Where to buy U.S.A. ?? - Galaxy Tab 7.7 General

Ok Now...
I have decided to get one of these 6800's..
I intend to put my AT$T sim card in the thing so I can use it as my weekender.
Web, phone, SMS, txt, video calls, emails.. etc... Do it ALL just like a Galaxy Note..
So I'd like some hints on where to buy from..
I want to make sure that I get the correct version (unlocked, international; quadband? At$t ready.)..
And price should matter as well into the choice...
So please post your recommendations here....
I will get one within a few days..
Thanks to all who read this and thanks to all who reply..
All replies are welcomed and encouraged..
Thanks again.. jh

This seller is tops. You'll get your unlocked P6800 from Singapore within a few business days.

Negri Electronics is also a good option. Type "gift" in the coupon line and get $30 off.

Thanks guys..
I just pulled the trigger @ Negri.... 638 and change...
Now we wait.......
ps.. Do you'se think that ICS will come out for this 6800???

It was on a list of devices that Samsung Italy released would receive ICS. I am not holding my breath for when it will happen but I would guess it will. This seems to be their premier device so I would think they would want to.

does anyone know if Negri ships to Canada?
i just tried their website and it's broken
it loads partially the rest it throws database errors, i'm not so sure if can trust that business if they can't even maintain their website working properly

SGBEST.com?
I was browsing around and stumbled upon sgbest.com website in Singapore. Anyone ever use them? Looked like the 7.7 wifi only would run $575 with shipping to the US.

no way i'm not buying anything from those Asian based shippings
not for something worth $700
for a cheap $3 accessories i don't mind, but for something some expensive i want original
same reason why i've not yet put any order on any of those ebay sellers, as they are.... not trust worthy IMO

jus pulled the trigger too. thanks for the discount code. now i jus gotta keep my mind off it til it gets here.

I also bought mine from ebay, user rose528400. Free one day shipping and they included US adapter. No problems.

From this ebay seller:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Samsung...US_Tablets&hash=item41613498a3#ht_4843wt_1297
Judging by their volume, they're probably a retail outlet in Singapore. There were no duty or customs fees, although the insert did say "personal documents". Whatever.

well... I am happy to save 37 US $$ and wait 3-5 more days... I can use that dough for a case and screen protex.. and may be a 5$ Sub sandwich.... cold cut combo!!!! toasted.
Speaking of cases and screen protex.....?? is there a thread yet??

I bought mine from them. No problems at all. But I do live in Singapore and went to their office to collect...my precious...personally, from someone who turns out to speak with a Korean accent to boot.

I just pulled the trigger on one from ebay. the seller has sold 7 in the last month and no bad ratings. Got it for $550 + $10 shipping for 2 day fedex. Can't wait till it gets here! I also got a case from cellguru before the price increase and sounds like they are out of stock now too

did you guys get an USB cable? mine only came with charger :\

To answer a few questions in 1 shot.
I purchased the device from David who owns :http://www.dweiniger.com
i paid a total of:Total:$1,175.76
On 05/17/2007
I have used the phone a total of 10 times.Tried the GPS navigation. The phone has no call time on it whatsoever.I also purchased a LG i style blue tooth for this device that i might include with the device.Which i used for about a week for another mobile.I also purchased the 3 in 1 connector for the phone.
I will ship it for $1,000.00 to the United States and if you live in another Country $1,000.00 for the device and then we can research for the cheapest shipping option for you..The phone is unlocked and has a 3 year warranty courtesy of HTC. I just don't use it.I thought i would but i have other gadgets that suit my needs more than this does.Don't get me wrong its a nice device but its too big to do what i do in my everyday life.If you are interested in this device please leave me a message here or email me @ [email protected] for a faster reply.
Regards
More Detail

here is some unsolicited advice,
drop the price down to below the price of 7501, the only difference is the front camera..and frankly, at least in the US the camera is useless...
you still haven't replied to ques as to where in florida do you live
Meaning what exactly? Why would i not give the users of XDA first of the pick instead of going to ebay.I know i could get well over 1,200.00 on eBay as i have noted the sales,BUT im not out to price gouge anyone.Just want someone else whom does not have the same money to be able to own this merchandise
I have responded to where i live in Florida via email.I am in North Florida. As far as the X7501.You will not be able to purchase the device with shipping for $950.00(next day shipping) so your theory about the price being lower is not suffice to the subject @ hand.As previously stated. The device was used the first 4 days that i purchased it and has been in my desk drawer every since then. There is NO CALL TIME on this phone. Its just like you ordering a phone that has been sitting on a shelf for months at a time.
HTC Advantage X7501padRegular Price: $1,299.99padSale Price: $1,279.95
And the cheapest that they are selling for is 999.00 excluding shipping.

