot drop no external damage return phone to seller and hope .

I got hit by a car when i was on my bike, I fell of the car on my left side, the side where my phone was in my jeans. The thing didnt even turn off..
I can tell you it was quite a hit! i was stunned that the phone survived..
then it's just my god damn luck..............
anyway it's good to hear you guys had "good" results with drops and phone is supposed to be strong..
one more thing is puzzling me, why did it turn on (for a few secs) after i turned it on...

Im stunned that YOU survived lol
Tough luck, I guess. Mine has survived several drops (mostly from my shirt pocket) without any apparent damage. I have a CaseMate 'Barely There' case on it though -- maybe it actually works.
Sorry to hear, but there is zero chance that a phone will break like that.
So it must been bad to start with.
Take of the cover and look at the battery and the contacts so they are okey.
Why don't you have a warranty?

If it's new then why doesn't it have warranty? Just say to them it stopped working, no need to say it fell.
I can vouch for the solidity of (my) SGS -- it's dropped from hip height onto concrete paving slabs, which grazed the back cover a little; and fell, when I was running, onto the pavement, bouncing along a few times and off the kerb, coming to rest under a car.
This scuffed the bezel a bit, but otherwise my phone is still as good as new.
The recessed glass certainly helps prevent the screen taking any of the hit.

is samsung warranty worldwide? i'm thinking not.... so Samsung Romania will tell me to send the phone to France and that will not happen.... (if those stickers represent a warranty that is)
Can i turn it in for service to Samsung if i pay for the repair? .....

A500 Abuse - what can it handle?

So what kind of abuse has you A500 taken so far?
The other night my 3 year old boy was standing beside me saying "daddy look" to which I replied "oh you're dancing that new dance you made up, very cool" but he kept harping on at me and pointing at his feet. After a few minutes of "yeah I can see you son" I finally looked over the coffee table at his feet and there is my A500 on the floor and the wee bugger is dancing on it. So far no problems, fingers crossed. so I'm now well impressed by the build quality.
I dropped mine while in the bathroom, fell on the floor and the case came open on one of the corners. Snapped it back in, but the corner got bent in a little so the shell doesn't fit completely flush. Can't tell by looking at it without closely inspecting it, but I know it's there and that bothers me enough. I have one of those TEP cases on it now so it's unnoticable.

I hope I'll never know what it can handle But with a two and a half year old daughter and one year old son I fear I will... The other day my daughter dropped my wife's iPhone on the marble floor screen down (Murphy's law - works every time) so it's just a matter of time for the iconia.

dropped mine down the stairs after i was balancing it on a pizza box and it slid off. Of course it was the beers fault.
Back came off, the rotation lock switch came out but it all clicked back into place - i have yet to try and put the auto lock switch back in.
The screen is fine and dandy, but as mentioned above...the back has not clicked back in smooth and has a few added extra curves!
I prefer my A500 to suffer from verbal, emotional and psychological as opposed to physical abuse
Having said that, I do think that the build is ok, my unit has got a little give in the plastic bit, but otherwise no complaints.
I think the whole.its aluminum and will be tougher then those made of plastic is incorrect. Plastic will bounce back or it will break. The metal bends and causes the tablet to not be together as well.there should have also been screws to hold the back on.With that said for me small hands I can hold the tablet easily and it does fell stronger then most.but I do not think it is.if you drop this device it.will have some damage.
Mine to has a corner bent and seem not as tight with creeling sounds from seams at top and bottom.

My 3 year old daughter likes playing angry bird on it and if she can't kill the pig she throws it on floor but surprisingly nothing happened so far. I have never put any protective screen or any casing on it and still when i wipe clean screen it is same as when i bought it. Once it opened a bit from one corner but snapped back upon a little push and nothing more. So i can confirm that it withstands physical abuses much better.

I often use my Iconia during office hour. So everytime my boss pass by, i will quickly cover it with A4 paper.
I thought i was smart to make it unnoticeable, until last week, when my fren was helping me to carry desktop monitor, i totally forgot that my tablet was covered with the paper, and i myself instructed him to put it on my desk, and he did..
He put the monitor right on top of my tablet without noticing my tablet underneath the paper.. its a 24" monitor.. jaw-drop..
seriously, i was expecting at least crack on the screen but luckily nothing happen to it.
So there's something to be said to all of the folks complaining about the weight of the Iconia. My iPad shattered from a 3 foot drop onto the sidewalk. This tablet is much tougher.

