build CM for Galaxy Ace - Galaxy Ace S5830 Android Development

Hi, I would like to compile the CM version from ilarrain [https://github.com/ilarrain/android] but I become a error message after this command ->
Code:
. build/envsetup.sh && brunch galaxyace
can someone please help me!? Why does this happen?
And maybe I can implement some improvements from my good old "Samsung Spica" -> https://github.com/voku/ (e.g.: new SQLite, optimized Gallery3D, ...)

Good question, is there a thread with listed sources for the Galaxy Ace?
And why are the last changes for this device not commit to CyanogenMod -> e.g.: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_device_samsung_galaxyace/network
PS: I will redownload the whole source-tree from CyanogenMod and will try again ...

Original german O2 XDA Orbit 2 ROM

Can someone post the Original german O2 XDA Orbit 2 ROM please?
Thanks very much!
Oh, I'd like to have it too. I hate it, but it's neccessary if you send the device for repairment Forgot to dump mine before flashing
I could dump if I knew how. The guide in the wikipedia contains some broken links...
So not all of the apps needed are available there.

Well, I have sent devices 2 times to O2 for repair (XDA Mini S and XDA Neo). Both times they sent me new ones (the best option ). And I had flashed them both with non-official ROMs, then flashed the original German one before sending. I'm not sure though whether I'd done Hard SPL changes - I'm not very much into it - I just followed some guides back then
So could someone please give me a setp by step guide, how to dump my O2 rom?
Thanks!
Dump
I dumped according to instructions but I don't really know what to do with the .raw files. Anyway, hope this helps:

Ist nicht schwierig, nur die Anweisungen durchlesen und befolgen
Its not hard at all, just follow the instuctions given in the WIKI.
I compiled my own backup ROM out of a ROM dump I made before flashing HardSPL and the WWE ROM. Just in case, you never know

So did you dump the German O2 Orbit 2 ROM?
Can you post it somewhere please?
Jap, the WIKI-ELF-ROM-Dump entry.
The link to the toolset is broken, but google knows everything
I extracted all the RAW files, treated them according to the WIKI and the result in the end was a nice RUU_signed.nbh weighing 103'789kb. I'm uploading right now. Will post the link when done.

I dumped my ROM. I followed all instructions given in the ELF-ROM-DUMP WIKI. In the end I had a RUU_signed.nbh, 103'789KB in size, so around 101MB.
Unfortunately, while uploading, my notebook went to standby. I'll upload it again, it takes me 30 minutes. Stay tuned, I'll post the megaupload link in this thread.

Since this is an English forum, I'll answer in English.
Yes and no. You can decompile the ROM dump and this way you gain access to all the files in the ROM. If you can decompile the nbh file, I don't know... I'll see if I can find the fms_api.dll in my backup files.
Edit: RAR attached

[FYI] German Samsung Support announced 2.3.4 for I9000HKDDBT

Hi All, just for your information:
On the German Samsung website i found the FAQ item [19123] which says that Gingerbread is coming to Germany on 06.06.2011
So I start a chat with a support guy and asked for the missing update. His answers are:
Cause of some problems the Update is deleayed
They work hard on it to relase the update within the next few days
And they will release Gingerbread 2.3.4!!!
I can't wait to see if this is true!
I hope so... 2.3.4 would be fine.

I apologize for my German post, too!
You can reach the FAQ Item by the following steps:
Visit Samsung[dot]de
Click Support (upper right corner)
Click FAQ
Search for "Gingerbread"
this is what i was told from samsung:
"Es wird kein deutsches Update der Version 2.3.3 geben. Die Version die zum Update angeboten wird, wird 2.3.4 sein.
Einen definitiven Termin kann ich Ihnen nicht nennen. Meiner Meinung nach wird es in den nächsten Tagen für freie Geräte soweit sein."
NICE!!!
Well, i heard the same a few minutes ago from the support. Maybe without the battery drain bug by default

AWESOME!! Can't wait to use odin
faq is telling about 2.3 not 2.3.4 in particular and i was unable to confirm this revelation in two languages samsung call centers =)
so my guess someone made a joke on the line there - no wonder it is hot as hell ;d
but ofc i would realy like that it was no joke!
Read the first post again. This info comes from support guy not faq page.
Usually employees get fired for false info or embarrasing moments.
lol read my post again =)

i called two call centers and they did not confirmed that
as well as polish samsung twitter something like two weeks ago but that was question regarding polish version only... but still
you call and tell us
Were those 2 centres aware of 06.06 date mentioned in faq?
it is 08.06 already
waiting patiently how this will develop
One more quote:
[15:43:20] Chikess:
[15:48:41] Ralf Bender, Kundenberater Mobiltelefone:

In english:
me:
i heard that instead of 2.3.3, 2.3.4 would be rolled out in germany, is that right?
samsung: yes, thats true. In germany only the new 2.3.4 will be available.

I know it is 8th already. But the question is did they know about the date. If they had no idea, then of course they say no to you.
maybe thats some new inside decision, as i said my info is about two weeks old
on the other hand after releasing test version of 2.3.4 for such a crapphone as galaxy mini who knows what will follow next
on one more hand why not release latest update to sgs2 first (it brings talk with video for example) so why not sgs2? maybe for test on earlier model or maybe they are talkin bout #2 from begining ;]
maybe because the sgs2 is more in the child age rather than the sgs, lets hope, that the 2.3.4 update would that right as we wanted it - and please no tw4 wishes
Gud news. No reason to use cm7 2.3.4 then

"badaNEXT" - Making a better bada

I do not know whether the idea meets with interest ...
I'll throw the idea but just once in the round ...
We all know that bada shall have its flaws and missing features that only by custom ROM can be upgraded ...

Therefore, would initially only once to clarify how the ROM should be made more technically ...

I thought there's no way to edit RBM files to date? I might try my hands on something (using ho1ods source) myself, but that might take a long time.
Alright, I've taken a look at the RBM files internal structure, and it doesn't look any good :-/.
While the internal structure itself is actually pretty easy, the problem lies in the embedded images. Four(!) different compression methods are used: LZ16, LZ32, QMG16 and QMG32. No way that I can do this all on my own. I could do decode/encode for LZ16/LZ32, but QMG is used for most.
The only chance that I see right now is, IF RBM is also used for Samsungs Android FWs that we'll get support from this side.
Maybe RBM step by step..
Step 1 disable Pictures... like here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27932409&postcount=124
Step 2 could be replace content... or replace by other Pic from other RBM...
If I have more time... I will play again with bada SDK...
Maybe easier to try modified RBM instead RC1 flashing on device...
Best Regards

Have you tried Achotjan's SEMC Debrand Engine CM 7.2 ROM? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1400384 It's fast, has Xperia S' Firmware, apps and even original lockscreen. Also, you can try DiKej's DiXperia 8 ROM, which is very similar; also based on Xperia S theme/interface and CM 7.2.
Or, if you want ICS fast and stable, I would recommend Achotjan's SEMC Debrand Engine CM 9 ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1965154 (see the pseudo-review made here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2164553)
If you don't like Sony's interface and you want ICS Google/original one - this is it: X10forevers' Slimbean v 4.0 Kickass Edition http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2064389.
I hope this helps you, happy flashing! :cyclops:
AW: [Q] help plz...need stable rom for my x10
I wouldnt suggest you to use a jelly bean rom ,if you want the best experience use either achtjotans semc debrand engine or dixperia 7/ 8 stock based....
