I don't think, doesn't ICS need 3.0 kernel (edit :without backporting)?
Honeycomb used 2.6.36 kernel.
This is 2.6.35

Maybe when my laptop back from repairs I have time to back contribute here, but why I always fail to download from opensource.samsung.com?

It's downloading for me, but very slow. Will upload to multiupload when done.

Downloading...
but very sloww...this will take time..
@ketut Welcome back bro..
whats new with this kernel?can we use this with our custom roms without any conflicts??

How should i flash this?Tried via CWM but failed its stuck on "replacing stock recovery with cwm recovery"
Thx for sharing!
Tested on latest CM9 build and it works but disappears after 1 reboot
Nice add on
Yes, it's a fakeflash, one of the devs need to integrate it in a kernel, I want to do, but I need a tester

So what does it mean for users.
Does it mean that ROMs like CM9 will start supporting everything like S-Pen, FM radio etc.,?
Or does it mean we will see slightly modified versions of stock roms. For example touchwiz removed, but swype there.

You are going to see a lot of different Roms once we have several safe custom kerenels.
CM9 will always remain lean and Samsung-free, but there'll be lots of CM9-based hybrid Roms catering for everybody's needs. Also, a lot of TW-based Roms.
I suspect that our Dev will soon start to look like SGS2 one:

As suspected, the N7000 ICS kernel is far from different from any i9100 iCS kernels !!!
I made comparison from all i91000 ICS kernels, and there were only slight diffs from "European" (called Open source : GT-I9100_ICS and GT-I9100P_ICS), with Korean Update 3 and Update 4.
The major changes came from i9100 Korean ICS update 5 !!!
This first N7000 ICS kernel is completely different from any previously quoted i9100 ICS kernels, including Korean ICS update 5 !!!

So does this mean this source is really old or maybe really new?
I hope kernel devs sees this and take into account: best feature of a kernel will be dual-boot mode, like siyah's kernel for SGS2 :X

Siyah kernel for N7000 is coming soon...!?

today, i founded N7000 fix at Siyah kernel github.
is mic Fix and mmc fix etc... (finally added kernel defconfig file)
i'm really excited now!!
But he dosen't have N7000 device. we will have to wait release....
Would be awesome if he started building a kernel for our beloved Note

Oh wow ! can't wait for Siyah kernel
It would be awesome if he did but I doubt that is why you see that there. Back in version 2.x he implemented some fix from the n7000 firmware for the gt-i9100. I remember because I used to have that phone and ran that exact version of firmware..I used to love siyah kernels something new happened almost every day at the beginning when he first started making it..
Looks like he tried wifi drivers from the n7000 judging by this http://www.gokhanmoral.com/gm/2012/05/24/siyah-v3-2-6/
Some stuff was done around v2.1...

Porting MIUI v5 to N7105 - seasoned flasher with actual "cojones of steel" required!!
Ok guys, I own a Note 2 N7100, but my wife's N7105 in on it's way.. I have spent the last 3 days reading, reading and reading guide after guide about porting roms and miui roms so I'm pretty sure I've got all bases covered!
I have modified MyMiui v5 by aminalmo from the At&T thread..
I'm uploading it now, would really appreciate if a real dev could take an interest in this to take over and do it "properly"..
Here's the link, obviously flash only if you take ALL responsibility for doing so!
But please report back!!!!!!!
So, who's adventurous enough?

I have a note 2 lte (N7105T)
This Rom seems to be quite stable as does Aminalmo's which also works for me, only bug so far is the fc when a caller hangs up first. Apart from that i cant tell the difference from this rom and Aminalmo's
Thanks for posting this Miui V5 is a really nice smooth rom - i switched to perseus kernel and it seems to be work well also.
Hope this info helps.
