[Q] Un-blacklisted phone still cannot make calls or send texts - HD2 General

Hey guys, I have a serious problem with my HD2. It has been blacklisted some time ago but I've convinced my operator to re-enable it. However until I replaced android with stock rom, it would keep saying "no service". Now back on WinMo, I can access internet but still cannot make or receive any phonecalls or texts. In the top notification area it shows that I am connected to 3G but the coverage indicator next to it shows an exclamation mark instead of bars for signal strength. Does anybody recognize this type of behaviour? Any ideas what needs to be done to make my beloved Leo working 100% again?

i have same problem with my iphone cant call or text but can use data services

Bought the phone from ebay. It worked fine for 3 months and then suddenly stopped receiving signal. Got in touch with seller who queried it with their operator and insurance company and came back to me saying that they have nothing to do with it. I then convinced my operator to un-blacklist it but it wouldn't work anyway. Then I've flashed back the evil windows and internet started working but still no calls or texts. My operator says they've done everything the could...

its not just data thats not working. The phone wont connect to tmobile. It would not find any network. Just shows me a x above the network signal bars. I have even tried a factory wipe. Nothing works. I fear it might be the s=off state thats causing it.

I've done that but it did not work even though in stock rom or cook rom.
Could also possibly be a problem with the network... Masts do break down. Have you tried your sim in a different phone?

[Q] Simple Mobile help!!

I recently switched to Simple Mobile a couple days ago, and when i tried starting it up on my My Touch 4g, kept dropping my calls and my texts won't go through. I have searched for 2 days already for any problems relating to this on the web, and nothing. I even called Simple Mobile to see if they knew how to resolve it and they kept telling me that the network is down and that i needed to wait 24 hrs. Its been 72 hrs and, its still not working.. Someone plz help.. My phone is rooted and S=off and is running on CM 7 the latest ROM. Just the funny this is that the internet is working just fine. Thank you
Are you using the Simple Mobile APNs? That was my mistake when I switched to SimpleMobile.
Yes I am I switched the apn settings, its just weird... I still haven't gotten it to work... I mean I had my brother call me and the call went through but it came up as unknown. I was wondering if maybe my radio frequency got messed up..

htc EVO flashed to Boost

Why after flashing this phone data connections are so bad? I don't understand why after 3 attempts my phone is not working properly. I keep getting errors 104, 128, and 67 data call failure. The guy that flashed it told me that everything would work just like if it was on Sprint and now this sporadically connects data and then just stops and I have to either restart the phone or turn off and on the mobile connection so that out works for a few minutes and then kaput. Please help me! I don't want to divorce my evo.

you would need probably a reflash... and beware of flasher using bogus doner phones. I heard they are using 8 lines or more per phone and with invented nv items or passwords.. they all tend to go wrong...
What do you mean 8 lines or more per phone? This phone I bought myself and it was still active on Sprint when I had it flashed. The phone was working flawlessly on Sprint but now it just gives me a bunch of errors.

Your MIP data profile 0 and 1 need there HA and AAA shared passwords. Did the guy who flashed your phone provide you with any files from your donor phone and I take it talk works ? and no 3G icon to next to your signal bars ?
No, my phone has the 3G on but, it comes and goes every time and I find myself resetting the mobile network connection every 20 minutes or so.

This happened on my first nexus 4. Nothing fixed it. Nothing. Hopefully your situation is different. If nothing works, flash back to stock and start the RMA process. Google said it was a hardware failure with mine by the way.

Did your happen when you first got it or after you had it for awhile? And what's the RMA process

The periodic loss of signal was there since day. I still have it on my new one. Others do as well, but one day it went out and never came back on. I believe it was a different issue than just random signal loss. Google said hardware failed in it. You have to contact Google to start an RMA. I'm also not implying that your signal won't come back on at some time either. Personally I would flash everything back to stock. Go to a t mobile store and get a new Sim card and if no signal still then contact Google

Under settings, then data, then mobile networks, then to network operators.
let it search, even if it doesn't find anything or errors.
Then click choose automatically.
If you frequently travel out of 3g/H areas, you need that checked or the phone won't roam from tower to tower. you will get no signal.
Also, if that don't work, you can try clicking on a network it finds, and let it register, your signal may come back.
This is a common problem with those that don't live in big cities or near full strength 3g/h areas.
The phone doesn't handle tower handoffs well. Crappy LG modems.

I'm currently going through the RMA process over virtually the exact same issue. However, I've been running franco's nightlies lately and up until he restored the HSIC/wifi stuff to stock in r154 I was actually experiencing less data drops and rapid tower swapping (constantly going from 3g to H and back rendering consistent data inoperable). *shrug* I feel as if it's something in the hardware on the cusp of failing because sometimes it does it more and sometimes it does it less. It's rather weird. I'm also on T-mobile towers through an MVNO (Straight Talk).
I just cancelled and switched to ATT go phone.
I have RMA'd 2 devices, tried multpie new simcards, relflashed, tried new radios, and nothing worked.
It no longer switches from 3g to H on ATT network.
It stays in H constantly.
Also, no more signal drops or loss of signal.
I have 100% signal all the time now.
The data is a little more expensive, but worth it for the coverage so far.
It's not your phone, it's the tmobile network.
