Galaxy Tabs side glass squeaking - Galaxy Tab 7.7 General

Looks like these tabs starts to squeak around 3 weeks of usage...
Its the glass and sides not mating perfectly now...
You can feel it when to slight press the glass against the sides..
Anyone start having this issue ?

I've been using my tab for almost 2 weeks and I've no complaints so far.

2 weeks, no squeaking. But it sometimes hoots like a barn owl.

yes, on right bottom corner.

Bottom left corner for me, but only slightly. Not bothered by it though.

this would be a real concern if it gets lose.

Same here. Is it software orscreen issue?

weird scuff or something under glass?

I've noticed 4 distinct 'scuffs' or 'stains' that appear to be under my glass. I don't know how else to describe them. I didn't notice them when I first got the phone, but you can only see them at a good angle where there's no glare, so the may have always been there. Now I can't *not* notice them. I'll try to post a picture tonight, it's a bit hard to photograph. I think if someone has it they would know what I'm talking about...
Does it kind of look like a gel substance underneath the glass?

Hmmm maybe.. if I took a micro-drop of gel or glue and pressed it.... i'll try to post a pic later tonight.
its the oleophobic coating peeling off i think
Okay here are two pics of two of these things. I have four of them. I scratch and rub them and nothing, as if they are just beneath the surface...
From what I'm seeing it just looks like a scuff or scratch. I had a palm pixie before and it had the same markings on it.. Idk what it is.

I had something similar on my previous Nexus S. I think it's made from steam settling under glass.
I am on my second handset (Sprint) San Antonio, TX and both have had screen issues... I did notice something quite similar to your issue on my current handset but mine resides closer to the ear piece and camera... besides that I'm also experiencing the keyboard ghosting issue very visible when I open my notification menu.... I'm kinda hesitant to get a replacement since thus far my screens issues have only doubled ...

He is correct, mine is doing the same thing. Look at it this way, at least the top of your screen isn't separating, mine flexes'and'goes up and down under minimal pressure and makes all kinds of noise, its weird.

I think this seems to be the most likely scenario from my google research and comparison of other pics. Ugh. Hopefully it won't get worse. What's the replacement/repair policy? Call Samsung or take it to Best Buy ? It's been over 30 days.
Definitely not scuff marks, I keep the thing in a sock and treat it like gold.
I am currently on hold waiting for a rep at Samsung.....it has been 1 hour and 45 minutes and I have not talked to anyone... so if calling Samsung is what you opt to do ... get yourself a samwich and a six pack before hand!!
So I finally got through to a rep.... and they said...
JK... I gave up after 5 hour hold.(seriously) ...and decided the issue was minimal at this point

I have similar problems, except it'll only show if I breath moist air on to it. If you cover it up with a decent screen protector, it should go away unless the mark is really deep.

Not sure f screen separation or paranoid..

So my n7 from the play store has been pretty awesome. Checked the screen test app and I have no dead pixels. My battery is fine.
But reading the forums makes me paranoid. I could sworn when I first got it, the left side was depressed more so the silver outlining felt raised. Now the bezel and silver lining seem to be level. There`s no creakiness when I put pressure on the side though. Am I just being paranoid?

Same here, I picked mine up at staples and opened it up right there knowing about the problems. It was fine for about a week, then
the middle of the left side started to raise a little. didn't bother me too much until today, wife was playing with it and she noticed it.
Trust me, she don't notice anything!! after I looked, it got a little worse so I have til Monday to bring it back.
Initially my screen was basically level with the bezel, maybe a small portion of the left middle side of the screen raising just above the bezel. It wasn't that noticeable. After a week though, it has gotten worse. Not "screen falling off worse," but a much larger amount of the screen is above the bezel now in the left middle area.

[Q] Does screen lift get worse with time?

Hi,
I just got my new nexus 7 for Christmas. I noticed that the screen was a little mushy on the left side. The screen glass on the left side near the middle is raised above the bezel. It's an area of about two inches along the edge that is raised. If I lightly press in that area, the glass goes below the bezel. I assume that this is the screen lift issue that I've read about. My question is if it will continue to get worse over time. I have found nothing else wrong with it. If this is as bad as it will ever get, I am thinking about just keeping it.
Just keep an eye on it. I've read it will start to ripple and then crack in worst case scenario but Asus will fix it if that happens.

Mine hasn't gotten worse.

Ive been rocking mine since the first preorders went out, and it had the usual minor screen lift on the left side. Has remained exactly the same since, so ive stopped worrying, but ive read horror stories, and still keep an eye on it from time to time

Nexus 4 Creaking

Do anyone have creaking in the Nexus 4 if do is it worth a replacement
Are you talking about cracking with the speaker or with the glass.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
I have some creaking in two spots on the sides. One is located above the volume rockers (which is pretty loose) and the other is on the same side but towards the bottom of the phone. If everything else is working perfectly on your phone, I don't think it's worth an RMA. Slap on a bumper and you'll never notice the creaking. Plus, it doesn't hamper any functionality on the phone so it's a minor issue imo.

i have noticed mine creaking as well. mine is on the back where the lg logo is, on the side where the power button is by. if i put any pressure back there it creaks. i was worried it might be lose but i figured they might all do that. lol

i had the annoying creaking on my phone too. i tried fixing it by opening the back panel and checking it but there is nothing that i could do to make it stop so i just slapped a bumper on it and called it done.
My phone creaks mercilessly at the bottom where the USB port is, on either side, but even more noticeably on the right side. Like others have said, the bumper will "fix" the issue, but it's not really an ideal solution IMO. I've wondered if tightening the screws at the bottom would help/fix the issue but I don't have a T4 screwdriver :-/

Is there a solution of that creaky noise at the bottom near the USB-Port? Btw. where does it come from this creaky noise? Hollow space?

I figure it's not worth an RMA. The replacement may be the same. Anytime I apply some pressure I hear some "sticky / glue" sound. It's just not worth RMA'ing if my device is working as it should.

Mine is creaking, right above the volume rocker, have a poetic bumper on, still notice it, and it's annoying but not worth an rma.

Mine has a slightly different issue. If I press on the back glass in roughly the middle of the phone (maybe below/left of center, slightly), the glass deforms a bit (you can see it in the reflection) and the phone makes a light "pop" sound.
I think it's the edge of the bezel deforming slightly on the left side. I can see it move slightly (the black plastic side comes out a fraction of a fraction of a centimeter from the silver part).
have the same problem. I will replace it if the problem becomes worse. but as of now it's only creaking. I have speaker problems and will replace it soon.

one plus 5 drop test?

Guys, recently I purchased a brand new 1+5.After 4 days of usage I am in love with the handset but suddenly on one fine day, it was slipped from my hand.I was so frightened to pick up the mobile and to see its condition. The major ground impact was on (up-right) corner.when i picked it up and seen it it the corner was weared out and the glass was broken up to front camera lenses. One plus 5 is very sensitive to handle
but the mobile is working perfectly but it's too sensitive to survive a drop test.
Ouch! That's sad! I am always afraid of such incidents and that's why I always get a flip cover.
When I ordered my 1+5 , I also got their flip cover to be safe.

Mine fell from my shorts when sitting and hit the lower left corner, flipped, hit upper right corner. One dent and one scratch. I'm a little disappointed with the built quality

If it hadn't dented your screen would be shattered. That's why phone manufacturers user aluminum for chassis which is soft. Helps absorb impacts and saves screens.
poor quality
i have oneplus 1 i dropped many time and still working fine until today but i think the quality now is going down, i got oneplus 5 q0 day ago today the screen stop working and becomes black but the touch is working fine. i think it is hardware issue
