[Q] 7.7 (p6810) Missing FC CE marking - Galaxy Tab 7.7 General

I ordered my tablet on ebay and it arrived from Hong Kong, it came in retail packaging. When i was looking at it from the outside on the back, i noticed it didnt have the FC CE marking. My question is, does that mean it is a fake or their is something wrong with it? It says made in Korea and it is the wifi only model.

I think it would be pretty hard to fake the 7.7 unless someone broke in to the factory. It's pretty distinguishable.
Those markings are for devices with cell radios licensed for sale in the US and Europe.

thanks for answering. I just hope its not like a defective tablet. Its just weird because all reviews i see on youtube show the marking, same for all the images online

I have a HK version P6810(WiFi) and mine doesn't have the FC CE marking on it or the box either.
It does have a "FCC ID A3LGTP6810" marking on the brushed aluminum back and also a "Made in Vietnam by Samsung" marking. Yours says "made in Korea"??

im talking about the same location where you find made in vietnam. except mine does not have Fcc or fc mark and states it is made in korea.

Made in Vietnam here too, but it's a P6800.

[Q] Country of origin for GSII sold on Newegg.com

Anyone know the country of origin of the GSII that Newegg.com is selling?
It doesn't look like it's Europe because in the product picture tour it has what looks to be a US travel charger. Other vendors that sell the GSII show European chargers with a US converter added.
Central, South American maybe?
Bump? Talked to Newegg in an email and they replied made in Korea....sigh.....
Sigh? You rather want one made in china? Remember samsung is in korea.
No, i wanted to know where they imported this phone from not where it was actually manufactured.
Get it from Expansys, they should be shipping UK phones now that supply is keeping up with demand. Tell them you want a UK phone when you place the order and you should be fine. If it ends up being something else, they're easy to work with for exchanges too. They'll also ship the phone back to the UK for you should you ever need warranty work whereas the newegg.com phone is sold without a warranty.
I bought mine from overseaselectronics.com and it came with U.S. samsung OEM charger and last but least it's made in china...but the quality of the phone is top notch, I don't think it's a knock offs....Oh...this version of the phone when you first power on the phone it's in different language as a default.
I just got my SG2 from newegg yesterday. I can't tell where it's from. I guess I'll have to do some more reading to find out what the differences are.

I bought mine from Amazon. It's from Claro carrier in Chile, but I flashed the European ROMs with XEU and they update just fine in KIES.
Thanks nraudigy2.
I did get mine from newegg.com and from what I can tell it's not from Korea.

[Q] UK version vs EU version hardware difference ?

I have ordered UK version Note from Handtec but they by mistake send me EU version . Just before send it back wondering if is any hardware difference between them . Sticker under battery says Made by Samsung , battery - Made in Japan/Finished in Korea. My old SGS2 sticker says Made in Korea by Samsung , battery Made in Korea/ Finished in China. Can someone with UK version check for me where battery and handset are made ? please.

As far as I know....handtec does not guarantee UK versions...
I had 3 phones from them:
1. Polish
2. German
3. UK
Don't think there are any difference bw the hardwares...all have dead pixels...
ps. If there's nothing wrong with the phone you have received, why would you want to send it back?
Although...I did notice the pen responsiveness is better on my UK...but that could be the phone itself rather than the version difference.
can't see that where it was made would make a difference, as their factories likely produce models on different lines according to market. Anyways, for what it's worth mine was UK purchased from CPW and phone says made in Korea by Samsung, battery made in Japan/finished in Korea.
Main thing is does the phone work where you are, in which case what's the problem?

weird writing on the back plate of my GS7 EDGE

Hi,
My gs7 edge is the international model (SM-G935F). I bought it from an official samsung reseller here in Greece. At the back of the phone though everything looks fine (IMEI, S/N, YATELEY UK address) except where the phone only says "designed & engineered by samsung". Shouldn't there be also the "manufactured or made in Vietnam"???
On phone info app everything looks fine. phone was manufactured in Vietnam on 15/4/16
Anyone know anything about this? Please let me know.
Thanks
my G935F doesn't say made in vietnam either
Nothing to worry about
The "made in Vietnam" text is only written on the box.
On my SM-G935F gold version, it says Manufactured in Vietnam on the back.
On my SM-G935FD silver version, it says Manufactured in Vietnam on the back.
My black 935F says made in Vietnam
tapped on #datbombv7EchoeRom
My black does not list place of manufacture on the back.
Mine says "Manufactured in Vietnam".

install phoneinfo some r made in korea like my old note 5 maybe that's why.
Better than what I went through. Mine had weird hieroglyphics on them and suddenly the phone turned into a robot and tried to attack me. Luckily Samsung replaced my phone under warranty.

What kind of stiker "synnex.com.hk" on a phone box?

When I was buying the phone at the store, I noticed on the box green sticker with hieroglyph and site “synnex.com.hk”.
If I understood it correctly, Synnex is a distributor (USA, Canada, Japan). But I have some questions:
Is it typically for nexus 6p?
Where this phone was intended to? (because I buy it in Ukraine, version 1512)
Isn’t this sticker suspicious?
anybody?

.hk is Hong Kong. Looks like it's the Hong Kong distributor or service centre.

Do you mean that it can be refurbished phone?
Did you actually go to the website? It appears to be an online retail shop rather than a wholesale distributor. If the phone works right in your region I wouldn't worry about what region the phone was intended for.

Bought an S8 with broken seal. Should I keep it?

I bought a s8 dual sim (on 6.9.2017), where the seal on the package was broken. The package looked suspicious, so I filmed the unboxing. Someone put a seal over the original one. The Samsung seal below was cut.
So I returned to the dealer and he told me it must have been the importer who checked the phone. Now Im trying to find out if the phone was used before. Used the "Phone INFO ★Samsung★" App to check
Congratulations!
Your phone is ORIGINAL.

The manufacturing date is: 2017.04.30
I checked the serial number on imei24.com and get following results:
Division: Mobile Phone (HHP)
Production location: Korea SEC
Manufacture line: 8-Line
Production month: May 2017
Factory warranty till: 31-07-2019

the price was around 615 euro, thats 25 euro more than the cheapest new non dual sim s8 around. but 150 euro less than the average price for a s8 duos.
What do you think happened here. Is it a refurbished/used phone? Or did someone just check the package. What would you do? I really appreciate any help. Thanks in advance
For what you are getting at the price, I wouldn't really be worried about the Seal, If you are buying from a company like eglobal central which is a UK website but phone ships from Korea etc, the phones always come with the seal broken but the device itself is new, I have read somewhere also that although some models will work outside of their country of sale, but you need to make a 5 minutes call from the country of original release before it can be used from another country, I am not sure how true this is.
Read the comment on this link https://www.techwalls.com/samsung-galaxy-s8-sm-g950-g955-model-number-differences/
Most of these devices coming from outside of europe will probably arrive with the seal broken especially if buying from ebay so I wouldnt be worried really.
I am just about to buy a SM-G955 (Korea) 6GB/128GB on ebay UK, coming from ireland or Korea. I intend to flash with a Europe/Uk CSC once I receive it.
Yeah sounds reasonable. That's also the reason why I didn't return the phone immediately, because I remembered reading on a website from a legit dealer that they open the package to remove the region lock. But I got a little bit paranoid because the dealer seemed suspicious and after checking with the phone info app i got this weird warning that the manufacturing date does not match with the serial number, which is weird.
Thanks for your advice.
