G4 Wizard - No Signal

I have a G4 T-mobile Vario (Wizard) that doesn't want to perform any of its "phone" functions. i.e. no calls in/out or text messages etc. The phone itself is on and is showing a full signal but when you try make a call it will start dialing and almost instantaneously hang up again, occasionally with some beeps to imply the call has failed. Has anybody come across anything similar? As far as I know the unit hasn't taken any knocks and all other functions are working okay.
Any help would be appreciated
*Update* Even the GPRS works! I don't understand!

im almost having the same problem, mine goes from full bars to zero and back again while the cpu stays at 100% with no signal, yet somehow i can still get edge and connect to the net?

Have you tried flashing to a later radio version, like 2.71? It may solve your problems

ive tried 4 different radio versions.. it seems to me that the software that runs (service?) on the phone at startup that enables it to make voice calls keeps crashing and restarting and ive tried this on 5 different roms too and same result, it usually takes 5 - 10 soft resets, but it pops up and sometimes keeps crashing indefinitely and sometimes it eventually connects.. any ideas?

update: well ive been using the amp rom and for some reason the radios been working perfectly. so maybe thats somethin to try

I am having the same problem as the first poster of this thread.
My phone is a T-Mobile Vario
SPL 2.021.0001
IPL 2.021.0001
Radio 02.19.11
Protocol version 4.1.13.09
Rom version 2.21.2.6 WWE
Rom Date 3/9/06
Basically, I have what appears to be full signal strength. I make a phone call and it says "dialing" then immediately says "Call Ended" with a 00.00 time for the call.
If the imei is blacklisted is there any way I can get it un-listed?
Or is there some other fix I can use to get it working?

Still have the problem posted in my earlier post.
I have tried to contact T-Mobile here in the UK using the "contact us" page, rang the numbers - nothing!!! Their phone system does not work.
They have a phone number listed where you supposedly can register your phone as lost or stolen so they can blacklist it, but the phone number does not work! If you are on T-Mobile you supposedly can phone them using 150 but that doesn't work either! So I can't phone them to ask if my imei number is on their list and if so how I go about getting it removed.
(I bought the phone off e-bay last week, and guess what? The seller hasn't responded to my e-mails asking if he ever made any phone calls using this phone!)
So at present I have a semi BRICK, the PDA part works perfectly well, just the problem with the phone bit.
If anybody has any ideas about what I could / should do next regarding the phone, I would like to hear them!

Have you tried flashing to a new ROM? Its unlikely that it will work, but perhaps it will solve your problem.

T9193 other side can't hear me for first 5secs when I answer an incoming call

I've been getting an issue where the other side cannot hear me when I answer their call for the first 5 or 10 seconds. So I end up having to say "Hello" 4-5 times before they can hear me. I"m thinking maybe it's because I'm using a t9193 on Rogers in Canada?
I've had this issue using the Energy Rom with TMO radios, so then I switched over to Dutty's rom with a Telstra radio (2.07), which seemed to work but the battery drained pretty fast...so I switched to another telstra rom (2.09) and the problem came back.
Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

yes. i have had the same issue. i have noticed with all smartphones there is always something sacraficed. either the ringtone starts off too quiet or the call doesnt register audio quick enough or the phone doesnt hang up immediately. i personally dont have the 5 second thing happen every time, but it does happen enough to call it noticable. doesnt bug me too much tho.

This wasn't going on from very begining when I got the phone. Mine is Telstra as well but Just started noticing it a while back and wondering if it casued by the actual ROM flashing?

It happens to me on occasion as well, not everytime..but when it does happen people tend to just hang up because they hear nothing (which is quite annoying).
I don't think it is a ROM problem b/c I've flashed Dutty's rom w/ radio 2.07.51 and did not have the delay problem, as soon as I flashed to 2.09.51 though, the problem persisted. Going to try a few other radios.

I'm also having the same issue, from time to time when I answer a call I can hear the other party but they can't hear me for anywhere from 5 to 15 seconds..
Telestra T9193 phone with Dutty's rom (5.2.21893.5.0.90) and radio v2.07.51.22_2 and I'm on AT&T in the northeast..
Has anyone been able to resolve this issue?

[Q] Lots of dropped calls [SOLVED]

Hi all. Just noticed that any call that lasts for 10+ minutes will be dropped, no mater what ROM i'm using. During call signal reception is perfect, but as soon as call drops i see "No Signal" icon. After ~5 seconds signal comes back and i can make the call again. Before i was using HTC Legend on the same network and had 0 problems.
After changing good bunch of ROMs (ofcourse with full wipe before) i tried to under-clock CPU (256/768), but no luck. After searching this forum i found another few guys complaining about dropped calls and they were suggested to update radios.
Now i'm using radio 26.03.02.26_M (stock) which seems to be highest version that is compatible with gfree 0.2...
Lads, which radios/ROMs you are using? Any dropped calls? Thank you in advance for any thoughts.

Emm, i totally forgot about this thread. Problem was solved by flashing 26.06.02.27_M radio.

[Q] Vibrant frequently Hanging after ending a call..

I have this strange problem, my phone hangs every time i end a call, so i should pull the battery out and restart. I am using Vibrant from T-mobile in India on Airtel. I am currently on Bionix latest version. i had this problem in earlier versions too.. I have bestskins ever installed on my phone. What i also observed is, when i put my phone in a hard case, it hangs much more.. like hell.. so waiting for inputs..

Do you possibly have the audible tones selected and on? I noticed when I use those (I like the end call tone) then the phkne will hang or fc after end call.

Desire HD doesnt get calls when screen is off

Hi!!
My friend has HTC Desire HD (me to ) and he doesnt get calls when screen is off. He tried a lot of roms, and the problem is still there.
Maby a hardware problem?
Please help us! he is going to sell his device because of that

In the UK its an Orange thing. It hasn't happened recently, but there would be no indication of an incoming call until a few hours later.
But if the caller immediately tried again, the call would go through.
So I would say it is your service provider and not the phone at fault.
