[Q] v1.3 trying to load latest MIUI, didn't work - Nook Color Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I need some help in installing MIUI to my Nook Color.
The software version of my Nook Color is 1.3
[ Steps ]
1) I download the 128mb_rootpack-0.7.tar.gz from: http://code.google.com/p/monster-rootpack/downloads/list
2) Burn it into SD Card (4gb)
3) Put SD Card into Nook Color and boot up
4) It boots into ClockworkMod Recovery v3.0.0.5
5) I "install zip from sdcard": ClockworkMod Recovery
6) Then I restart Nook Color without the SD Card and it can boot into ClockworkMod Recovery
7) I reformatted the SD Card, and copy "MIUI.us_encore_1.11.4_Eng_Deo_ZipA_Signed_andmer.zip" to the SD Card
8) Again, I "install zip from sdcard": "MIUI.us_encore_1.11.4_Eng_Deo_ZipA_Signed_andmer.zip"
9) I plugged out the SD Card, and reboot Nook Color
10) it always loads up the ClockworkMod Recovery v3.0.0.5 screen......
Please help........

how to boot recovery?

Hello
I followed this guide to root
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17135571
I did everything as given but when i pressed the Up Volume + Power and then down volume, it is stuck in "Starting Fastboot protocol support"
i dont see any recovery. How can i do this?
hi,
After reboot (Vol and Power) you have to wait 3 sec. and you will see a text in the left corner. You can toggle whit vol- and confirm with vol+.
Try it again!
Thanks dude. Got it. But have another problem
When i am in recovery mode when i want to flash the zip file i get the following
Failed to mount /sdcrd (no such file or directory)
Any idea how i can make sure recovery mounts the SD Card?
do you have a SD Card in your xoom? If not then there's the problem, you need a SD Card.
I have a Micro SD Card new one. This is detected in File explorer
Got it working. It looks like the recovery image was not flashed correctly. Its done now and all working fine
thanks for your support

need help with several recovery issues

right now i have mirage rom and CWM 3.2.0.1 on the NOOK
i also have an sd with an older CWM on it (gave me hard time)
i'd like to know few things
1. how do i enter the recovery on the device (except reboot to recovery)
2. how do i update the recovery on the SD to 3.2.0.1 (i'll have an emergency SD for this... no need to reboot every time to recovery)
AFAIK, "into recovery" required a reboot, meaning, you have to reboot then select (or not) recovery option. There's no way entering "recovery" w/o reboot the system.

[HELP] I can only enter in recovery

good afternoon my x5 this morning was with it's led blinking, therefore i try to unlock but with no answer. So i take off the battery and put it again. now when i try to boot it stays on huawei logo and after a couple of minutes it turns off.
It click on power button + volume up it enter in recovery but do the wypes doesn't help and if try to reflash the rom it doesn't find my sdcard, isntall zp form sdcard --> choose zip from sdcard ---> all it appears it's LOST.DIR, the same if i do that through 'choose zip from internal sdcard
it seems that the sdcard isn't recognized, i had tried with another memory card but without sucess,
running last aurora by dzo + extented partition by forumember2
what can i do?
Remove the SD card and see if you can use the internal card

The phone doesint let me install stock roms . It's stuck and nothing happens.

EDIT
If you phone is hard bricked , and no pinkscreen is showing :
Install Ubuntu do this tutorial : http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...4&postcount=39
After that put http://download1135.mediafire.com/1t...g/recovery.img recovery in images folder
Then in recovery Format System / Wipe Cache / Wipe Data and etc.
After that you SD card should be working. Now put in a SD card any rom that you want that is based on 2.3.x VERSION
After that you phone should work
up
Download CWM Recovery 5.0.2.8 and install it from pink screen (It is for U8800, but it is working on U8800Pro well);
https://forumber-projects-for-u8800.googlecode.com/files/recovery5.0.2.8-2.6.35.7-u8800.img
Download and copy to sdcard;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1229769&d=1343593540
Delete anything about dload.
1. Turn on device to recovery
2.advanced > reboot recovery
3.Wipe data factory set
4.mounts and stroage > format system
5.advanced > reboot recovery
5."install from sdcard" and select stock_partition.zip
7.advanced > reboot recovery
8."install from sdcard" and select partition.zip again
9.advanced > reboot recovery
10.Install stock ROM.
Recovery may give errors about mount&format partitions. Don't care about it.

[AOSP 6.0] Can't Access SD Card, Recovery Mode

Hey all,
Let me start off by saying I would have posted this here, but I couldn't due to forum rules. It's because I am noob (less than 10 posts!)
I flashed AOSP 6.0 on my S4 as per the instructions on the above thread, and the ROM is great! Aside from a few bugs/battery issues. :good:
My problem is that my computer does not detect my external SD card, and I cannot boot into Recovery Mode. I have tried the following:
Reformatting the SD Card
Ejecting the SD Card
Recovery Boot using the standard method (press and hold VolUp, Home, Power)
Recovery Boot using Terminal Emulator
Please help! :crying:
Solved
I gained wifi access and installed a reboot app from the play store. That got me back to recovery mode where I could flash AOSP 5.1.
