Disable "XDA Developers" screen? - XPERIA X10 General

Is it possible to disable the XDA Developers screen that appears after the SE logo, and right before the bootanimation? It really slows down the boot...
(I have already disabled the bootanimation by adding a code to build.prop)

I think u are using free kernel
U must unlock bootloader and flash doomkernel v06 then u won't have se white logo screen and u will only have the kernel logo

That's not what I want.
I'm talking about the screen saying "XDA Developers" that appears after the SE logo and before the bootanimation.
And I'm actually using Doomlord's kernel (locked bootloader). I just used the "XDA Developers" screen as an example since it's probably more known than the "Xperia" screen from Doomlord's kernel.

Not possible as far I know.

Why it's not possible? I think it's possible, by unpacking the ramdisk from boot.img & delete the logo & repacking it

well yeah I'm pretty sure it's doable with Azuz's tools in windows, You should take the boot.img for the custom kernel, unpack the ramdisk, delete the .rle logo file & repack it again

What i think is the .rle is shown at the time custom kernel is being loaded and being booted up
So deleting the .rle would show black screen?and then phone will boot up?not sure...

the probles is: I do not want a new boot animation! instead I want to have NO ANIMATION at all!
I just want to see kernel messages like debian linux

Boot animation files are in .
system /Media /
Delete Boot Animation Zip
Delete Boot Samsung.qmg
Delete Boot Samsungloop.qmg
Does no boot animation = kernel messages on Android .
jje
@jje: tanx
but removing that files results in blank boot screen, no kernel message displayed.

It's a "fake", it's not the real kernel messages like mf_417 wants, it's only a video. And you're right, it's one of the animations proposed by the romkitchen. (BIOS #2 Boot Animation)
I havn't seen yet anything which allows to display kernel messages on boot.

In that case - no. That part is inside kernel, and kernel is locked...
You can change bootanimation at least.
Oh. That's what I thought at first.
Now I'm enlightened. Thanks!

That's a kernel thing I think
Sent from my LG GT540
think that could change with some software like for htc phone
thats part of kernel maybe u can go ask in the roms thread?
You need to unpack boot.img then you can change logo (file .rle), pack again it and flash to phone.
it´s more difficult than I thought
i know right >_>
Anyone had any luck doing this?? very interested in trying.

Yeah, by that time every custom rom had its custom bootsplash xD
You have to decompile the kernel and replace a raw image inside if I recall... I did it back then but didn't convert any image to raw, i simply decompiled 2 kernels and swapped the raws but I think you can convert a jpg or png to raw with gimp.

Its necessary to have a custom rom and that you can change by opening the boot.img from a custom rom by KITCHEN and then open an .rle file (i hv a fit so for me it is BENI.rle you can ask someone else) and then convert it to png and replace the original one to the new one and then repack it......
ITS DONE
DO PRESS THNX IF I HELPED
NEW TO XDA
custom boot animation does not matter , Unless u wan to show off by priodically turning off/on ur cell -_- but i dont see a point in that
just take care of what ur theme looks like ,
dATS all that really matter , REALLY !!
any way to change the splash screen of this phone???????
If you want to change splash screen that shows the model of device, I think it is stored on boot.img and you have to extract it.

Are you referring to the bootanimation screen? The red verizon animation? If so.. read through this thread. Lots of animations there.

I've not browsed through all of them. Give me a few and I'll get the stock Samsung animation uploaded for you. Is your device rooted with Safestrap?
Here is a zip I made a while back with instructions on what needs to be done. Use the thread Bigbot linked for the animations.

I didn't flash that with safestap.
I just extracted these two files from the .zip you provided.
1) bootsamsung.qmg
2) bootsamsungloop.qmg
and paste them in the system/media folder, set permissions correctly and rebooted.
voila! Samsung Default Animations are acheived !! T
