[Q] Flash Problem - Galaxy Spica General

Hi,
O was trying to flash the Spica i have with the 2.1 eclair from this site here (http://androidadvices.com/update-sa...-enhanced-eclair-21-firmware/4/#axzz1hUOWV4sN)
I followed all teh intructions, but on ODIN, i just get that it is detected and it trying to start tyhe connection...
reason why i wanted to flash to eclair is because im having ano boot problem, it just stays stuck on the samsung logo after loading and doesn't do anything else....
any suggestions??

after a few mins of looking for a solution outside xda after searching here for about 2 hours, i was able to resolve it, i followed the intructions from here(http://forum.samdroid.net/f28/phone-stuck-samsung-logo-my-phone-bricked-1840/)...
Keep spica_jc3.ops in Select OPS field.
Click Reset Files to clear the fields.
In Select Images to download panel, Select I570EXXJA1_CLI32638_Bootloader.tar into BOOT field,I570XXJB4_Phone.tar into PHONE field, I570EOLBJB3-CSC-CL167487-OLB.tar into CSA field, and let the PDAfield empty.
In Debug Option panel, tick Debug Only and PDA Format option. Don’t tick One Package option in Option Panel.

Few SGS problems

Hi, i em new to whole android scene and i have my SGS just few days, but i recognize a lot of downsides in original FW so i decided do flash leatest 2.2 froyo.
I fallowed instructions on samsung-firmwares.com
and try to flash via odin, phone connected to odin, showed some yellow brackeds with com written inside.
so i mounted pit file, and other three files i downloaded from narod.ru
here they are:
GT-I9000-CSC-MULTI-OXAJP3
I9000XXJP3
I9000XXJP3-REV03-PDA-mid-CL470734
all .tar files
when i hit start, first window gone blue and write restart or reset other thee yellow gone red and write fail. I get cold swet and disconnect the phone and try to turn it on, it turned on just fine and it looks flashed to 2.2, so i turn it off again plug in sim card, turn it on again and everyting work perfect it showes froyo 2.2 and JP3, but is this normal procedure?
I encountered just two things, how to install flash player? i try to instal it from market but this just add url link for download from adobe, but this not work
and second when the screen locks(default lockscreen), it goes dark, but after i unlock it its still dark and i need to setup brightnes manualy, everytime screen is locked and unlocked i need to manualy set brightnes level cos its on the darkest one.

Wont boot CWM only downloading Mode

Hi guys,
I've looked at the other ppl's posted but they dont seem to fix my problem :-(
1. I cant get into CWM on the first screen when holding down power+down the screen just flashes and sits there at the same option screen of CWM or downloading and doesnt go anywhere else!
2. I can select downloading option and it sits there at the ODIN3 download mode - I have tried various .md5 files to try and recover it but once its loaded the light blue loading bar the device restarts and just goes straight back into ODIN3 download mode with - downloading (do not turn off target) and yes i've waited waited and it isnt doing anything!
3. I cant see it as a external/SD device on my Windows to try and upload or modify stuff there either!
4. I cant get it to see it so I can use Kies to fix it!
Please does anyone know what to do next? Answer on a postcard?
Thanks in advanced!

Lots of conflicting info above please clarify - you said you tried various md5 file but you said your pc is not seeing tje tab. You need to fix the driver situtation before trying Odin.
You said in line 1 that it does not go anywhere in the cwn screen but you can select odin mode in line 2 so which is it
When at cwm can you access the menu and select any of the options?

[Q] Son's phone doesnt work......

