Newbie flash guide custom rom

Easy Guide to Root youre gNote and flash a custom rom!
Approximate Time for Newbies: +/- 30 min.
I am not responsible for any damage ony oure device, by reading further youre warrenty is now avoid!
All respects for those that learned my to do this.
Recommended Roms: ParanoidAndroid Imilka, ParanoidAndroid Utacka
Recommended Kernals: HydraCore Kernal 4.3b
if you ever get tired of youre flashed Rom just start with this again in exact way and to be very safe always head back to Gingerbread Original OS before flashing new ROM
CWM: YOU NEED TO FULLWIPE FIRST IF YOU ARE COMING FROM CUSTOM ROM
a. (vol.up+home+power button)
b. Select wipe data/factory reset & wipe cache partition
1. INSTALL SAMSUNG KIES AND CHECK FOR UPDATES direct link
2. START FROM STOCK ROM
a. Use Odin to GB flash to stock GingerBread odin here
b. Reboot Note in download mode (vol. down+home+power buttons) and then connect
c. PC odin ID:COM turns yellow (ALL THE BEST NOW..!!!)
d. Download youre desired stock gingerbread rom below

Which kernel You have?
(Go to Settings -> About phone -> Kernel Version. Note the string present there: 2.6.35.7-N7000XXKJ4-CL641703 Here Red is kernel version)
Now download tool from below according kernel you have.
I have Kernel KJ1 - Download This– and Extract
I have Kernel KJ4 - Download This - and Extract
I Have Kernel KJ6/KJ7/KJ8 - Download this - and extract
I have Kernel KK1/KK2/KK3/KK4/KK5 - Download This - and Extract
I have Kernel KKA - Download This - and Extract
I have Kernel KK9 - Download This - and Extract
I have kernel KL3 - Download This - and Extract
I have Kernel KL1 - Download This - and Extract
Not in the list? forget this step and follow this guide for the rooting part. Rooting
Before u begin:
Code:
(1) enable "USB DEBUGGING"
from (Menu\Settings\Applications\Development)
(2) enable "UNKNOWN SOURCES"
from (Menu\Settings\Applications)
(3) [OPTIONAL] increase screen timeout to 10 minutes
(4) Close kies SW completely, close if any antivrus SW running
Procedure :
a. Connect device to PC
b. Execute "not-rooted-yet.bat" and follow the instructions.
c. Device will reboot after successfull root, and you can see superuser and CWM application in drawer.
3. INSTALL SAFE KERNEL
a. got to cwm (vol.up+home+power button)
b. select Kernel and select the HYDRACOREKERNEL download here 4.3b is stable! (or take another safe kernal)
c. Device will reboot
d. Voila..You are now EMMC bug free.
4. WIPE DATA
a. Reboot to recovery (vol.up+home+power button)
b. Select wipe data/factory reset & wipe cache partition
5. FLASH ROM
a. Reboot to recovery (vol.up+home+power button)
b. Select Install zip from Memory or sdcard
c. 1st select youre custom rom
d. Then select Gapps
e. Reboot

Nothing else has been made/changed. No apps removed. No KNOX. This is one-time release. You can use Rom Cleaner for fast debloat. This is the "base" for upcoming ArchiDroid 1.7.8, so if you're looking for something more advanced feel free to try my "monster" .
Modem comes in standalone package, rom itself does not change your modem by default.

This ROM uses new set_metadata permissions. Up-to-date recovery is required - initial support was added in CWM 6.0.4.4!

This is "No Wipe" ROM but I can't assure you that you won't run into problems without wiping. In case of issues - Wipe Data/Factory Reset.
This is a big rom, be patient during flahsing and booting.

And BTW, yes, you can include boot.img kernel file to your favourite kernel developer for ramdisk updates, as it's unmodified now.

No, I took build.prop from original base drop. If it didn't contain this line, my build doesn't either.

ro.build.selinux=1 tells system to enable selinux, not disable it...

ML4 had the line in the build.prop in your rom and it was disabled (in german "deaktiviert") ?!

This rom has been prepared for *our* format. It's as clean as possible, ready for (optional) modifications. Every base modification is listed in the first post.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

no because wifi wasn't working with a clean flash.
I'm currently looking into the bug and when fixed i'wll upload a new build.

I have a pink line running down the center of my phone maybe you could help me out do you know of anything that I can do to fix this please I already done star pound zero star pound and let it set on red green and blue for 5 minutes each then I turn my phone off for 5 minutes and turn back on and it was still there do you have any ideas please

What is Xiaomi Firmware Updater?
A set of various scripts that automatically generates Xiaomi firmware flashable zip files for every MIUI new update! My scripts download MIUI official ROMs, both Developer and Stable, Global, EEA, India, and China, extract firmware either from the firmware-update folder or from update payload, generate firmware flashable zip with auto-written "updater-script", and uploads them automatically to multiple servers. These scripts are completely automated, running on a Linux server every X hours.
Notes:
Firmware filenames for this device are in the following manner:
fw_toco_miui_TOCOGlobal_*.zip is Mi Note 10 Lite (toco) Global firmware.
fw_toco_miui_TOCOEEAGlobal_*.zip is Mi Note 10 Lite (toco) EEA Global firmware.

What is firmware? Is it a full ROM or OTA package?
Firmware is not a ROM nor OTA Package, it's a set of low-level drivers which helps the operating system do whatever it wants to do. It includes various things like Modem, Bluetooth, Bootloader, DSP and etc.
Why should I update the Firmware?
Firmware is provided from Xiaomi directly, and there are no sources for it to let developers build and edit it on their own like custom ROMs, so if you want to keep your device up to date always update your firmware!
Do I need to update the Firmware If I'm an MIUI official or a custom ROM user?
No, MIUI ROMs contain the firmware-update package which I extract and provide here.
What are the supported devices?
All Snapdragon and MTK devices including China-only devices.

How to update the firmware?
1- Download the package you want to flash. IT MUST BE NAMED WITH THE SAME CODENAME OF YOUR DEVICE.
2- Flash it using TWRP or any custom recovery. There's no need to wipe/format anything before or after the installation.
How to check the updated firmware?
Usually, the modem gets updated with newer firmware, you can check it in Settings > About > Baseband.
