Mobile Odin now Supports the Galaxy Tab 7.7 - Galaxy Tab 7.7 General

Mobile OdIn by Chainfire now has support for the P6800 and P6810. Just a heads up for P6800 and 6810 owners.. Let the mobile flashing begin..!
Now we need some roms.. Lol

im noob for samsung, what is mobile odin?

Good news. Thx.
The problem is that it can't operate. It tells me that there is unexpected partition and shuts down. ):

I saw that too and contacted Chainfire and he resolved the issue.. there is a new build and it does not report any error on my device.. As always use @ your own risk..!

Will we be able to flash ROM's with CWM anytime soon ?
I'm used to that using my Note, ODIN seems more technical (need to know what ur doing)
So if some cook decided to build a custom ROM , would be be able to flash via (mobile) ODIN, and/or CWM?

Odin support since I bought my tab last week. Been using it already to flash Australia firmware ;-)

Assuming CWN works correctly you will be able to flash as soon as someone releases a rom.
As for Odin being to "technical", If you do NOT know how to use odin, then you should NOT be modding your device. Odin is a simple click, add the file, press start. How hard is that?
Not everything can be spoon fed.
Edit: Also why is this in development? Should be in general.

My sincere thanks to you for your first line, the answer.
The rest, well, it's a forum and It got a lot worse after 2008.
Golden years were 2005-2008.

what do you do after mobile Odin has downloaded a dump file to make device compatable???

Chainfire has already done the work to make Mobile Odin work with P6800/6810. If you're using mobile odin lite, you need to download the flash kernel manually from chainfire's thread. The paid version from market should do this automatically.

i've tried both technic to flash mine.. mobile odin pro just made my device went to loop booting. then i used odin 1.85 rev. 3 for wwindows which made my device alive again..

Since it was updated to support the p6800 I have never used Odin on my laptops/desktops again, and haven't had any issues flashing from the device with mobile Odin. You should check to make sure everything is set correctly and you have the flash kernel loaded properly..

Yeah! I used mobile odin and its working fine. Thanks, mate.

Galaxy S2 2.3.4 firmware

What is the easiest way to install 2.3.4 version or newer to my Galaxy S2 4G current is 2.3.3. I will be using it in Canada.. Thanks
Official way: Check if KIES is offering you a firmware
Unofficial way: You can download the firmware from the Dev section Stock or Custom and then flash it using Odin
Stock: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
Also explains how to flash. Please read how to flash and DO SELECT only what is given. Selecing PIT in ODIN leads to BRICK and unusable
Thanks for the info!!! If I do update it will put everything to normal right and it will unroot the phone?

Don't understand the 'put everything to normal' part but after flashing any ROM you will lose root. Need to re root.
Regards.

Thats fine no too worry about root normal i meant everything will go back to stock or factory state condition. That triangle will go away too right after flashing the rom? thanks for your quick response
If you use one of the stock roms there is no yellow triangle. You wont see carrier animation on boot, but that is a good thing in my opinion. It's as if you bought an unlocked phone not tied to a network.

I wonder if this court injunction by apple will slow the rollout of v2.3.4 to the rest of Europe, I hope not i am sick of waiting as it is.
So just odin right? Not sure which stock rom I can use with it been searching around here and seen so many of them.

Root gb on note

I got a new g-note but didnt get it rooted....i want to use mobile odin and my laptop isnt workin....is there any solution on how do we root note on gingerbread 2.3.6..??.....
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA
You cannot use Mobile Odin on a non-rooted phone.
The easiest way to root GB is this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25285584&postcount=3
However, you need PC Odin for the procedure. Borrow a laptop from somebody
and be on your merry way.
I knw that mobile odin wont wrk without root that is y i asked for instructions on rooting GB.....thnx anywayzz.....

thanks chasmodo for the link... i have been waiting for a link to a pre-rooted ROM kernel for a while now.. mine is the newer version (LC2) that is not directly rootable using CF-root from Dr Ketan's guide.
i only have one question... since the pre-rooted ROM uses pc-odin it doesn't have CWMR and since i do not have mobile-odin i can't use the CF-root kernel to flash CWMR right? Is there any way i can get CWMR installed via different means?

Going from CM9 to Official ICS

So I have a Galaxy Note N7000 running CM9. I would like to flash the official ICS on it using Odin. However I am trying to avoid bricking the device in the process.
Can people confirm that this would work? I am assuming that the bootloader would get wiped if I use Odin to flash, as mentioned in this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1659308
I briefly scanned/searched the group for an answer to this, but did not see one.
Thanks.
It works on lpy/lpf/lp9 ive upgraded to all 3 with mobile odin.

TWRP 2.4 - Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (p5100 or p5110)

TWRP 2.4 is out and it handles Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 perfectly.
No more problem with official CWM avoiding Cyandelta or Zipinstaller to automate installation. :victory:
Install it with Odin or Mobile Odin (GooManager failed to find it) and enjoy...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1622917
And here I was under the impression that TWRP only exists for the 7" version. Tried compiling my own and became utterly confused. Thanks for the heads up. Should have googled before trying, it would have saved me a lot of time. :good:

Downloading and using Odin

Trying without any luck to download Odin program. Any ideas ?
Sent from my NookColor using xda app-developers app
Out of curiosity, what are you planning to use Odin for on a Nook Color? I thought it was a computer utility to flash Samsung stuff, but maybe I'm totally wrong there. I have used it myself to flash firmware to Samsung devices, but that's it.

My Samsung fascinate is stuck in a boot loop after trying to flash a new ROM. I usually use my laptop to use the Odin program but I am away from home til Sunday. I do however have my nook color ( rooted, running cyanogen mod 10.1) just wondering if some way I could use it to run Odin and flash my fassy back to stock, or just do without til Sunday night .

Odin is a windows program. Even if you could find it and download it, the NC could not run it.

Use Heimdall, it's really easy to use. I used it to flash my dad's Samsung Galaxy S II T-Mobile.
Did I mention Heimdall is cross platform and open source?
Just a couple of quick clarifications. There is an Odin Mobile app that can be used to flash roms. BUT it only works on selected Samsung devices, notably the older Samsung Galaxy phones. No way to use it to try what you want. No connection to NC at all. Unless your Fascinate is utterly bricked past the point you have to use a jig just to get in download mode, sagirfahmid3 is right. Your best bet is Heimdall.
