İ bought a new hd2 with android 2.3.3 on it it works great but on incoming calls the ringing is very low can anyone tell me how if possible to boast the ringing volume so its a lot louder.

I'm very sorry in advance if this is a repeated topic but actually i found a lot of threats that talks about the ringing tone problem.
I wonder if anyone would provide me here with the cab. file that fixes this problem, i'll be very thankful.
Also i'm from Egypt and i bought SE X1 from UK so the arabic language is not enabled in it.

Well, the arabic support file works fine with, im using US-en interface but sure can send/receive messages in arabic.

what can i do now?
And about the ringing tone problem, its' volume is too low
i need a program to fix this very very big problem.
i don't know how SE put a great phone in the market with a problem like this !!!

Hi. I didn't find any problem with my X1's ring tone. Please don't select mp3 or polyphonic ringtones that has very low recording volumes, because X1 will not be able to enhance the low volume of such tones. Try this tone, like phones.mp3, which i donwloaded from SE X1 site. This tone is very loud for me, if it is not in your phone then there might be a problem.
Note also the position of the speakers in X1, its at the bottom area left and right side, almost to the same level of CALL and END botton. When you are holding your X1 or if it its inside the pouch then the speakers are obstructed, giving you a low ring sound.

I have the same problem too.
Maybe srs wow hd will help to incrase volume a bit, but I didn't test it yet.

I installed SRS WOW and this helped to increase the volume.Works good.
But i would like a "registry tweak" to increase the volume,without install any programs.
Which version you installed and works? I tested with the 1.5.1 version and doesn't work, sound stop working.
Can you give us a link?

Where u got it from? Seems like its been pulled from the android market. ..
It only creates a blank record file while recording a call...

As long as Android doesn't provide the necessary API's, you won't find a decent solution.

I just checked all my calls and it seams that only calls between me and the wifey (att dumbphone) are the only calls i can hear both parties loud and clear.
Other likes my brother (tmobile mytouch) and sister (att samsung somecrap) I can only hear myself talking.

Hey my HD2 just suddenly started playing the dialer sounds and the screen lock and unlock sounds at very low volume. i wanted to know how do i increase the volume so i can hear the lock and unlock sound louder and also the dialer sound? can anyone help me out?

I had the same problem and i have also send message to Motorola Support team but they could not help me.
I have created an app for my phone, and I solved the problem.
If any one has a same problem, send me email and i will forward the app.

Ok so I downloaded the android 4.2 Rom last night on my HTC and unfortunately there is no sound when the phone rings nor when you are in the ringtone settings switching between the various tones. Please assist.

I tried it unfortunately it still is not working...
my speaker phone works
it chimes when i receive emails
my phone calls have sound
I just dont get anything from any of the ringtones

Ask on the ROM's thread, maybe someone had your same problem and could help you... or maybe is a bug and needs to be fixed

Hi guys the same story with mine HTC HD2 with CM 10.1 no sound from the ringtones - actually found some nice mp3. and set it as a ringtone keep in touch if there is some fix

I never had this issue... because I use 2 sound profile on my desktop (loud and silence) and I switch often between them. So if my volume is low I always reset tapping on my desktop shortcut.
These shortcut sets all kind of volumes, so I'm sure when I tap on them that everything is setted right everywhere
