Well it wasn't playing on an actual phone as you could see. Can't say anything about the smoothness untill you try it on your own phone Or did you already? I'm gonna try it out!
EDIT: I was right. Super smooth scrolling on homescreen and app drawer
EDIT2: The 3D app drawer wasn't as smooth but still smoother than in the video. Without the effect it's superb!
Interesting notes:
- You can set the app drawer background to transparent so it displays your wallpaper behind but reduces performance.
- Couldn't find an option to change the dock background easily, annoying.
- There are 8 different home screen scrolling transitions which all work perfectly smooth.
- There is no option to change app drawer / app opening transition, so you always get the zoom effect.
- 3D app drawer isn't perfectly smooth.
- It stutters for a fraction of second every time you open an app.
Other than that it's very nice launcher I'm still sticking to Launcher Pro because it's still much faster and because I have only one homescreen so I don't benefit from the cool transitions and stuff.

When I scan the barcode it just says it can't be found...? sigh...

I doubt it. I care for speed more than for fancy transitions and I already bought Launcher Pro Plus. Also using the calender widget from that.

2 problems, ADW freeze two times so I should reboot. and when I put a widget I can't delete ???

I doubt I'll ever use any other launched after buying this. Always liked ADW more then LP, but now, words cannot explain the love for Ander after this beauty

I tried it it´s just so amazingly fast and nice to watch.
Is there a way of loading the sense apps though?

It must have setting to change the icon of folder, sort icons, quick manager icons & folder.

I dont see myself buying it for now, I might not like it. Right now Im still enjoying the original SENSE and I have LP Pro so meh

Awesome launcher. I love the icon backgrounds/settings (gives icons a much more consistent look and size). Been using it a couple of days with Oxygen 2.0 RC with no problems at all. Its smooth and fast.
Worth every penny.

in the videos you should start talking the song is annoying as hell for me since i'm a teen and i'm used to some rock lol.
Muted it and put on some eminem (cool kid yeah!)

I do that because "I Found my Baby".... the rom. Grow up and listen to real music every now and then, it wont hurt. I'm 30.

My suggestion was for you to talk, instead of annotations, yet you tell me to grow up.

The rom and the launcher do look really nice and smooth. I'm still apprehensive to changing roms since I've become accustomed to my Nero v.5. Do you see any main differences between the 2 roms which would make me want to switch?
Either way, that rom looks great and thanks for putting up a quick overview for us to see.

Honestly, bionix was a big improvement over nero, for me... And this just seems SO much better. Again, everyone is different and I really like team whiskey and huge fan of Master.. This rom is just better right now. To be fair to Master, I haven't tried his latest, but I will... Esp excited about his miui port.

WOW, didn't realize this... That is a reason to speak and not use annotations. I've sent a tweet to see if there is a fix for that. Shame, I do it this way to not wake my daughter...

All the roms since nero 5 have improve on gps, speed, and data. That alone is enough to change rom. I've always found the TW releases to be very underwhelming to the eyes. Ugly black and green. Trigger looks terrific and performs like a champ. Great work edt.

^ they just released V2.1... I'm holding off until all the mods are updated (today/tomorrow) b/c I just love the semi-accurate battery mod that much... also, not sure how the rom could really be improved much to be honest.
edit, thought of one thing... seems like all froyo roms recently are limited to 4 windows in the browser, not sure why this is.

Who's the artist? Sounded a bit like Ray Charles then he did some George Benson type guitar scat? I watched on YouTube mobile so no notes, just to be sure this is what rom? PS can't you just use the battery mod app or theme the battery icon through metamorph?

[Q] 4x5 Desktop Mod on ROMs other than Gingeritis?

I'm just curious why other developers haven't picked up on this seemingly game changing feature. The 4x5 Desktop Mod. I feel spoiled.
I was messing around, installing ROMs over the weekend (just doing a monthly shuffle to see what's out there) and I came back to Gingeritis solely because of the 4x5 Desktop Workspace mod. There really is SO much good work being done right now, it's insane and there were a lot of features/themes I really liked on other ROMs. In the end though, it was just too tough to go back to the 4x4 desktop.
I'm asking from a 100% laymans standpoint... is this a difficult thing to incorporate into a ROM? Has it been done before and people didn't like it? I'm just curious to hear what you guys think...
The extra space for me is great on two accounts... the most obvious... the extra space. The less obvious is that it allows me to space out my icons with a little bit more style revealing more of my wallpaper. OCD, maybe. But awesome none-the-less.

Far from easy... It has been making me its ***** since I started... All of the Widgets need to modified, Rosie needs to be modified, etc. Chingy has a magic wand ya know ....

I don't run Gingeritis so what exactly is this "4x5 Desktop Mod" because solely from the name it sounds like a feature launchers have had for a while which provides the ability to change the rowXcolumn dimensions of the homescreens.
Maybe that isn't it and feel free to correct me as I'm actually curious what this feature is that users love so if it isn't that aspect.

Makes a lot of sense actually. I loved your ROM btw. Anytime I run through 4 or 5 Roms in a weekend I always am shocked at just how good all our developers are. Keep it up... if you get something going with the 4x5 desktop I'd be the first in line to install and test-drive it!!
EDIT: Just realized you're from Troy. I live in Royal Oak... basically on the border of Troy, Clawson, Birmingham and Royal Oak.