Want to buy the nexus off this site but..

Hi i want to buy the nexus one off this site http://www.cellplususa.com/ but idk if its creditable site or its a scam. I can't find any info from it and I found the site on craiglist. Have you had experience with this site and do you think I should buy? The phone there is only 450.
couldn't find anything on it at resellersratings.com so not so sure it's a legit site.
Here is my suggestion on this:
Ok, research shows that they have not been in business for long at all (like under a week or so).
For this reason, you won't find any information on them.
Are they reputable? Hard to say, but things that would keep ME from buying from them is that their website has absolutely NO contact information at all.
They also don't tell you if the phone is NEW, Refurbished or used. How they are selling them for so much less is beyond me because, as far as I know, Google is not wholesaling them to ANYONE. The only legit way to get it new is through Google's shop.
Just my $0.02...
Ebay is the way...
Hey Sasha
Buy it from Ebay and to make sure its a good deal - go with sellers using PayPal as the payment method.. And if you are lucky - You can actually make a good deal thru ebay...
Good luck... Its a cool phone - Nexus One kicks ass.. ;-)

Yeah i know its a awesome phone but ebay prices are more expensive than google!
lol "on sale" yeah ok.
DO NOT buy from there.
What does common sense tell you?
Tells me this site is 100% scam. I love the $10 COD option, though, with a same day delivery guarantee. Someone should test it out!
Sure... But..
The chance to find the phone to the same price as on the google-site will probaly not be easy.. Everyone wants to make money - so you can look everywere - You probaly won't find it anywhere to the same price..
You can make good deals on Ebay trust me..
But good luck with your search

Not enough of a profit margin to make it work TBH, and also, a pain in the but way to get their supply since they will have to get a LOT of people to open and account to get the phone just to cancel.
Either way, I say stay away.

There were people in Hong Kong, one of the four countries (wait...Hong Kong is...whatever) got the head start, complaining that when they received their DHL package it was empty inside. So would there be any chance that some people took those phones and sell them damn cheap...?

Not sure about that, but like I said in my original reply, there is NO contact information on the site whatsoever, who would you call if there was an issue?
Also, if those people that had their go missing reported it, Google could Black-List the ESN's and they would be worthless.
SO not worth the risk...

Any dependable online store to buy Arc from ?

Righto, people here are ****ing incompetent when it comes to recieving some of new stuff immediately, so I guess I want to order online and save myself the trouble.
Tried Amazon.de, they don't ship to Croatia
Gummobile.com (where I got mine) does reasonable international shipping I believe. Cheapest price around in the UK as well.

With Xperia X10 I did the same thing. ATT didn't have it at first and I was OK but once they start carrying it they will automatically charge you for it. They have the system to recognize your phone when they are selling the same phone (my x10 was unbranded and unlocked but still recognized in their system). Till this day, I have not heard any news from ATT releasing it but eventually someone will and better that not to be ATT

The VAT price you pay for them ( 20% ), my country has 23% - will I need to just add extra 3% on top of the already paid 20%, or will I need to pay double tax fee ?
Oh and.. if my credit card account shows Euros as balance, can I just directly pay with that and they'll automatically sort euros into british pounds, or will I need to swap currency on my account into british pounds altogether ?
Ow and, do they accept Visa electron ? ( expansys )
Seems gummobile doesn't as it ain't listed
Did you try GUMMobile on ebay?
HERE
Nah, they only accept payment by paypal there, afaik.
Apparently expansys has outlet in Slovenia that delivers to my country, but they only accept bank-to-bank account transfer, and on top of it I might get slapped in the face by having to pay another VAT when I go pick up the device ( EU VAT is 20% afaik, and Croatia VAT is 23%, it'd suck so bad to have to pay VAT again instead of just adding extra 3% on top of what I already paid ).
Dunno, I'm torn apart. Why does this country suck so bad when it comes to new stuff