You all have been soo lucky!
Mine dropped from the couch one day, and no visible damage occured. The next night I charged it with my windows opened (it was a cool night, about 6°C). At the morning the glass was broken. The LCD screen and the digitizer are working well, but the cover glass ist splitted into two halfs; very bad.
It must have been a failure during assembly, some kind of tightness and the fall and the temparature changes finished my beloved toy off.
I was holding the tab loosely when I was on the escalator in the subway station. Suddenly a man rush down and knocked my tab down (~4 feet). A corner is scratched, but the tab is still functioning well.
Wow, you guys really abuse your tablets. I don't know what mine can take and I hope I don't have to find out!

I dropped it! :o

After having my A500 for 8 months, I dropped it the other day from about waist high onto this office carpteting (not a very soft landing). I was holding it under my arm while messing with a broken umbrella and let it slip. Quickly checked it to make sure the screen didn't crack.. All was fine.... until....
later that night went to turn it on and immediate "felt" something was wrong. It had landed right on the corner where the power button is. Power button itself is fine, but the plastic kind of buckeled up right next to it, make it hard to press. Then I noticed that the casing doesn't fit tight in that corner anymore. Can't get it to snap in, so now there's a small gap along the upper part where the volume switch is.
Everything still works fine, thank goodness. I think the aluminum corner got bent just a little. I might have to pop the cover off and see how i might fit it back together correctly.
Would like to see some pics if you do gut this thing.

I know this is kind of old, but did you get anywhere? My 3yr old dropped mine, same symptoms: broke part of the plastic around pwr btn, slightly bent aluminum, gap around volume rocker. The volume key keeps falling in... I've taken it apart, and it seems the snap fastener in that corner was sheered... Let me know if you tried any fixes.
my A500 in cheap as* leather chinese ebay case hit the ground just like the OP and luckily the landing point was the reset button not the power. A big chunk of plastic around the USB ports is all gone though..
ACER is known for making fragile devices, however just like the above cat said, "Had it been an ipad, it'd be shattered in a million pieces."
My A500 is in a Belkin case. It dropped from carrying height to a blacktop parking lot. No damage... that was Summer, 2011. Still fine.
Mine had a similar fall as above. It fell out of my bag while getting it out of the car onto the parking lot. The corner doesn't fit together tightly where the power button is. Since it doesn't fit flush in that corner, the rear camera doesn't focus right, but I never use the rear camera. When I dropped it, I thought it was done for, so I'm happy it faired as well as it did
Our Bullmastiff has sat on mine, more than once jumping on the sofa. Google Bullmastiff pic and you'll have an idea...
Mine took a tumble down the basement stairs onto a concrete floor. It didn't survive, but I replaced the digitizer on my own
Ive dropped it a couple of times, but only small distances and it has landed flat on it's back.
Thank goodness it's alright!

I broke mine too.
way back in September 2011, I dropped mine from the waist height, and broke the digitizer. Luckily all was working. Though heart broken, still I kept on working with it. Approached Acer, and they quoted a total replacement cost of $250 .
Started to look for replacements in EBay, but unfortunately the cost was closet to $200
Anyway, I decided not to get it done from ACER. I was just lucky that the damage was in one corner, (mostly in the black border) and few non irritating long cracks across the screen. So I just covered the black border with another Black tape and used the tab in the same condition for next 8 months.
By June 2012 the digitizer cost in ebay dropped to $70. I bought and replaced it myself. Now the Tab is absolutely fit and fine. Now the digitizer costs almost $30 on Ebay. So any one still waiting for a replacement, I would recommend buying one from ebay.
Within a few days of replacement, I bought a TPU cover. This has a very sticky back, and gives you great confidence and convenience in handling the tab. This TPU cover is highly recommended.
Now its 8 more months ever since I replaced the digitizer, and nothing has ever happened it so far.
Though this hardware is 2 years old, but I am still in love with this hardware. I have an additional Samsung tab 2, but nothing to beat ACER.
Glad to read those ACER hardware stories with happy endings. Hope I won't have to write myself that kind of stories.

[Q] Possibly Indestructible...

My 2 year old just stood up on our bed and threw my Gtab 10.1 onto our laminate flooring. The screen came out a bit but i popped it back in and it is none the worse for wear.
Has anyone been able to actually break one of these yet?