It's exactly what it sounds like and I believe you are understanding properly.
It formats the desktop workspace to be 4 columns and 5 rows. Just adds an extra row to your standard desktop.

I used to use ADW on my OG Droid. I've really enjoyed Sense so I haven't switched back over.
I don't believe I can use the Sense widgets (people, weather, etc) if I'm using ADW which is why I've stuck with my Rom of choice.

Wowowow... This thread is locked and I'll sort through it once I get home. Jeez people, play nice for a change.

Well i was look for new launcher came across this.
I installed it works OK still needs some work have a look!
Called Full screen launcher full version has alot more 3D effects.

I tried it, but I dont like it. The one long continuous home screen is cool, but I dont like the dullness that is the app drawer. All I want is the stock launcher with the ability to go to 1 home screen and change the grid size. Anyone know of such a thing for honeycomb?

i do not get the need to change to launcher ui.when I have my tablet in my hand im looking at a app I use. Don't care much for all the not needed flash .keep it simple save the CPU cycles and memory for the apps and browser.
With that said the pics look nice. Just dont see tthe point

Good responses I didn't like it cuz I have SPB shell and this launcher still needs alot of work to it in my eyes. That being said FOR THOSE THAT WANT CHANGE and don't wanna spend 15 on a 3D launcher this might be of interest which is why I decided to post

keeping it simple is why i want to removeall but 1 home screen and change my grid, but sadlyall these launchers app drawers are so bland

Who needs an App Drawer when you can have these Folder Cubes.
This video is after an hour or so of goofing with it.
No way was this a quick process. But it was easy to do.
Yes I did move every app from my App Drawer to the Folder
Cube on the desktop.
And no. You haven't lost or began to need reading glasses.
Just try imagine that I took the time to clear up the video a little bit.
There's not a lot that I can do to lessen the pointlessness. So. Much like the video. I didn't
even try to correct that one. Sorry E.R.

I will send a link to this video to the dev and see if there is a way to put large, and even customized icons (for the ones that it doesn't find.) into the cache somewhere. Maybe it will be an easy fix. Other than that I have to say that it is pretty nice on the Iconia. I don't regret buying it one bit. Now to find the Nook Color...

Look for a app called Folder Organizer.. I have it and set it up once it allows you create groups with menus on your home screen .. not exactly what your looking for but you might like it.. also DENSITY CHANGER APP.. im not sure the exact name .. changes the screen density . This changes the icon size not sure if it will allow you to drop more on there or not..

No problem. This app works just as well on the Nook Color as it does on the Acer. (?!?Maybe even better?!?) Thanks again for sharing the find. I'll use this for a solid couple of days and report back on the stability. As well as any news. So far so good though.

Sense 5

Hello all... I was trying to find if such topic has been presented before.
What is your expectations for Sense 5 as software and inhancements? For me, I wish they consider the following from my experience in HOX+:
- Gmail in mail application: I like to use Gmail in HTC mail app (imap) instead of Gmail official app. However, there is no star option for a message. Hope HTC is fixing this in Sense 5.
- Although I like HTC notes and HTC tasks apps, I wish they will allow to disable it if I want to use different apps. In HOX+ they prevented disabling them as they are connected to calendar and other messaging system. Also, the evernote merging in HTC note app isn't complete and it misses tags.
- I hope they can now provide an option to choose what info I can sync from Facebook (pics, contacts, ...)
- Movie Editor doesn't have a link in gallery app.
- Flickr merging (I like it of course) isn't complete and miss a lot of features. They either make it complete or allow us to disable it if I want to use different client.
- I like the way of Linkedin are being sync into contacts but it doesn't allow to open Linkedin contact link in the official app as it does in Facebook
- Stocks market by HTC & Yahoo doesn't support all market. So, another app is needed. I hope it's been fixed in Sense 5 or being able to be disabled too.

SenseTV, boomsound, Zoe that's about it. I don't care about anything else on sense 5.

I agree they removed the 3Dness of the whole UI which for me is quite weird considering that they are boasting enhanced hardware. Yet they downgrade software. Although a large number of users tend to like it

Honestly as long as the messaging app looks crisp, I'm a happy camper! haha.

Im loving what they did with the UI, it's a million time better but I still don't like the icons. I've never been a big fan of android Icons in general, I'm used to all my icons having the same shape like on iOS. I'm sure ill get used to it, since some icons look nice but there are quite a few that I think are just really bad. Definitely gonna be themeing to get rid of them.

It's all to do with reducing the lag on Sense, making everything flat will mean that everything will be a lot smoother and take less time to load so reduces lag. This is something that I really want as even on Jelly Bean Sense 4+ still lags and stutters at times which on the devices we have it shouldn't happen.
Push mail in the default mail app would be nice too.

It looks way better than the old one. Simple is better :victory:

I wonder if you can view twitter contacts in the 'people' app?

What I like from Sense is the ability to customize the themes (Scenes and Skins options under Personalize settings). But now they removed those options
Wonder if they'll add it back in or is there any apps that have similar functions? Especially since Sense 4+, the Skins also affects the Weather Clock look and feel.
And also, they remove tons of HTC cool widgets.
