If you're asking how to boot the SD version then in the MAGLDR menu go to Services>AD SD Dir> Android (or whatever the folder name for your SD build is) then back to the main menu> Boot AD SD.

Can one still have winmo with MAGLDR and boot into an SD build of android?

Yeah. There will be no conflicts with it.

No, MAGLDR replaces WinMo. Unless you mean WP7, you have either WinMo or MAGLDR/cLK, never both.

you can convert a nand rom to sd rom using portadroid...check sd android development section

Thanks for the replies. I was kinda wondering if magldr had an advantage over sd build anroid roms. Thanks for the info

You want to dual boot android with wm 6.5___use sd build..
Wp7 with android ____use magldr

[Q] Android booting from NAND + SD possible?

Is it possible to boot both Android builds with MAGLDR ?
I have already flashed an Android NAND ROM,but an android rom from sd,too, would be the beeesssttt DD
So is it possible to start the second one via MAGLDR?
thanks ^^
If you go to the Android SD development section, you'll see that some ROMs list that they can be booted from MAGLDR.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=735
You'll just need to check in each ROM's thread and first post to see if it's able to be booted from MAGLDR instead of HARET.
Once you have an Android SD build that's compatible with MAGLRD on your SD card, you'll need to enter the MAGLRD menu and firstly select the folder the Android SD build is in, then select 'boot AD SD' to load the SD android build.
Also, here's a guide to boot Android SD from Maglrd: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=913964

Yes.
You can also have WP7 on NAND and Android on SD. In future you will also be able to boot WM6.5 from SD if you wish.

Android on NAND and also on SD?

Part of the beauty of having WP7 on NAND and Android on SD is that you can have as many Android ROMs as you can fit on your card and you can boot into any of them as you please. But say I want to install Android on NAND. Can I still be able to have that one Android ROM on NAND, but multiple other Android ROM's on SD?
Simple... If I want to be able to boot into more than one OS, must I have WP7 on NAND? If so, is there any guide for this? I cannot find one in the main sticky.
Good question, It would be good if you could switch and chang based on mood.
You can have Android on NAND and as many sd builds as you want, same as with WP7. Until my HD2 broke a few days ago, thats just what II did, a DHD build, a MIUI build, and a CM7 build on sd, with UD on NAND. Just have to choose your AD SD directory in magldr's 'services', and then boot AD SD.

I do not think you can due to the fact that you have to run the HARET program. It only runs under Windows Mobile as Android does not run .EXE files.
Yes you definitely can. Check my sig

Well, I saw several builds in the NAND Android forum that specify they support MAGLDR. No need for haret. Here's some of them: LeoRCMix, JW MIUI, HardDroid2. So I didn't think that was a limitation.

How do you partition your card for this setup? Is there a guide somewhere you can link here please? Or is it the same procedure you use to partition your card when you're running WP7 on NAND and Android on SD (which I've followed before)?
Any advise whether NAND build or SD build is better? In terms of performance I mean.
NAND builds will usually be faster.
As far as partitioning your card, with Android it's not necessary, you can do everything on a single Fat32 partition, unless you want to use A2SD then you'll want a single (primary) Fat32 and a single (primary) ext3 or ext4 partition for your apps/dalvik-cache. I recommend using DarkTremor's A2SD script with your NAND ROM, and if you use the DHD build in my sig, then it will automatically detect your ext3 and you'll automatically have the installed apps from your NAND on your sd build.

sd android builds for magldr will work if you have another android in nand, but the kernel for sd build must not be a nand kernel.for example if you have a sense build in nand and you go to start from sd a build that has tytung r10 or rafpigna kernel the kernel will start but for some strange reason it will load the nand build and not the sd build.then if you go to settings you`ll see that the kernel is changed and you have error wifi because of different kernel modules.this at least happens to me,every time i tried to start a magldr sd build with another android in nand.at first times i thought that i was pushing wrong button on magldr
Great advise, guys. I'm going to play with this soon. Thank you!

Flash HSPL2,radio higher than 2.09,MAGLDR 1.13.
NAND:
Flash CWM with correct partition
Then, flash rom by copying it to SD card then selecting install zip from sd card
SD:
Copy to SD card.
Then, go to magldr menu and select the folder where you stored your rom.
Go back and select BOOT AD SD
Hope I helped.......
By the way by HSPL2 he means HSPL2.08. Although I assume that you already have this flashed to NAND memory by the stuff you've said already And to select the SD thing go to (in MAGLDR menu) Services>AD SD Dir>folder with ROM in it.
really ? can haret.exe run with android on nand ?

It runs through MAGLDR, you can't run SD builds from Android or using CLK. You must have WinMo or MAGLDR (WP7 or Android on NAND).

[Q] urgent help please regarding dual boot

hi i m using android ics 4 in nand and i want to dual boot with windows 7.5 and i dont want to hard format hd2 plzz someone help is it possible or i have to start with scratch ? coz i had not installed android myself so m bit scared
since WP7 is working from NAND, You have to reflash NAND with WP7, then You can add SD android BUILD
but i have android in nand so does that means i had to flash w7 directly without hard format android or first i have to installed wp6.5 than i had to flash hspl then magldr then windows 7 then android in sd ? and if this r the only steps then my question is is there a way to skip the step of installing wp 6.5 then hspl then mgldr coz i m using android in nand so i have hspl and mgldr already installed
you wont need to reinstal HSPL, but it is adviced to install wm 6.5 prior to flashing WP7, then magldr... and so on
I did once direct flash from nandroid to WP7 and it worked, but im not sure dose it have any side effects or not

hmm seems u r wrong or missed something out so if i dont reinstall hspl then how can i run android from sd does it work on wp 6.5 hspl plzzz some advance user help its getting confusing
reflashing wm6.5 doesent remove HSPL (at least it didnt in my case)
k then too i will wait for more reply coz i had read somewhere that you can only delete hspl 2.08 or so by flashing wp 6.5 may be m wrong but still i prefer waiting
ok, remembered now, I installed custom wm6.5 ROM that uses HSPL for flashing, that is why HSPL stayed untouched
Hspl is not touched by flashing anything..it is removed only by uninstalling using hspl to flash spl again. hspl makes your phone practically unbrickable.. For wp7 you need hspl 2.08... Flash wm 6.5 with radio 2.12 or 2. 15, then magldr1. 13 and then flash wp7.. Then dual boot with android

for dualboot must repartition sd card...
Simply use yukixbmod rom, and send partition cab and sd unlock cab... easier and better than old way of partitioning in other roms.. Time consuming

not agree with you... for dualbooting, better is ROM's is which not lock card (Pdaimatejam, HD2O or CTRLPDA FSM HD2)

i'm following this guide but at the end after i have loaded the sd rom onto SD card and done the boot to SD i get a SD file not found or something like that.
do you have to edit anything after you transfer the android folder to the SD card?

I only said that because partitioning of sd, using easus manager is time consuming.

no...all video is recorded without pause, only cut time where waiting time to flash WP7, copy time when copy paste ICS folder to SD and first loading time for Android.... nothing changed, edited or worked... all job is recorded...
you need to make the appropriate settings in magldr for android
services/ boot settings/ ad sd dir (android sd directory)---select your android folder , accept by pressing green call button
you will need to change boot settings also to "always show menu"
boot into android
i got my issue resolved, i wasn't swapping in the edited rootfs file and startup.txt.
it's what this video shows near the end.
perhaps it's not needed with the SD rom that you are using in that video. I tried but it didn't work for me.
thank you for doing that video. i watched that video before i even bought the hd2 and it's one of the reasons i did.
this device is amazing
