Network stopped working :/ - Nexus S General

Hey, so I WAS on nexus beam v3.0 and everything was working great, but then v4 came out and I wanted to try it out. So I backed up everything, did a full wipe, and flashed it. The network wasn't on when it booted up and I waited a little bit to see if it would kick in, but it didnt. So I did another wipe and restored my old rom. But when it booted up..NO NETWORK. so i tried rebooting, removing the sim, flashing a new radio, eveything I could think of and nothings worked so far. Does anyone have any insight to this problem or can direct me to an answer? Thanks so much in advance!

[SOLVED] Nexus 4 won't recognize SIM, after installing ROMs

Hello, I have a problem with my Nexus 4.
Everything was working fine (Even the SIM card) under a MIUI ROM, obtained from the MIUI port team of XDA. I wanted to install Ubuntu Phone, so I wiped everything.
When I say everything, is everything: Cache, Data, Dalvik... And I formated everything too: System, Data, Sdcard... So the problems started. I wasn't able to flash the phone to go back to stock, with the Nexus Rootkit. I installed the 1.6.6, the last version, and after many attemps I have now a fully customizable phone again, which is able to go back to stock or to a custom ROM, if I want.
The problem is that the SIM is not working. I'm trying to flash to 4.2.2 Stock again (because I've tried it two times) to see if it fixes the problem, but I guess that again, it won't.
So, any ideas?
Thank you very much indeed.
EDIT: The 4.3 update arrived and it fixed the problem automatically.

S5 G900V Freezes and Crashes Every 30 Seconds

Hello all,
I recently went through the process of installing CM 14.1 on my Verizon-Unlocked Galaxy S5.
Everything was working fine until about 3 weeks ago when I started messing with the system settings.
My phone started freezing and crashing, so I attempted to reinstall CM 14.1 multiple times.
I have wiped everything on the phone multiple times through TWRP (System, Data, SD Card, Everything...) and I am still having the same issue.
The phone boots fine, and I am able to get through the first two menus in the initial setup, but then the screen freezes and the phone restarts.
I have tried replacing the battery, thinking that would fix the problem, but it didn't...
Should I revert back to the stock ROM and start from there, rooting and such, until I make my way back to CM?
Thanks everyone, Luke
If youre still having problems, try reflashing your rom and then flash an older version of opengapps, I think I used the one from 01/16/17. The new opengapps were giving me the same exact problem.
Dang, I wish I would have seen this sooner... I went ahead and flashed back to the stock Verizon ROM with root. Thanks though! Maybe this can help someone else.

Screen rotation

Hi guys. Over the weekend, I was running Android O beta, just to give it a spin and see how it was. Everything was working ok, but then I missed the good features of AOSP, so I decided to come back to it. So on Sunday night, I flashed back the previous rom, including the vendor, bootloader and radio as requested on the OP. But the problem was that the screen rotation wasn't working, no matter what I tried. I even tried other roms, to see if the problem was from the rom, but no, the problem persisted. I flashed stock again, and the problem was also there. I gave Google a call and they sent me some steps to go through and none of them solved my problem as well. So, I decided to flash back the O Beta, and voila, the problem was gone. My question, have I done anything wrong, any step that I may have missed? Or is it the drivers? Any help/suggestion is highly appreciatted
Did you factory reset or wiped data? It's sometimes necessary when downgrading.
I did yes. It was the first thing I did as soon as I got TWRP installed on it,because it was asking for the encryption key, to which it never what it was(tried my password and my lock screen code, but none of them worked,so just ended up wiping the whole data)

my Mi Note is dead.

Hi everybody.
Dis morning I woke up and I realized that my phone was gone. I used AOSP Extendend ROM when it happens. At first, the rom completely froze. I thought it was a bug, so I rebooted the phone, but after did dis, the phone kept on rebooting and froze on first screen and I couldn't do anything. Touch didn't respond, nothing worked.
So I tried to go on recovety, but nothing.
At the end, I gave up about take back my data and try to install the stock ROM through MiFlash. I tried different stock ROM, but at the first they works, but during the installation guide they froze again and reboot. I can't even finish the setup!
So I tried again, unlock bootloader, flash TWRP, but still there:
- only TWRP v2.0 works, other versions won't start
- even with TWRP v2.0, after did wipe everything and format, when I tried to install a custom ROM, even TWRP froze and reboot the phone
- TWRP is pretty useless, it keeps on froze and when I boot recovery again, TWRP is locked and I have to format everything again, but still don't work.
Someone could tell me what happened to my phone? Any suggestions about what I could to to install something on my phone?
Pls help me, I am completely lost and disperate
You may in deed have a serious hardware problem.
What you can do without opening it up is to try charging it overnight, and see how it works tomorrow.
You have tried everything else you can think of, I assume, like wiping & formatting everything you can in TWRP, and possibly "repairing file system" if there is such an option.
The next thing I would try is opening it up and disconnecting the battery for a while, then connecting it again to see what happens.

Ok, I will listen your tip. Yeah, I have tried everything but nothing. Technically, I bought this phone last december, so it's still covered by warranty, but I have to send it to China, I would avoid that if I can.
I hoped there would be something that I didn't but...nothing.
Thanks anyway dude
