[Q] What does sales code do?

Hi, I flashed my SGS to JM8 and the sales code now is KOR. My SGS is a UK 3 locked one. Should I change it to CPW or XEU? I don't have a H3G in the list so those two are the only UK code.
But what exactly does sales code do? I can use my phone without a problem with this KOR code...
KOR means Korea
you flashed a Korea firmware?
you installed the BETA buggy Froyo 2.2 ?

Flash official unbranded rom on a Note 3 branded

Hello all,
I own a Galaxy Note 3 which has an Orange branded rom (France carrier), and I'm thinking of flashing a stock unbranded rom of France.
I'd like to know if there is going to be a region lock problem and also if the knox will be triggered.
You see I'm living in Greece and not in France. (If the region matters) ?
Thanks in advance.
No and No to both questions.
You can flash an official unbranded ROM over an official branded ROM. If you stay in the same region (EU) or even more safely, the same country, then this won't trigger KNOX.
Just grab the newest XEF and you'll be fine.
(I get people to do this with TNL and PHN on a daily basis)

[Q] Firmware download form different country??

ive seen other threads on this topic but none really answered properly.
I live in Ireland and bought my phone unlocked from the UK , i want to get my stock firmware back but i cant find one that suits my model and version. So would i
harm my device if i used a firmware from a different country that has the correct firmware i want????
s4 i9505
If the phone is unlocked you shouldn't have any issues. Except with CSC maybe.
whats CSC exactly?
Consumer Service Code, which is what Samsung uses to customize the firmware for a particular region. With devices that are locked to their carriers this also means the apps that the carrier wishes to add to the firmware. In your case, since your S4 is not locked to a carrier you can install any stock ROM you wish from any region. For example, my unlocked I9505 was originally on O2 in the UK (CSC O2U). When I purchased it from its original owner it came to me with Slovenian firmware (SI Mobil, CSC SIM). I subsequently flashed unbranded firmware onto the device and ended up with a device that thought it was Swiss (CSC AUT). In this last instance, three Swiss-specific apps were added that are not found in the other versions of the firmware. These apps were added because the CSC reported itself to the firmware installer and said, "install these apps as well". Had I changed the CSC to BTU I likely would have gotten some UK-specific firmware.

G935FD - which country of origin?

Hey Guys,
I received my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Duos yesterday and immediately installed after the first setup the available update for Nougat. I tried to get the preinstalled Samsung Pay working, which should be available in my current location (Switzerland). I noticed that the samsung pay app is completely chinese so I started digging for the country of origin of this specific device.
I was a bit baffled that sammobile doesn't list the buildnumber of the firmware which is G935FXXU1DQCT. When I looked up the CSC code (*#1234#) it is showing me G935FZZT1DQCT. I read that ZZT should be the country code but I couldn't find anything about that code.
Can somone tell me which country of origin my device has? My previous Galaxy S5 Duos was UAE.

CSC for international version ?

Hi i have a 9500 S4 Exynos version, the international version, i recently upgraded to Lineageos but i want to go back to stock but i don't know which Rom to choose because of the region code. i live in dominican republic and i don't want to install the one for my country because it will probably be filled with bloatware from Claro (local carrier) and i don't know if it will probably lock the phone, the phone is factory unlocked by the way. Can someone can pass a link for a Stock rom running lollipop with the international csc?
Download CSC CAU from sammobile.com, but I cannot provide a link due to site rules. CAU is for countries in the Caucasus mountain range in Europe, and is probably your best bet to be bloat free. You may still wish to download the Dominican Republic firmware anyway, in case of issues with the CAU firmware.
I'll try that