I totally feel your pain... The country I live in sucks just as much.
I'm thinking about buying the Arc from clove.co.uk. Heard good things about them. Wouldn't have to pay the UK VAT but then when I pick it up here, probably gonna have to add 34%
Damn you government, for taking my money!!!
At the risk of sounding like an agent of theirs because I live in the same country, I'd like to recommend these guys:
http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/Brand-New-Se...ile_Phones&hash=item1c1ac8cfb7#ht_2118wt_1139
At the time of writing this, they still have a feedback rating of 100%, and I'm not surprised - their service seems to be pretty good. I've gotten a couple of phones from them and they both arrived sealed and untouched in the box.
I see prices are much lower than what some of the European sellers are offering, too. Currently SGD750, which is, what, USD590?
Still, this is only a recommendation. YMMV.

Expansys is AMAZING...US ADAPTER INCLUDED

They put in a FREE Adapter to US Electric plugs in the shipping box!! Isn't that amazing!?!?
They didn't even tell us they were going to do that.
wow a whole thread for an adapter :|
That's pretty cool of them!
I didn't get a US adapter so maybe it's just me to have bad luck but be warned. You might not get an adapter with your phone.
Those cost a dollar. Not exactly amazing with an $841 purchase, but thoughtful.

Just dropping in to confirm I got one with mine, too. Nice surprise to see it in there, but totally didn't expect it. Went so far as to look for older compatible chargers before I found it in the box.
Did you order it from the expansys.com or expansys-usa store?
So wait, you accepted phone with broken Samsung seal? I would be pissed if I received phone without factory seal or if it wasnt broken in front of me.
he said it was in the SHIPPING box. not the phone box itself...
Mine was in the shipping box from Expansys-USA. The adapter is big, won't fit in the SGS2's box no matter what you try.

If you didn't receive the US adapter with your order, email us at [email protected] and we will send you one. We try to include a US power adapter with every order that we know has an international power supply in the box.
Just coming by to say that expansys IS amazing. They've been awesome to deal with.
Give them your money.
Mine inside too!!!!!

By "us" I take it you're with Expansys USA. Any chance of getting a US warranty with the GS2?
(I'm on the fence on this device, primarily due to all the posts I've read regarding having to get a replacement, or more than one, due to some HW problem. It's impossible to quantify the failure rate by reading forums like this, but the prospect of possibly having to swap phones via shipments to the UK has got to be putting off some buyers.)

Yes, buy it through an authorized dealer in the UK and then you can have it serviced by Samsung in the U.S. under their global warranty program. If it's a UK product, with a UK invoice, billed in GBP, you're covered worldwide.
Expansys USA is acting as an intermediary and shipping the phone back to the UK for service via their UK office. It's really cool that they're doing that. But it adds several days each way that you'll be without your phone.
BTW, do we really need two pages of posts on the incredible inclusion of a $5 UK>US adapter?

[Q] Cheapest Place for Galaxy s2 in the US?

title says it all...since the galaxy s2 isnt available by any carrier yet...where is the cheapest place to get it? Ive only seen it on expansys...any others?
Prices seem to be slowly but steadily decreasing, here are probably the best places to keep an eye on.
Amazon, Google Shopping, and eBay. I would post links, but I don't have enough posts yet. You can find direct links at pastebin.com / mLf88e7L (without spaces ).
Amazon has them for like $689 right now + Prime
Try unlocked mobiles its the chepeast I found
Then Amazon then handtec then expansys
Thanks for posting as well; I'm thinking about getting one; I'm hoping to stay under 700.

get a sd card if u dont have one ( for backups etc - CWM )
I just bought mine from an Amazon seller (Warehouse Distributors). It was $684 with free shipping.
It just shipped, so I'll update you guys. I am a bit worried that they will screw me somehow (seem small, don't have their own domain for email or website), but calling them got to a live person, and seem friendly enough. In fact, they were able to pricematch when their price dropped a day later by $14 (was $698 when I ordered).
I hope it's not an open box or a box of rocks. Actually, if it was a box of rocks, it'd be suspicious even without opening since the phone is super light!
Either way, I'll update you guys on how it went. I'm expecting the phone by the end of this week.
i placed my order @ mobilecityonline.com last week. it was $699 + $4.99 shipping - $20 online coupon = $684.99 shipped. however, its price has risen since then, so apparently it was temporarily on sale. basically, just keep looking around bc its always changing on different sites, and look out for coupons.

