I figured I would open this thread due to the all the hooey going on and also the clogging up of Kushdeck's and JaredtheGreat's ICS thread no longer on here, and with preludedrew not posting his roms on XDA. Any questions or issues are welcome and anyone that can help,can feel free to assist. No links will be posted here. Please follow @preludedrew on Twitter for updates and downloads. I've been running the rom for the last 24+ hours. I'm really impressed with how stable it has been. It has some issues mainly dealing with the gallary/camera and setting photos as things etc. but still, for it's alpha stage it's not bad.
I applied the car-o-dope settings and it seemed to calm it down a bit also. These roms should get real fun here soon!

Agreed and the battery life is outstanding. The gallery seems to settle down after a while, but I've been using Quickpic as a picture gallery and makes setting wallpaper and cropping much easier...it works well with ICS and I've gotten no fc's using it. Its free in the market and is a great alternative to stock gallery

You don't have to be a twitter fan, it takes 2 seconds to create an account and search who you want to follow, and check it periodically...keep it as an app on your phone so you don't have to keep signing in all the time. I recommend following @kushdeck as well because he posts test builds not available on XDA also, actually he just posted his alpha 4 build with working camera a little bit ago...

Yeah, I love how everyone was freaking out about a link being posted without even knowing whether or not Drew would be against it. Download links are visible to everyone with an internet connection... there shouldn't be a restriction on posting them.

The problem is with noobs flashing the Rom and something going wrong or running into problems and asking. the noobish questions that the Op isn't qualified to answer. The reason he doesn't care about people posting a link is because he doesn't have to deal with all the noobs and a-holes...

Except noobs flash ROMs and ask repetitive questions all of the time.. Why should we care if someone foolishly flashes a ROM they know nothing about? In any of the other threads, users ask questions which are 9 times out of 10 answered by other users, rather than the devs themselves.

For the last time...that wasn't the issue.... IT WAS IN THE WRONG SECTION that dude developed nothing you look up and see Aamikam look down and see Kushdeck and this a - hole strarted a thread to post a link to somebody elses Rom in the middle of these REAL devs ....when you post a Rom in the dev section you need to be available to address any issues it causes, bug fixes, improvements not drop a link and bone out...

So we couldn't have a thread with a link in it in the development section because the OP wasn't qualified to answer questions, so you open a thread that serves the same exact purpose WITHOUT a link to the ROM? The thread was perfectly at home there. It is a ROM in active development made by a dev who no longer posts here; but he has no problem with his work being posted alongside proper credit. The OP posted it to give room for development conversation.
There are multiple threads set up like this.. the CM threads, for example. After being posted, the poster usually never comes back and all questions and concerns are answered by users like us.
Posting that thread in the development section gave room for people who create mods to share their work, as well as to discuss different ideas regarding the fixing of certain bugs.

That's the sad truth right now- and what most of the new members think. But try posting in the questions and answers Thread (stickied)- I usually have success in there. Or try the IRC (chat) channel (I think stickied) for quick answers.

Keep in mind, I'm pretty sure that's based on 2.1. If on 2.2, my best advice is to not remove the drm apks. (It does caution about media issues, which it def causes on 2.2).

Is it just me or is there WAY too many ROMs now? To be honest, options are always good, but it seems there are so many different ROMs being pushed out and that worries me. It seems the Development thread is getting polluted with all these roms. Most of them seeming useless, at least to me. But what do I know?
Note: Maybe I'm getting tired of waiting for TW
This thread is D.O.A. People complain when there's too little activity in the dev section, but I've never seen anyone complain about too much activity...
Just because TW is your favorite team, doesn't mean they should be the only ones posting roms.
This has got to be the most BS complaint the vibrant forum ever had. Well that's just what I think don't know about what the others will say.

Team Win found an exploit for the 3D. Maybe that could be similarly used against the latest OTA for 4G.

Searching never gets a perfect result... in most cases, unless you have a unique work, you get an over result of unrelated data. I posted something that I thought would be helpful and it is in the correct forum. Sorry if it displeases you. I actually CARE even though I don't need it. How about a Epic chit chat forum so they can throw all the threads in there....like this one.. I do not like seeing them. I want to see Epic threads.
All the vote for me...go click this..charity messages need to go. Everyone has issues whether it be physical, financial or whatever, nobodys life is perfect. If everyone decided to start a thread about their relatives sickness or some bill they got hit with this place would be 10 times the mess that it is now.
I am fine with the charity stuff in your signatures as they can be shut off.
I vote for immediate deletion of any threads that don't fall under the category named in the title of the forum - so if it isn't Epic related, it should be in another section. If it isn't smart phone related, it belongs on a completely different website.
As far as social topics, XDA has no need to compete with facebook/google+/etc...

I wouldn't recommend an ics rom yet unless you have no need for a camera our video camera. I don't believe flash is working right either. I may be wrong about that though. I would suggest unity, Cm7, our miui for rooms to try out until a solid release of ics is available.

They did the research to help narrow your information search to a single forum, the last you can do is understand that unless you are developing new applications or roms or working on a brand new device that your question has already been asked and the onus is on you to actually read the encyclopedia and to write your own report..no one is going to write your report for you, especially not the editors of the encyclopedia..it is gracious that some of these questions even get replies, even if they are flaming you for asking without searching..imo fwiw

At least SAY 'I've looked everywhere! Can you point me to an answer for...' Even if you haven't looked, at least pretend to know how to use a search bar..these things have been around for over a decade lmao you might get help for a dumb question and not get flamed if you at least lie and say you searched