My son's Galaxy S4 has recently quit working and the following is what shows up on his screen along with a little robot icon with an open door that say's "No Command" under it.
Android system recovery<3e>
KTU84P.I337UCUFNJ4
Volume up/down to move highlight;
power button to select.
reboot system now
apply update from ADB
apply update from external storage
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
apply update from cache
My son say's he has tried each of these items and has had no luck. At the bottom of the screen is the following message,
# Manual Mode #
--Appling Multi-CSC...
Applied the CSC-code : ATT
Successfully applied multi-CSC
Neither of us are tech types and are stumped by this. Please give some detailed directions to help a Grandpa help his son.
Use the volume up and down keys and scroll down to data factory reset and use the power button to select it then after it completes scroll down to wipe cache partition and use power key to select it after its done scroll up to reboot phone and use power key to select phone should restart and power on good luck
Well I followed the steps provided and it is just the same as when I started.
I tried it 3 times without luck.
Anyone know what else I might try?
If you can get the phone into download mode, hold volume down, home and power at the same time. You can use odin to flash the NB1 tar file in the AP slot on the new version of odin, PDA in older ones. You'll need the drivers for the phone which can be found on samsungs website. Info on how to do all that can be found here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-att/general/guide-odin-to-stock-updating-rooting-t2926642 Hope you can get it working again.
Thank you for the help, I am attempting to follow your instructions now. Just have a question that may sound really dumb.
Do I need to have a simcard in the phone to do this?
This type of Tech is not my area so I really dont know.
I never tried it without a sim card but it should still work. After odin installs the new firmware, it will reboot the phone and you'll set it up just like it was new. Just make sure to follow the instructions in the thread I linked to.
No Joy......
After trying multiple times in the last few hours I still have the same screen. I downloaded the latest drivers to my pc, downloaded and installed Odin on my pc. Changed usb cables and ports and still the same screen.
It wont boot up, I cant get it to download mode, I cant get it to do anything. I think this thing is a "brick" now.
Thanks for the help folks, I appreciate it.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.
That sucks you couldn't get it to work. You can take it to a samsung service center if you have a best buy near you That has one. Maybe they can get it to work. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you to.

Trying to go back to stock firmware. Need help

I was messing around trying to root my phone. Now its stuck in the ODIN mode. Which is the necessary ODIN and stock firmware to flash it? Do all I need to do is load into ODIN using volume down home and power. And in ODIN, click AP and choose the tar file, and then start? Can someone link me the proper ODIN and AP file please? My phone is a brick. Im a retard noob. : ( lol. Im trying though. Any help is appreciated.
It says "An error has occured while updating the device software. Use the emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software.
Using Samsung Switch
All hope is not lost. You may have done what I just did and tried to flash a root exploit inappropriate to you phone's firmware version. At this time, the latest factory firmware that you can revert to is rev02 (files with the string "G935TUVU4BQB1" in their name). If you're on the latest T-Mobile update, the you've got factory rev03 firmware, for which no online release is available. Basically, T-Mo users can't restore if we try to root and screw up. But don't panic yet. Hopefully you have a computer to install Samsung Switch on.
1) Download and install Switch, and start it up with your phone unplugged. When it shows the animation of connecting your phone, do so. It probably will list it as an unrecognised device, ignore that.
2)Next to the minimise button in the upper right, select "more", then "Emergency software recovery and initialization". Go to the second tab in the window that pops up, labeled "Device initialization". If you've got the T-Mobile version of the S7 Edge, your model number is SM-G935T (which I'm assuming since we're in the T-Mo subforum). If it rejects the model number, ensure that your internet connection is working; I experienced network issues at the same time and drove myself nuts for a few minutes.
3) It then asks for your device serial number. If you know that, great. Otherwise, unplug your device. Perform a safe reboot by holding Home+Volume Up+Power, and release when a blue screen comes up informing you that loading custom OSes is dangerous. At this point, push the Home key (which the phone should say leads to barcode). The barcode screen will have your serial number on it, write it down. Safe boot the phone again (Home+Volume Up+Power), but this time press Volume Up to get back to download mode. Go back to Switch, which reset itself when you power-cycled the device, go back to that "more" menu, to the second tab. Input your model again, followed by the serial you just wrote down.
4) At this point, Switch should start downloading a pretty big file. If it's anything like the size of the other factory firmwares I tried downloading (the rev02 ones that won't work, with the G935TUVU4BQB1 in the names), then it should be around 2GB. Wait for that to finish, and it'll start pushing it to the phone automatically. Afterward, your phone has been factory reset, and will ask you to sign in with a Google account that has been previously linked to it. This will most likely be the one you were using before you tried to root. From there, it's like doing the first time setup of a new phone.
Sorry my recommendation is a month late for you, I only just had the same problem tonight. We should have been on the same firmware version, though, so if you're still looking for a solution, then give this a go. Hopefully it also helps people who get stuck in a similar conundrum. Good luck!

do you have a option if the smart switch is not recognizing at all?