Keep us updated on how it goes. I saw Mobile City, but avoided them because I read some negative reviews.

I was hesitant about buying from most of the import sites in the US but surprisingly mobilecityonline has far less negative reviews than other sites dealing the sgs2 such as popularelectronics.com or negri. I received it just like they promised via fedex no issues. They even called me and emailed me to confirm my purchase and stressed that i have 14 days to return it.
The only gripe is that they listed it as the UK version but when i got it, it said Samsung Romania on the label and included non-english manuals. Also, the US power adapter that came in the box isn't working for me. No biggie tho bc everything else checked out. Used it for 2 days now and so far im satisfied.

US power adapter in the box? Did they open the factory box to put it in there?
I didn't even think of them putting another country's phone in there. I would be expecting the UK version.
I would expect a US power adapter included with an international phone. Any others wanna chime in?
And the box was factory sealed.

Amazon seems to still be the cheapest place to get the SGS2 (~700 dollars, give or take a couple).

How so?
Unlocked mobiles has it for $656 shipped USD
http://www.unlocked-mobiles.com/
Clove has it for $663 USD shipped
http://www.clove.co.uk/
Shipped from the UK.
Why suck my grits. After I took a risk and bought it from an Amazon seller, I found this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16875176292
It doesn't get any better than $689.99 + $5.99 shipping from none other than NEWEGG.
A trusted place with excellent customer service. Can't go wrong with NewEgg. At least it will benefit the people who waited.
Now... say thank you!
nfc included?
I wonder, does the newEgg version comes with NFC?
Also, been that it is been bought from an U.S. seller, can I get warranty from squaretrade for this phone? I know can i can buy it in the u.k. and get squaretrade in the u.k., but i dont want to have to send it to squaretrade u.k., I prefer the u.s. squaretrade.

I wouldn't know. Call up Newegg to find out. I don't see the NFC on the specs.

Finally got it yesterday. Was in a unpadded box. But turned out okay for the most part.
Had a US power supply. Looks like a Latin America model (primary language on the box was Spanish, and so was the manual).
I found 5 green pixels when viewing a dark gray background.
ordered mine last week from amazon for 689 with FREE prim 2 day shipping. I payed the extra 3.99 for one day shipping. I had no issues with the shipping process, everything went smooth. One important thing i will add though is that when i recieved my phone the battery was completely dead, i had to keep the phone on the charger for about an hour and a half before i could turn it on. Eventually i put the phone in download mode and then pressed the down volume rocker which restarts the phone. My version was in polish, so it took a few moments to find the language setting and switch it to english. I found the whole preces pretty cosmical and my friends think im crazy for purchasing an unlocked european phone. But then again they all have Blackberrys so there opinion is moot lol. Im loving my phone right now and dont remember the last time i was this satisfied from an expensive purchase.
edit... i just read that some people had some worries about the shipping condition. my phone was shipped in two boxes. the first was the standard shipping box. then it was in a bigger cell phone style box. similar to what you would get from a carrier. this box was a little beat up, but thankfully the official samsung box was inside in great condition and still sealed. so for who ever was wondering, my us dongle was in the second box not the official samsung box where the actual phone, earphones, sync cable, and euro charger was in.
Handtec is offering £404.98 (shipping included) for North American buyers. That's only 570 Cdn.... It's suprisingly lower than the pricetag on amazon or other non-Euro sites. The price's been decreasing, too. Anyone know why the price has been decreasing steadily (as mentioned in the previous thread)? Is it because of the upcoming iPhone 5 or because of market saturation in Europe? I might order one after Canadian carriers confirm their models. I refuse to buy a SGSII with the LCD variant