This example auto-repaired itself
Why is he standing in bed? Why is he holding your gtab? Why does he throws things? Did the floor get any markings? How are you holding on after this accident? So many questions... So little time

I kinda think this thing really is indestructible. I dropped my iPad off my couch, no more than a foot above the floor; cracked screen. I drop my Galaxy Tab from 8 feet up onto the same hard ass tile floor. Now I need new tiles. My Galaxy Tab survived it like a boss, and soundly continued playing the YouTube video as it took it's beating. There's a small scratch about 1mm in length.
Maybe try throwing it against a tiled floor multiple times with one of the corners pointing down? I hope this solves your problem

I've dropped mine down a flight of stairs with nothing but the Samsung thin cover on it. It's fallen numerous times in airports and on airplanes. I spilled water in to the media dock while the G-Tab was connected and both the Tab and dock were fine once they dried out. The Transformer Prime folks have bending frames, cracking screens, and AC adapters you can fry an egg on. The G-Tab was never cheap but I think we take the quality for granted.

Same dropped mine and watched it tumble down a flight of stairs painfully only to discover it wasn't damaged what so ever. These things are tough.
I placed mine on the top of my SUV and forgot and drove away. It rattled around the roof rack until I realized it and then when I stopped it slid down my windshield and off the front of my car. Not gonna lie it has a nice juicy scratch on the back but the screen has almost no damage and it still works perfectly.
I actually picked it up and laughed out loud in the parking lot because I was so amazed.
Baffles the mind really.
Haha, looks like this thread is becoming a match who abused his/her tab the most, reading the stories I have to admit I have lost this match ;-)

Yeah, and so far I only dropped it once, and even then it only fell on the bed ... gotta catch up - stairs, here I come!
I got my Tab on release day at Best Buy. A 16 GB silver back model. Unwrapped it on the way home from excitement. Got inside the house and set it on our kitchen table that is about 4 feet off the floor, on top of the box. The box had an angle on it due to me not setting it back on properly...I thought that the Tab was stable though. Dogs barking, wanting in...I go 10 feet to open the door for them. On my way to the door I hear a *SLAP* as my heart fell into my stomach and the feeling of losing a lover washed over me simultaneously. I turn and see my tab laying face down on our tiled kitchen floor. I. NEVER. EVEN. TURNED. IT. ON. Time was frozen. I was frozen. I rushed to the tab as a soldier to a wounded friend on the battlefield. I flipped it over. Like lightning across the night sky, a crack in the glass ran from one corner to the next, breaking my Tab and heart all at once. I had spent not only my self appointed budget for tech on this bad boy, but financed some as well. Basically the money that I get to spend frivolously on video games or whatever else I want and don't have to answer to wife over. All I could think about was the kid at Best Buy who just asked me 15 minutes earlier "Do you want the black tie protection in case you drop or break it?" then me smugly replying "Oh no, I never would need or use such a thing." ....his nasally voice echoing in my head over and over as my emotions of rage and anger turned to fear and buckled me at my knees. I cried out to the gods "WHY?!"...
With tears still in my eyes, I quickly ran back to Best Buy and without bringing the tab inside, only showing my receipt, a chatty female employee gladly sold me the black tie plan and I rushed to another Best Buy and got a new one except I had to get the 32 GB which was an extra $100 and I bought the black tie again.
But I had my tab for my flight to Vegas and that was all that mattered.
I was traveling on business and dropped my tab (IN A CASE). As the tab was falling on to the concrete (3-4 feet high) the case flipped open and the corner of the tab made contact with the concrete. Screen cracked really good in the corner, then spider webbed out from there.
Luckily I bought a Squaretrade warranty when I got this, so I got it fixed. The problem was that the replacement had the Newton Ring problem, so I had to send it back AGAIN!!!!
Long story short, everything is good again.

The build quality was indeed probably the best I have ever seen in any device. It's been a while since my electronics broke the floor instead of itself. But I mean this tablet's performance sucks so hardcore win in one area, and a fail in another. Can't blame Samsung through, Tegra 2 just sucks in general.
its destructible...i accidentally dropped a 30-40 lb chair on the screen and it broke...both the lcd and glass...cost me $130 to fix...and that is without labor...i did it myself...still good.
I droped mine from a 10 story building corner down and it only has a small scratch near the charging hole and I can see the newton rings. Battery consumption seems to have improved too!

I am another who oops'ed and forgot I left my tab on top of the car when I got in. The tab flew off the car going around 50 about 2 miles down the road. It must have tumbled around 15-20 feet off the main road.
I ended up finding it around 4 hours later after it had been siting there through some light rain and mud. I have a Pyro skin and other than a few case scratches the tab is still in perfect condition.
Love this thing!
